Lyrics
we’re separated by a margin of a greater degree
the same flesh and blood but in a different lane
i read the remedy too but my words, they still sounded the same
when we were young
we thought we had the whole world figured out
now all we do is speak in tongues
we play a losing game
only now we hear the shouts fading out
we flew into the sun
i’m dedicated to the shadow that’s been following me
it caught me counting the cards
i guess the rules remain
oh it was heavenly then
but the devils were calling my name
is there something in your eye?
did you fall or were you just on a high?
everybody’s so afraid they could die
but they never once said
thank god we’re alive

I noticed that this video is visually pleasing and balanced because the vocalist continuously turns facing the camera even when the rest of the band don't. Interesting.
Right? I was thinking that too lol He's very in tune with the camera and definitely takes the video to another level!
Didn't think about that until you said that, but its true. It's a nice and simple addition to the live-performance music video.
One take videos aren't very easy to pull off at all. It only takes one little slip up and there goes the whole thing since it's literally just one continuous shot without any pauses or jump cuts. Nothing but pure talent coming from these guys. Flawless Victory...
AND he rotated enough one or two ways, then reversed, all while facing the whole time (so the XLR cable didn't get twisted around the stand too much)
LEGIT
Woah I didn't even notice that. Damn that's sick.
Good to see the drummer be more transparent about his playing
🤣

I was just released from the hospital after struggling for 22 days from a stage 5 liver laceration (20% survival rate) I spent the whole time just being grateful to have survived. I was so happy to get released but I still have a long road ahead. This release has really helped lift my spirit, I wasn't able to listen to any music in the hospital so this is truly a gift on the day of my release.
I haven't suffered near as much as that, but I have been hospitalized for weeks at a time. This song fucking rips. Hospitality by Funeral For A Friend and also Accidents by Alexisonfire have helped me reflect on that trauma and time spent alone in the hospital. I'm glad you made it out on this side, friend.
Glad to have u here with us..cheers..I wish u a speedy recovery

