My Nintendog, Yoshi, was very good at doing the tricks, he always did the tricks and could hold them. Then, when he went to the open class, he completely forgot how to do tricks. I got very mad.

I also played Nintendogs. I don't know that, Nintendogs sucks or i sucks at Nintendogs. The dog always waits for that flying disc to fall on the ground rather than catching in the air. They often get raged or walk away.
Training definitely takes some time! Start with shorter throws and let your dog get comfortable with those and slowly increase the distance as you train and do more competitions with them!

bro, everytime i tell the dog its name through the microphone it tells me to do it again even tho the dog heard me
You have to do it a handful of times before the dog fully learns its name!
@@giangeegibb it’s told me it heard me, i’ve done it around 20 times. it is on a cartridge, maybe that’s why.
@@rubywoolrich Hm, have you officially named the dog yet? You might just need to keep doing it consistently if you haven’t. But if you have, just keep calling the dog over so that it learns its name, and make sure you pet it and stuff whenever it comes to you too!
@@giangeegibb it’s my first time playing it, i called its name as it asked me too and it said that my dog heard me, and then told me to do it again. i did it again, and again and again. it just kept saying to do it again basically, but i will try again tomorrow and update you :) thankyou

My son is trying to play this on a ds and the dog just keeps forgetting his name? Any one have an clues?
Hi! Is he naming the dog for the first time? If so, make sure he’s saying the name with the same intonation every time!
@@giangeegibb does it automatically pick up on the mic or is there a button he is supposed to be pushing? I tried it as well and after it said he learned his name, I kept petting it and calling it’s name over and over and still it eventually just said he forgot his name!
@@Tjk317 Hmmm strange, you should be tapping the button with the stylus on screen but otherwise it should be recording automatically. When you speak, is the dog reacting positively at all or are you only getting question marks when you talk into the microphone? When you speak does the audio bubble next to the dog turn yellow?
@@giangeegibb so when first naming the dog it gives the option to press the button and say it’s name. A lightbulb (I think) appears above the dogs head. Then after like 8 times of doing that it will say he learned it. It will then give a prompt saying did he hear you? Keep saying the dogs name and pet him when he responds. I’ll say it’s name over and over. It never give anything else above its head. It does bark sometimes but I’m not sure if that is a reaction to calling it’s name. Then after a few minutes of that it will just forget its name and we have to restart the naming process!
@@Tjk317 That’s a good sign that you’re getting the lightbulb, that means it’s not a microphone problem. So you’re able to name the dog but once you finish that process it’s forgetting?
I have a problem. My dog won't learn his name, no matter what I do. I don't know what to do, I have been trying for hours.
Oh no! Are you playing on a DS or on an emulator? If it’s a DS make sure you say the name the same way as closely as you can every time, and do a microphone test before to make sure everything is okay there! Best of luck, I hope that helps!
@giangeegibb I'm using a DS. But I know that he can hear me cuz he comes every time I call him. But after a while, it says that the dog forgot the name and I have to do everything again.

Nintendogs is controlled completely with the touch screen! You can use the stylus to press any menu options on the bottom screen! :)
