Attaching the doorbell to the mount is a little difficult but once it locks into place it seems extremely sturdy. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxxHZwMa8CsRjYhf9s4W8w0Dwm47uytWOp I replaced my regular doorbell with this and hard wired it in, using my existing wires and mechanical chime. It works perfect so far and integrates perfectly with my blink camera system. It also works seamlessly with Alexa
Thank you so much. This morning I could not view the clip recording. When I clicked on the blink app, the bottom section was gone! So I googled it 🤷🏼♀️. Than TH-cam and yours was the first video. I unplugged wall unit and restarted my phone and all is fixed. You are a lifesaver 💯
Good summary. My multi camera XT & XT2 system has been in service for more than 2 years now. Very pleased with it. Added bonus is it forced me to optimize my WIFI. All good!
how do I get my app to show the videos like yours does. All mine does is show a screen with a arrow and you click the arrow to show the camera. I don't like that it does that. Can I change mine to be like yours?

My blink app doesn’t have all those features?! And it doesn’t show live view like yours when I open it. It’s so slow. I have the new 4th generation camera as I just installed. I’m annoyed. By the time I look who is at the door and click to see who is there the video takes so long to load the person is gone.
Nicely done. I’ve had my camera for several years now and actually learned a couple of things. Mine batteries last the longest with Energizer Lithium batteries. They aren’t cheap but well worth it in the long run.
Thank you worked that out now if you don't mind I hate bothering people how do you get the notification and the camera to notify me as soon as there's motion cause by the time I get notified the intruder or any movement are long gone thank you Ps if you need any drywall hints we in oz call it gyprock plastering don't hesitate to ask😜👍
@@dalegrant7015 lol your welcome. There are a lot of options in the settings. Go to settings/motion detection. Be sure to highlight that button that way you are notified immediately. You can also tinker with the motion sensitivity, zones & retrigger time. Now, on the retrigger time the minimum is 10 seconds which is where I have mine set. The problem is that a lot can happen in 10 seconds the camera is off. Lastly, be sure to enable the early notification if you enabled the motion detection.
I love our Blink cameras, but it drives me nuts how they take so long to activate. My wife can pull up, get out of her car, and be coming into the house before I get any notification on the device, and it will record her just stepping out of the driveway through the door instead of her pulling up, getting out, etc. When delivery guys show up, I usually see them walking away, not approaching.
@@mayssm ours is on early detection but still get video alerts 10-15 minutes after the fact, sometimes longer than that. Always lets me know when my husband is outside lol every single movement. I have to disengage. But if he’s at the end of the driveway coming in , it doesn’t inform me till he walks in the door. Ha ha thank goodness it’s not somebody actually breaking in. On the bright side, I don’t have to answer the door to strangers anymore. Click a button and say “ can I help you?” For that it’s worth it’s weight in gold if hubby is gone.
Take into account the worthless alert that is offered in the app. If you've ever heard the RING system alert you would know what I mean. Camera and audio are great, but the notification defeats the purpose of having a security system.
Can you talk about the subscription plan?? I never had my synced module on until recently because the camera started to become disconnected frequently. Now I have it plugged in all the time. Is that right?
I could be mistaken, but didn't the notification alerts take you directly to the clip that it just recorded? I don't want to go to a live camera when I view a clip that happened a min or two ago. I realize that the ▶ button is only one more click away to view the clip, but this is annoying to me... Am I crazy or did this change?

You had the Activity Zones backwards. The area you DO NOT want motion sensing in is the gray area. The colored area is the area that senses motion. At least that is how my cameras work. This works especially good if there are spiders near the edge of the frame. You can keep them from setting off the cameras.
@@moem3595 It seems to work fairly well. I have two cameras on opposite sides of my yard aimed toward each other. At night they each are set off by the other camera's light. If I gray out the area where the camera is it stops them from recording each other. And in the day time I block bushes and trees blowing in the wind and setting off the cameras. The one thing I haven't learned to control is shadows from clouds moving across the yard on sunny days. The cameras detect motion and record.

