I find it funny that instead of Austria starting the Great War, since there is no Serbia, it is France’s own declaration.
Historically, France wanted revenge against Germany for the defeat in the Franco-Prussian War, so that is a factor inciting war on the part of the French and Kaiser William II wanted a world empire.
@@franciscomendez8350 yeah. That’s why France made the alliance with Russia, who also guaranteed the balkans, particularly Serbia. It limited the power of Germany and A-H, but it’s just funny how France would go at them outright. Where they are to blame for the war instead of Austria-Hungry.
@@franciscomendez8350wow 😂
But they were counter avenged by the Fuhrer who liked to painte a new Europe 😂
@franciscomendez8350 Actually, the German Empire had no interest in "world domination" and would more likely just take some of France and Russia, along with some French and British colonies. If they wanted to have a form of "world domination" the German Empire would simply take Britain's place as a colonial power and would try to establish good relations with America for trade.
@@RodneyHeather Sorry, I think I used wrong my words. When talking about a world empire, i was referring to a world power such as Great Britain or the Spanish empire where the sun never sets.
The Ottoman Empire was actually pretty competent in ww1 especially compared to Italy or Russia
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ottoman_Empire_in_World_War_I (yeah...)
@@notgurkelieno It took Ottomans the whole war to actually collapse, even though all its fronts except the western one was on fire the whole time. Ottomans even had huge coastline to defend on all 3 seas (black sea, mediterranean sea, red sea). The whole thing literally tear itself apart just to stay on the fight. Hell, they didn't surrender even after completely collapsing into a civil war and all its former allies peacing out, they kept fighting until 1923 and only after getting an acceptable peace deal they've finally called it off. France and Germany may have lost a generation or two but Ottomans basically went back to stoneage after constant warfare and disasters over 11 years (1912-1923), AND THEY STILL DIDNT CHANGE SIDES UNLIKE THE ITALIANS.
@@notgurkelieno en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallipoli_campaign
This was one of the largest and most decisive victories in all of ww1 and was a defeat so large for the Entente that you can see (avenge for gallipoli) in both the Australian and New Zealand focuses in base hoi4.
I don't even know what in that article makes you think the Ottoman army was that bad. They fought against the British and Arabs in open terrain and partially against the Russians and far exceeded expectations. For a nation that had been on the decline for 300 years, slowly falling back in almost fully open terrrain against 2 of the largest empires in the world is pretty impressive.
@@prohacker5086 as a Turk I'm very proud of my country but you made one mistake the ottomans did peace out and were based in Istanbul the provisorian government of Ankara didn't peace out and fought the Russians send the weapons the ottomans fled after the fall of Konstantiniyye to Uk where the family of the sultan currently lives ngl currently its just a waiting game for us to get more land if Syria and Iraq both collapse we get the northern sections as stated in the peace treaty of Lausanne like in the peace treaty made between the ottoman empire and the provisorian government of Ankara same for cyprus, greece and bulgaria
Edit: My bad it wasn't a peace treaty its a National Oath/ National Pact and these lands are still core territory (West Thrace, parts of southern Bulgaria, Northern Syria and Iraq and also Armenia and Batumi from Georgia

I remember playing as the Toman Empire and the most difficult thing of all is always to beat the Balkan War. In the first year I always take a defensive war that allows me to wear down the enemy as well as time and experience points to modernize my army and after that I take the initiative by taking Serbia, then Greece, Bulgaria and finally Montenegro. It's difficult and I achieved it once, it would be nice if they added a reward bonus for achieving something difficult with such a weak empire in the future, similar to when we beat Italy
Relateable man... relateable
Very good video! Glad I was here before 9k views. You will blow up. Trust me.
subbed, keep pumping them videos out
1:00 Turkish players always prepare for that even on the very first try XD
Ah yes the resurgence of the cured man of eroupe🇹🇷 🗿👌😎👍
Nice video. It's funny that in this timeline there are Germans who migrated to Anatolia and not the other way around
I once did playthrough as bulgaria in kaiserredux, it was hell for me so i know how micro intensive first balkan war was for you. Some people might say that bulgaria in kx is easy but for me it was challenge
Ottoman army was pretty competent for a nation that just lost Libyan and Balkan wars. They lacked the production, logistics and population and still stood up until the end.
Great Video. Keep up the good work!
i should try to play WWI it looks interesting
„What if the Ottoman Empire was competent“ starts with a cv in a couple of months😂
Well they claimed to be the successor of Rome so recovering after a major civil war is common practice
Hi. I dunno if you want, but maybe try to commentate your videos to add another layer of entertainment to the video.
hi, maybe in the future (:
Actually I liked it this way too the music made it so cinematic 😂
I never Play the ottomans because of the army of a bygone era trait. That minus 40% attack and defense is crippling
Facts
you would love the eight years war of resistance mod
You’re supposed to start off with the army focus tree to start removing army of a bygone era. Going with the political branch just gives more debuffs. You’re also supposed to increase the strength of the yildiz teskilati to avoid the civil war
I had like 85% and but the civil war still triggered, but everything worked.
@@notgurkelieno unlucky
i love turkey i wish it was real
What if?
First time seeing a playthrough of ottoman empire without Atatürk😅😅
haha
ah yes the great war in 1916
Lore of what if the Ottoman Empire was competent momentum 100
The mod accurately shows how much Bulgaria did in kicking the turks out of balkans. In first balkan war Bulgaria alone contributed to 60 percent for the victory and the rest is like divided between greece and serbia
as a turk i personally think serbia and greece pulled a uncool move to bulgarians in second balkan wat
@@kvancknk2867 Yes we have a saying in Bulgaria " Komshii kradci" meaning neighbours traitors. Serbia and Greeve are biggest enemies of Bulgaria
@@kvancknk2867 you forgot Romania which invaded Bulgaria out of nowhere and it was the reason why Bulgaria lost.
Yeah, in a 1 on 1, without Greece and Serbia being massive distraction, Bulgaria would have returned into being a province.
nice video
This video made me tear up, I wish this empire was competent irl