Hope you get well soon mate. 🙂
_"everybody's so afraid they could die, but they never once say thank god we're alive"_ makes me choke up every time i hear it
reminds me of SLT - Glory
Yes we should all be more grateful
I always interpreted that line as meaning no one is glad they're alive because life sucks, so it's ironic that we're afraid of death, rather than implying that we should be thankful for being alive... oops.
@@sociallyanxiousemo2962 i think this is more accurate reading full lyrics
Architects are one of the few bands that never left the f**king pocket. They've been in a permanent groove and done both the heavy and melodic masterfully.
N'fLaymz has entered the cha... nevermind!
reminds me of SLT - Glory!
The breakdown , that doesn’t really breakdown is the coolest thing I’ve heard in forever. What a banger.
It's got grooves for days. Love that it leaves space to breathe and doesn't just include a breakdown we've heard 100+ times before!
If you liked this you’d love Beartooth. The whole song I was thinking “so this is what Beartooth would sound like with Sam Carter on vox.”
Thanks lord 🤘🏻😭
It's my favourite Beartooth song that Beartooth never wrote
@@battmarn lmao I thought the same thing on first listen.
WELL DAMN! This seems like the right mix between their newer and past post hardcore style. LOOVE THE ENERGY!
They didn't used to be post hardcore they used to be good lmaoo
@@tillerphil4769 The Here and Now is definitely post hardcore
@@christianmvalencia an amazing, overlooked, album.
@@tillerphil4769 ☠
@@tillerphil4769 wdym FTWWTE was amazing.
I LOVE how simple this video is. The smooth rotating camera is so hypnotic it feels like a real show and because of that, there is nowhere to hide. I see everything you guys are doing and it's a great watch to go with the song.
Fr
Dan Searle 🔥
man i fucking love this band.
i remember Rise Against had a song named 'Architects', with the line 'and don't you remember when we were young?".
it might just be a coincidence, but on the b-side of Daybreaker Architects named a song 'Rise Against', so... who knows? new track is awesome either way.
Don't think this one is related haha
They also toured together during the endgame/daybreaker era :)
I could be wrong but I heard somewhere that they planned that to mess with people
Both of that bands are Amazing!
I mean Architecs opened for Rise Against back in the day. I think it was after The Here and Now where the were touring Europe: Rise Against, Architects, Touché Amoré
That is really a dope ass coincidence lmao.
i was not expecting this! 2022 has been really hard for me, but hearing new architects makes me feel so much better
Hope it gets easier my G. ❤️
Be strong my guy
Stay strong. 💪🏻❤️
Chin up, fren. You're not alone.
It's been hard for me too bro. Blessings to you.
Architects simply don’t miss.
The vocals with that tiny pinch of Rou Reynolds style is beautiful
Architects delivering pure gold once again
Not gonna lie, the two step stomp Sam does at the beginning was epically on tempo. The exact time as the snare hits 2x in a row
I mean, it's almost like he's heard the song before and knows the drum part! 🤣
It almost looks like he is a musician 😅
Its almost like he's in the band
🤣 keep it going!!
Its so pleasing
I swear Architects singles and albums drop right when I need them the most. I hope they continue to be the soundtracks that accompany my life for many years to come - especially when they go this hard!
Definitely a good crossover of Old BMTH and The Ghost Inside 🔥👊🏻
Josh is one of the true riff masters of current metal. He really knows how to mix 80s & 90s metal with modern metal very well. Whether its Architects or Sylosis he absolutely demolishes.
Sylosis tho 🤘
Josh is a living God! 🎩
Riff god!! Hands down
We need more Sylosis
Sylosis is some of the finest modern metal out there! They should be so much bigger!!!
I love this fucking song. Every single day. Architects are the definition of perfect music.
I love how, Sam, keeps on facing the camera every spin.
reminds me of SLT - Glory 👍👍👍!!!!!!
What gets me is how well they follow the camera. Fluid as liquid. Addressing the " audience " without a studder through the whole damn song
ARCHITECTS IS KING!
Im 50yrs old and what I enjoy is the lyrical content. Music that has meaning, has a reason and purpose with graet music to back it up.
reminds me of SLT - Glory!
*Great
I love this band. Every album and every progression. These guys and Northlane I never stop supporting.
Northlane is fucking fire! I always will love Architects, and their last album was okay, and this song is cool, but Tom was so essential to their writing process. It's the missing piece right now in my opinion... I guess what I would consider the lead guitar parts he used to do. Just so unfortunate.

Two titans
Fuck northlane. After the show the lead singer he tried to invite my babymamma on his bus. 🤣
I so love Northlane- their new record is out
Josh is one hell of guitarplayer and songwriter.
reminds me of SLT - Glory 👍👍
and now he's gone. yay.
Life is better when Josh Middleton plays anything.... #truth.
That intro is so badass let's go architects are quickly becoming one of my go to bands this shit rocks headbang central right here keep rocking guys
Just heard the song on FH5, such a banger. Haven't listened to Architects since I was in middle school lol.
I was happy this song was in FH5
@@PinkRaccoon0-p2w yea same
Their drummer is on point !
To be brutally honest I started and grew up from lost forever lost together fell in love with All our gods and cherished holy hell and the change to what was FTWWTE just Captivated me even though it was not as heavy as the others to experience this it’s amazing this band is welling to change and experiment the best they can and I’m here for it
I personally didn't like their new album, but very happy they're still succeeding 😁
The Abbey Road version of their latest album is so much better than the original I thinks.
thank you youtube for finally recommending me something good
I never imagined at 33 yrs old I'd have to come to terms with the fact that I was abused my whole upbringing by my parents and my church. But here I am. Songs like this one... you guys understand me and make me feel seen. You help me cry out my angry tears and promise myself to do better for myself going forward. Thank you.
That double stomp at 0:30 gets me every time
Epic
Straight fuckin'🔥
yes that is a bad ass riff Id be double stompin too
it does - same as in BMTH's Shadow Moses, love that
Architects just making bangers as usual
I hope this one comes with a reaction video!