My camera is not working it says I may have to change my password for my Wi-Fi which I don't want to do. I tried changing the batteries but I don't think that's the issue since I changed the battery last week. I had this camera less than a year.?????
One of the two cameras I have suddenly stopped working. It has a red light blinking sometimes on the motion detection thing. I have changed batteries to new one and reset the module. The other camera works but this one still does not. It sometimes says "Camera is busy" or "Live view failed". Any suggestions?
Yes, I have the same issue. All wifi at max, I re-powered the sync module, and it seems the most crucial camera acts up moreso with "live view failed". Someone help.
I had a brief internet outage this morning. Then it came back. All my other devices are fine. Blink remains offline. The sync module is less than 30cm from the router. There is no logical reason why the SM should not reconnect like everything else. I have power cycled both the SM and the router. Nothing fixes my issue which means my blink system cant do its job. Is there anything I can do? If I reset the SM, does that means I have to re-install all of the camera's?
I really am pleased with my camera EXCEPT I have a hard time getting G the right angle to activate after motion. It's always different. But the visual / audio is super clear. ✌️ 🐯

My issue is the auto I am in need of a better audio. What I mean is someone slammed a vestibule door so loud it woke me up. My camera got it but it sounds muffled so you can't tell how badly it was slammed. Is there a way to make it sound better?
HELP- I just installed a doorbell and a couple outdoor Blink Cams with the Synch module. For the outdoor, all works well. I can click on those cameras to view live. Also, when motion is detected, and I get notified on app, I click on notification snd see the live video minus delay. However, for doorbell. If motion or button press, I see the notification on phone. When I click on it, the circle spins and no video shows. It is recorded and I can watch after, but it doesn’t show live for me to talk. With that said, if I just actively click on that camera from the blink app, I see the live video. Any thoughts? Would unplugging and plugging in synch help?
I have the camera standalone no module. I recently started having problems with the app just continuing to load and wont let me see who is at the door from how long it takes. I would have to get off the wifi re open the app to hopefully get it to work. The blink app doesnt have the camera or video button on the screen like yours does so Im not sure how to see the live view. Btw I dont have a subscription plan either. Do I "Need" the module to even see live view?
Weird question. If in my Blink app I have two clips, and in between those two it did not capture something that happened. Am I able to go somewhere and access that motion?
Numbers of clips does not reset after deleting them. I tought it was due to backups on the memory card but after reformatting it and plug replugging it to the module, it still shows a high number of clips. So cloud has 0 clips, USB flash card has 0 clips but clips nu.ber is still high. Any idea on how to fix this?

Is there a way to schedule different activity zones to be active/inactive at different times of day? I have onstreet parking, during the day when I'm gone I don't want to be notified every time someone comes in or out of the spot in front of my house, or a car dives through the unblocked zone where my car would normally be parked, but at night I want motion around my car to be picked up. Today I just "painted" the parking spot inactive- but more than likely I'll forget to undo it tonight. So it would be great to have that on a schedule.
I bought this camera after the setup I been getting false alert like crazy I move my camera around my house I'm still getting them I say about 30 to 40 when I'm at work it very annoying I'm scared to turn it off but when I'm home like on my day off it doesnt go off. I have servers blink cameras, it does take long it seems to connect when I want to see what’s going on. I just got pan and tilt camera by eufy, it was on sale at Best Buy and that one impresses me. When I connect to it it’s almost instant….
I was hoping you had more of answer to a cronic problem many blink cameras have reported having and I don't believe now after reading a support forum of so many having the same issue and mine was a mini which does not use motion sensor, it uses pixel changes detection which is enabled by the blue running man. The problem is the camer is working but only early evening or night time. I have the RF off because I have plenty of light. I just turned on Live View at 1:00 in the afternoon and I see a clip, just not in the running man mode? It used to do work during the day, then stopped. I would like to know exactly why instead of 20 resets that mostly don't work and ruins your day having to set it up again. If they are not going to be dependable while you are paying for a service, they it's time to find another manufacture or go to hard wired. Everytime I do a search and get an amazon forum link, the response from support never fixes the problem as in this last one told me to turn the IR to auto so it won't interfere during the day, do they just come up with stuff of the top of their head, I have a mini and I don't even the IR on because it's attached to a window out of direct sunlight or it won't work and I have enough external light anyway. At first I was getting video during the day and then it stopped!!!!!

