On top of the $379! If this was a real review he obviously would tell you that. Can’t trust this guy. He just made his channel worthless.
Beautiful videos, hey can you make a video about u connect display if you have it? Like whats so good and can you watch live security cameras on the UCONNECT display and do you need internet to see the clips on UCONNECT display,
Thank you and Thanks for watching - I don’t have the display, but I do have the protect viewport which is really only for viewing your cameras! If I can get my hands on the connected display I will review for sure!
I have a camera in my garage - but for the garage door opener itself is another video - forget MyQ - they have stopped supporting anything but there own app, search for ratgdo - its a small device that will control and report on everything you garage can do - even how many times its been opened and closed in its lifetime! - Thanks for watching!
I went all in on Unifi. Got the Dream Machine SE, a 48 port POE switch, an NVR, and about a dozen cameras. The good, it's scaleable, has many options for cameras, wifi, and other supported apps, and supports 10Gigabit fiber systems. The downsides are the initial costs and running cat 6 cable. Personally, I prefer cable as it's more reliable and secure. If you're building a new house, definitely make sure you run lots of low voltage wiring. I recommend this path for others, provided you can afford it.
Wow - sounds like a nice setup - I agree run as much cat5/6 cable as you can - but its nice to have wireless options. Setup costs can be a lot, but compared to other systems you can also start small - I recently did a setup with just a cloud gateway max, and one wireless camera - cost about $300 bucks - but they can easily add cameras when they are ready one at a time. - thanks for watching!
I don't think there are any kits, but you can just mix and match to create your own. I find I don't always use all the cameras in the kits anyways - I did a lorex review a while back and the provided camera's were not used for the install I did. My recommendation is to get a Dream Machine pro or SE - geni.us/x8JW - this is your base for network and security, then pick the cameras you need for each location. Most often I use the G5 Flex - geni.us/rivftOo - or the PRO cameras - geni.us/5kRJ08Z - for even higher res. You could even go wireless if you can't get a cat5 cable run to some locations. There is nothing else you need! - anyway, thanks for watching and the feedback - good luck with your install!
Hi, what do you recommend for traveling, like on campers, or in cars, with continuous monitoring. Also, what do the big stores use on there roofs, like Target and Walmart .Thank you.
Really depends - depending on your power situation, I would probably go with some sort of dedicated dashcam type solution - they are made for low power situations - but if you have power - I might even go with unifi, it would make a great setup with starlink, or a mobile data setup. The ones in department stores are most likely dedicated DVRs. - thanks for watching
You don't need internet (you could use it just inside your house) but if you want remote access internet is obviously required. Unifi is my favorite because all the footage is stored in your house locally - so if you do choose to use it without internet - you don't need to do anything special. - hope that answers your questions - thanks for watching!
Depending on the situation, I turn off the IR night vision especially on the smaller Flex cameras - the G5 Bullet Pro does a nice job I find - and compared to some I have used in the past, I find that at least the Unifi have some good adjustment controls that seem to actually make a change in real time - would be great if there was a way to have a day/night profile with custom settings! - thanks for watching, and for the feedback!
Can you share what the temperature ratings for cameras in this system you know of? Live in a climate that is cold. it often stay below -10⁰F and occasionally -40 for about a month in the winter. many battery powered cameras cannot take that cold and shut down, perhaps wired too, I don't have any.
I believe they are rated for -20 based on spec, but I know I have seen at least -25 and never had an issue - I have the G5 pro and a couple flex outside and they have been great - hope that helps - and thanks for watching!
In that case I might look at Google nest - only because they have a number of options and would be really easy to relocate if/when you move somewhere else! - thanks for watching!
How long does the wireless record? Record motion only? I have solar motion cameras that only records via motion for 6-10 seconds but they all have sd cards in them also. Was thinking of going wired with a nvr so it will record all the time
You would get over a year with motion only easily - I have 7 cameras (1-4K, 2-2K, 5-HD) recording all the time and I have 179d 17h 53m worth of recording on a 10TB drive. I don't know of a solar option for unifi, but there is wireless (still requires power) but for me running an ethernet cable for power/data was simple - let me know if you have other questions - and thanks for watching!
@@yoyoTechKnows Wow, ok thanks. Yeah I am in a rural area and the solar cameras I am using alerts me from time to time showing nothing happening. I kinda want something recording all the time.

Which camera can go to 60fps? There is no word about quality of recording of a car driving 70km/h can you see the car reg then? What about during night?
Good questions - I don't know about 60FPS, I believe the high end ones can do this along with license plate identification. I don't know about the speed, I am on a residential street and people better not be going 70km in front of my house, but the quality is very high, both daytime and night. For sure - you can setup all sorts of matrix views - in fact take a look at the viewport amzn.to/4etJUrQ and you can make any monitor into a viewing screen. - if you use home assistant, you can easily setup automations to change the screen based on motion or detections to better see what's happening. - thanks for watching!

@yoyoTech just found this video as i am looking to upgrade my Lorex system that is over 6 years old and the cameras are starting to show signs of age.. Anybody can come over and install it
I am sure you can find someone! I would do it for you if you were local in Toronto! - thanks for watching!
You had me.....until I see it's primarily manufactured in China. A country notorious for adding spyware.
paid by a random unknown security system
I wish - just sharing my thoughts at this point - if somebody pays for it I will let you know 🤣

Hellll no. Wired all the way. Wifi jammers are real
I prefer the wired versions too - but in a pinch the wireless cameras work well and are nice - thanks for watching!
@@yoyoTechKnows My wife keeps bugging me to get some security on my house like the last one... She wants a live camera for the front door when someone rings the bell. BTW it must be non internet(I live in the boonies). And obviously wired with 4k res native. any suggestions would be great! Thanks brother
@@Jason9ll Hey Jason - sorry missed your reply - Unifi is my goto, it has internet capabilities - but it can run all local - that door bell can be wired, or wirless but it does not need internet! - thanks for watching and good luck!
And who exactly is going to jam YOUR wifi to break in? 😂

Are you paid by unify to do the video?
Nope - it’s just what I use - now if they want pay me ;-) - thanks for watching
These cameras are terrible. Life expectancy is very low. I can't believe he is pushing these lol.
I am sure everyone has a different experience - sounds like yours have not been great - I have them installed at over 20 clients sites and never had an issue. For my home I have 6 cameras and only ever had to replace one which was most likely caused by an animal chewing the cable - mine have survived outdoors in -30c weather for multiple years. They are realitivly inexpensive cameras and easy to setup and use. - thanks for sharing your experience and thanks for watching!
Eufy is way beter
For me, I like the integration of the unifi camera and network into one seamless system - but I would like to try out the Eufy solar/wireless cameras as I think that is a cool looking product. - thanks for watching
The Dream Router is garbage. It can't handle a 1 gig internet connection.
That's an interesting point, not sure if I would call it garbage just on that, you need a Dream Machine pro max, or SE just to get 2.5G RJ45. But considering many home users are getting internet connections greater than 1GIG now a days it starts to be something to think about. - thanks for sharing and for watching!
@@yoyoTechKnows I went through it when I setup with Unifi. I went with a used Dream Machine instead. It gets the job done and can handle a gig down no problem.
This is not a good review it's an advertisement, garbage review

LOL! I wish - I use the unifi products at home, and for clients - but they have never sent me anything!
You talk too much,
WIFI cameras are garbage.