wow this band is a shot of adrenalin to the heart.
I'm finally seeing it live in 6 days
I really love this band's direction.
Just heard this on the radio in Forza horizon 5 and it's now my favorite song it's ridiculously good sounding
They have soo much amazing music. I hope you enjoy the other stuff they have to offer. XOXOXO
Architects R sick fam
Heck yeah
What the fuck, when was this song added? I've been playing since its release and never heard of it

I love how Sam is always turning to face the camera its beautiful
so this is the new generation of dad rock who would of thought
Your dad's got awesome taste then!
One of the Metal Song I Wish I Wrote!❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
The punk influence coming through heavy in those verses. This is sick.
well yeah, thats metalcore literally
Bruh go listen to stick to your guns 😒
Totally. If Sam’s voice wasn’t so iconic, you could’ve told me this was a Beartooth song and I’d believe you 100%.
@@theshevanel dude Caleb has a unique voice wym
@@mexicoulm2975 I didn’t say anything about Caleb’s voice? My comment wasn’t about the vocals at all. I was simply saying the song sounds like it could easily be a Beartooth song.
This song is banger!! Architects never disappoints, even the latest experimental album was amazingly good, I love Architects so much! Tom is very proud of you guys 💙
My favorite band, never disappoints... ARCHITECTS IS LIT
Architects just make me cry
Architects will ALWAYS be Architects
Ridiculous production quality, the best of the best! Love the way this was filmed too! Love you Architects bois
Incredible!!!
Those drums!!!
When I close my eyes the tears roll..beautiful song!!
Incredible! Just Incredible
I'm already addicted to this song, I love them so much
0:29 this gesture is the best!!, so you realize, how deep is his feeling to rock!
Honestly I love it when Adam bangs his head, he puts his whole body into it🤘
reminds me of SLT - Glory 👍
Love that they're not afraid to experiment with their sound, it's so good to hear and see. Sam and Dan keep on doing Sam and Dan things, absolute killer tune
I love this track. More timeless Architects music to get me through the hard times.
Only thing that’s gonna keep me afloat for now, hopefully the hard times don’t last much longer for any of us. Rock out my friend 🤙🏾
Gotta love when a world class band drops a banger on a random Wednesday.
Crazy team ever! The band, the engineering...!!! I can't believe...!!!! woooooaaaaahhhhh...!!!
Thank God we're alive!
i love the steady pacing of this style it has the linkin park vibe with dance tempo, the intro to chorus is powerful and gives me goosebumps!!! LOVE IT!
That chorus intro is so full and energized. My god it hits every time.

My favourite band since I heard them first time almost a year ago while driving with my son down to cologne buying a new drumset for him ...
Great stuff and meanwhile on same levels for me old man as Iron Maiden and Judas Priest Metal Maniacs.
Thank you guys for this great new stuff again. Love it 🤘😎👍🏻
For those that wish to exists and are still young now matter how old they are.
Please continue that well.
Can't wait for new album from you.
Turned 50 last year and i just love this song and those guys. I’m jumping around in my livingroom acting crazy as fuck to this song while my wife is shaking her head and don’t get it - but i guess you do 😎👍🤘
let's just appreciate Dan's Drumming masterpiece, I won't say anything about rest members because they are DEMIGODS
Nothing will ever top all our gods have abandoned us.
Thats good shit 🤘😎
Punk on!
This is the perfect balance of the good old days when they were heavy and their most recent stuff. Digging this, it's pretty good. Also, the way this video was shoot was sick.