You have the motion zones backward, when the boxes are grey they will not pick up motion. Do I get a free Tee shirt for that?

There's no live 24/7 on these. Have to log into each camera manually which sucks.

I just added a second Blink outdoor floodlight/camera system...but don't know how to name the second system...like the first one is driveway, but didn't have a choice to name the second one. Any tips?

Is there a way to schedule different activity zones to be active/inactive at different times of day? I have onstreet parking, during the day when I'm gone I don't want to be notified every time someone comes in or out of the spot in front of my house, or a car dives through the unblocked zone where my car would normally be parked, but at night I want motion around my car to be picked up. Today I just "painted" the parking spot inactive- but more than likely I'll forget to undo it tonight. So it would be great to have that on a schedule.

I bought this camera after the setup I been getting false alert like crazy I move my camera around my house I'm still getting them I say about 30 to 40 when I'm at work it very annoying I'm scared to turn it off but when I'm home like on my day off it doesnt go off. I call the company to explained they can't figure it out they told me to by another phone I did but still I get so many false alert is there a chance my cameras is being hacked by I think my neighbor and if so what do I do.

How far away will a object or person activate the camera. I have the new outdoor camera and a delivery was made and noticed it didn’t trigger the camera. I went out there myself and gee I had to get within 10ft for it to activate. Seems blink says up to 20-25ft. You have any idea. ? Thk you
That's what my indoor camera does too, so I turned up the sensitivity & at the activity zones I push the advance button.

I just got my system today. Me and my family have been trying for 5 hours to get sound when a notification pops up to no avail. Any chance you can help me with this? PLEASE! Ive called support at least 4 times today and got nothing. Not much point of having it if the notification pops up while Im asleep and cant hear it.

I’m trying to customize the alert sounds from the different motion sensors and doorbell ring… meaning i want to change the sound / ringtone. Is there a way to do that? I’ve looked through my phone settings in settings in the app and I’m not finding anything like that.
My sync module was damaged in a power cut. I bought new system and wanted to use my old cameras but because I used a different email I cant scan the old camera. It says registrered yo a different system. Are these useless now. I tried Blink help but after a week without help I re bought
This is exactly what I was looking for, thanks. Just one Q: instead of plugging the Sync Module 2 into 110V receptacle, I have it plugged into the back of my router' USB port. Is that, ok? So far, I didn't notice any issues.
Is there a way to increase and/or change the alert tone? Can't find anything and what Blink offers is totally worthless. If I'm asleep it very likely I will miss any alert. I have Ring on my front door and it give a loud doorbell ring that is very distinctive you can't miss their alert. Thanks

My time and date is wrong. I cannot figure out how to fix it. I have mine set up with local storage. You would think the time is set by the internet. My clips shot today are showing tomorrows date already. Any ideas?

Great video but I’m still unsure for example if the motion detection was a 30 second clip I wanna see 2 mins before the motion even tho it wasn’t detected how do I choose a specific time to see the camera as motion dosent pick as much as I want to be picked up

I was hoping you had more of answer to a cronic problem many blink cameras have reported having and I don't believe now after reading a support forum of so many having the same issue and mine was a mini which does not use motion sensor, it uses pixel changes detection which is enabled by the blue running man. The problem is the camer is working but only early evening or night time. I have the RF off because I have plenty of light. I just turned on Live View at 1:00 in the afternoon and I see a clip, just not in the running man mode? It used to do work during the day, then stopped. I would like to know exactly why instead of 20 resets that mostly don't work and ruins your day having to set it up again. If they are not going to be dependable while you are paying for a service, they it's time to find another manufacture or go to hard wired. Everytime I do a search and get an amazon forum link, the response from support never fixes the problem as in this last one told me to turn the IR to auto so it won't interfere during the day, do they just come up with stuff of the top of their head, I have a mini and I don't even the IR on because it's attached to a window out of direct sunlight or it won't work and I have enough external light anyway. At first I was getting video during the day and then it stopped!!!!!

Great review! Mine is set up but it picks up too much from wind or bugs on sensitivity settings 6, so I turned down the sensitivity to 5 and it doesn’t record any movement further away anymore 😢any tips?
