    I had the opportunity to play B2B with a friend t a club this weekend, my first experience in a club, the jump from my Traktor S4 to a XDJ3000 was massive! I managed to get my transitions right, but the club gear had me overwhelmed and feeling nervous, but I stuck to the basics and it worked well. I loved the experience, and needless to say, I want more, I'm hooked! Thanks for all the lessons Andrew, they helped.

    Ive been a die-hard fan of electronic music for over a decade now and I've always been an aux-stealing monster at parties. A few weeks ago the bug finally bit me to start learning to DJ and it's been so much fun soaking up every little piece of info I can find about how to properly build a library, mix, and bring joy to people on the dance floor. Between DJ Carlo, Crossfader, Phil Harris, Chris M, etc. (and so many more I havent even found yet), TH-cam has SO much good educational dj content out there. With that being said, Andrew's experience and infectious energy convinced me to pull the trigger on his courses last night.
    I binged the first two weeks worth of courses and this man has EVERY RIGHT to be pushing his class. He's covered every intricacy of the mixing process that I've been scratching my head about that NOONE has been addressing in the TH-cam videos ive been leaning with so far. Maybe it's been a case of "you don't know what you don't know," but everything is so eloquently (and quickly) laid out: how to prepare, what to practice, how to practice, how to mix for different genres, and more. The way he couches everything in terms of "this is what it will be like in clubs" is such great perspective and it feels good to start this DJing venture (and I don't necessarily have insane DJ ambitions per-se, I just want to be able to have the skill if the opportunity arises) by learning how to do things the RIGHT way.
    I haven't dipped into the next weeks or the advanced classes yet, but if this is how specific the basic stuff is, I know I have so much to look forward to in the more advanced classes.
    Worth every penny my fellow DJ-hopefuls!

    It's taken me a year of warming up in my ddj400 here in Melbs during lockdown.
    I've finally subbed today, and really keen to get the upskilling I need!
    Your vids have always been helpful and really did get me into the swing of things. Thanks heaps for your efforts mate, you've done great!
    Now to get good enough to play some DnB in a club with confidence 🤣🤙🏼🔥

    Andrew i have been anxious and wanting to see you rocking out on vinyl! You should even if it would only be a 15-20min mix. 👍👍😀you should put out a poll cause i know i am not the only one who would want to see that!
    You have an incredible way of speaking with you audience, always positive and energetic vibes.
    Vinyl and turntables are making a huge comeback over past couple of years. Like you and many others i came up with vinyl decks in the clubs in the 90s and before! While most have adopted/adjusted to digital, there are still many of us who still use vinyl or are vinyl only.
    Bringing back vinyl decks as options in the clubs/raves/festivals is one of the things i will be striving to do. I understand it may not be ideal bringing your own gear along with your vinyl bag/crate, but for me it is worth it every single time!
    Cheers and thank you andrew 🍻🥂☕️🙏love the content and keep up the great work!

    How do u transition from say house to a rock song. I use the eq and it always sounds busy. Please help. I don't want to always echo out with back spin, would love to be able to blend it better.

    • @ClubReadyDJSchool
      @ClubReadyDJSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is tricky - I'd personally use an acapella - this way I cna play rock anthems whilst keeping that dance beat as I find the people into rock may not be into house and vice versa, but I guess you can always fade - crowd cares more about track selection than transitions that may sound strange as rock and house couldn't more more different haha ;)

    Hi there Andrew, love your vids, great teaching, I started with vinyl then move'd to cmx-3000 in early 2000's, never mixed with visuals, was looking at the cdj- 3000 but oof, what a price tag, would the cdj previous to 3000 be a good buy for an upgrade?

    • @ClubReadyDJSchool
      @ClubReadyDJSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the 2000's are a good choice, otherwise if you are willing to lose the hot cues the CDJ 900NXS are also cool, otherwise maybe the XDJ1000's!! So many choices and that's only Pioneer!!