Thank you FH5 for showing me this song
Architects are still the kings🎸🤘🔥
This feels like a step back. Simple
THEY
NEVER

reminds me of SLT - Glory 👍👍👍
This music is just a level above what a "good" band puts out. Can't explain it, always something interesting going on in the track.
This is how you evolve. Love this band so much. They just keep getting better.
Evolve into styg 🤣
Evolve? You mean downgrade
omg, Zakk Cervini is such a monster mixing, look at this quality and heavyness. This is creating its own gravitational field.
Waaaa! Brutal video!
Been listening since 2007, and it's so wild to me that this band has come this far. I'm sensing a bit of influence from BMTH's progression as artists, as well.
Yawn 😩 how on earth did you notice that? 😂
@@danielsimpson3808 what?
Deftones influenced more likely. Sam wrote a huge essay about Deftones and White Pony being a huge influence on him, giving him the confidence to not be afraid of branching out into different sounds even though it may alienate fans. Honestly I see a lot of that with Deftones influenced bands, not being afraid to push the sound into different directions (Loathe, Spiritbox, Sleep Token, Every time I die, etc)
Was not expecting this!! Holy cow the chorus is catchy and riff is so groovy, production is 10/10! Love it guys!!
Yeah can‘t wait for what we get next!
Bruh seeing you fuckin everywhere xD
Rowan? Wtf are you doing as a top comment?

@@Glintingbeetle You again!!! Reaction coming… hopefully tomorrow. Got Veil Of Maya to tackle too.
@@jasonlovesmusicreacting882 Yeah Veil of Maya is a banger and then Architects with a surprise drop on the same day 😃
Sam is so fking dynamic. Takes me back to the hardcore punk-ish days, while actually having incredible meaning, with some thrashy vibes mixed in as well. Love this band.
reminds me of SLT - Glory 👍👍
This is honestly just my favourite video of Dan. His energy is just amazing
Love Dan's kit.
It's very strong and beautiful music! Thank you Architects!!!
That opening riffs will be a blueprint for metalcore bands on 2023
True. They (along with Bring Me the Horizon) are def the most ripped off bands in metalcore lol
@@atomicpunk2360 its really refreshing to see them distance themselves from the Architects riffs. This new one really breath a fresh air
@@atomicpunk2360 good thing neither of them play metalcore anymore so that'll be over with lol

That breakdown is so simple and yet SOOOOOOOOO groovy!
Let's Get It
Love it, guys!
It seems that you are enjoying everything you do right now. THANK YOU!!!
One band I haven't seen but I will!!!! Killer song killer band!
This song is like, when i close my eyes, i thought it’s one of Stick to Your Guns’ songs. It’s not bad at all. Loving the hardcore vibes. It’s like something fresh coming out from them in a while
I swear your the only one who understood it sounds exactly like STYG
Finally someone with same-minded haha. It’s weird that nobody realise about it
Sam’s stomps at 00:31 are so god damn spot on I love it. It really is the simple things
It is my favourite thing in this song !! Simple but so good!
reminds me of SLT - Glory 👍👍👍!!!!
They have such a huge asset in having Josh Middleton in the band. Riff king
this band is without a doubt one of the best
the lyrics of this track are sick of good
see you in brazil!
I love this band. High quality!
It's impossible not to hear a little bit of Down With the Sickness in the intro/post-chorus riff, really good stuff.
This band deserves so much more recognition. Like performance at the Grammy's kind of recognition.
Say it with me : ARCHITECTS WILL ALWAYS DELIVER !!
They rock...So underrated.
reminds me of SLT - Glory 👍👍
Still the best metalcore band in the world. Never stop making music ❤️
Honestly so great to listen to and so fun to play on guitar and drums. Future of architects is looking class
This is fire
Band does not miss.
That beat drop and guitar riff at 02:19 is sick as hell
Been here since Hollow Crown and the consistency, quality and progression of this band is arguably unrivalled from there generation.
They're the perfect example of the positive evolution of a band. They've really solidified and fine tuned their sound and the compositions so well. This stays on repeat in my car. That fat groove is immaculate. Excellent balance of melody, harmonies and pulverizing riffage. The drums sound like what King Kong looks like. And this songs meaning is spot on! Sadly it will go over many people heads.
Yes, Architects...people are selfish and ungrateful. But us fans are so thankful that we have the Architects 🤘
Now this song and Circle With Me are my favourite songs
YOOOOO!!!!! Found this on an ad switching through videos, just looking through random news. I’m so happy you guys are still making new content, this goes so heavy 😭❤️ Thank you for the morning headbang!
