Hi Bruce, I got them as review units and have been using them ever since, about 1year now. I find them to work well, they seem to remain connected to Wifi and reliable, I have mine all indoor and facing outside, but I know they are IP rated for outdoor use. Proving you Wifi signal is decent, they are a good option in my books.

Have never tried to use PC for monitoring, just mobile. Can't define detection area as far as i'm aware.
