Why do I need to wash it when I am going to cut the skin off anyway?
Because you're gonna be touching the skin as u hold it, and then touch the fruit as u hold it, therefore spreading the bacteria or at least the dirt on the fruit. Think about a dirty potato. If you don't wash it either before or after u cut off the skin you're gonna have dirt fries
