The video Ken did of the lone "Stinklet" was outstanding!! I can't believe how close the little 'stinker' got to him.....amazing! Loved seeing all the beautiful crafts you lovely ladies are working on, lots of gorgeous colors and textures ---- so much eye-candy 😊 I just CO the Lupini Bean block this morning and am enjoying double-knitting them on my loom so much! It's such fun seeing everyone's beautiful work in the Ravelry group ❤ Thanks a million for the beautiful patterns!
Simone, that sweater will look FABULOUS with your coloring! Betsy, your color selection is exquisite. Leaving out the bright pink was the right decision. And I can't wait for your wallflowers to be done, Kim!
How wonderful, those little rascals are so darn cute. The colour of Simone’s sweater is gorgeous,I am sure a convert to brighter colours is coming,at least splashes of them. The blanket is beautiful, you’re almost done Kim,can’t wait for the finale. Betsy is just a motoring on the self patterned sweater, wow!
Thank you for watching and commenting! For the blanket - yes I can feel the finish is coming. It gives me another little boost of motivation to keep going!
Loved the podcast. The little stinklet was the star of the show! Enjoyed all your projects. Makes me wish I had eight hands so I could tackle more of them.
Lovely episode, I love all your different projects/crafts/dare... The Garfield Grizly is so so tempting, I just need to knit faster to get more space for new yarn. Betsy, PetiteKnit has a lovely V neck sweater : "Cumulus Blouse". It is very easy to knit, easy to understand also. Gauge: 18 stitches and 26 rows = 4 inches She also has the "Cumulus Tee" pattern, elbow lenght sleeves in lightfingering. That would be a bit longer to knit though because of the gauge: 28 stitches and 40 rows = 4 inches. The stinklet are so so cute thanks to Ken for this video, close-up were great !!! Good they are not mature yet !!!
The footage of the close encounter with the little skunk was wonderful. Thank you for sharing. And of course thank you for sharing all your crafting wisdom, triumphs and 'learning experiences'.
Kim, I really like your crochet blanket. I’m trying to decide if it would be too heavy to use in Florida. I’m going to have to look through projects to see if I can find one in blues. Simone, I can’t believe the pink sweater is for you. It will be lovely on you. Becky, your finishing on the crochet flowers is exquisite. Great Agapanthus story. Deborah in Florida. Wow. That stinklet is fearless!
The course helps you choose the colours. You can make what ever combination you want and Rowan Felted Tweed has lots of blues, so you can definitely make one with blues!
In every podcast I keep looking at those 3 orange or peach balls of yarn on the rack behind you between Kim's and Betsy's heads. What yarn is that and what color? It's gorgeous.
Simone, if you don't want to mess with wax, you can use a flour paste for a resist. Pancake consistency, just paint it on your fabric and let it dry. Crackle it up, and dye the fabric. When I did it, I drew into the resist to male the picture I wanted. Have fun!
Simone was gifted the Batik she is using. Now that you have given some different ideas how to make it, I wouldn't be surprised if she would try it sometime!
For the person who keeps losing her place in the pattern, she can put the pattern in Knit Companion, charts lines can be highlighted so it's easy to follow.
Wonderful podcast today. Love all your projects, particularly the colour of Simone's top. The baby skunk was lovely to see. Ken is amazing to crawl around in order to film it. Thank you. 🇬🇧
I just wrote a comment but it looks as if it’s gone. I hope this isn’t a duplicate: Love Simone’s “new color” - it will be beautiful on her. Love the skunks; how adorable. Can’t wait to tackle the lobstah!
❤❤❤❤ This podcast gets richer, deeper, and more awe-inspiring as time goes by! You need a stand up cardboard Richard in the background as he is so gifted. Stinklets no less. I love your courage in trying to recreate sweaters, designing patterns, and saturating all of it with your native land. And your humility and humor is priceless!!!
I always love watching the three of you. So much fun, information, and inspiration. Betsy mentioned that she might want to explore v-neck patterns, and I can’t help myself but to list a few that are in my favourites ... I am currently in a KAL with Legacy Lane doing the Rock It Tee by Tanis Lavallee. I am about to cast on. Other dream knits with v necks are: Cumulus Tee by PetiteKnit Flex by Heidi Kirrmaier Edie by Isabell Kraemer Then there are some Henley ones on my dream list: Henley Tee and Old River Road both by Kay Hopkins. Never enough time to complete all the knits on my dream list!!
Two days last week we have had a skunk rooting around in a future flower bed by our front door when we were going on morning walks. It was so pretty; its white stripe was almost solid white head to tail. Then one morning 2 skunks were in the front yard down near the road. And we met Bambi near the end of a walk. Mommy deer saw us and went off the road into a field on the opposite side of the road. Baby deer still had spots and wasn't old enough to be afraid. It wobbled on knock-kneed legs right up to us 😍. It was soooooo hard to resist the urge to pet it, but we didn't know if Mommy deer would reject Baby if she smelled our scent.
Welll...actually baby skunks will spray, ask me how I know! My brother and I were told they wouldn't, and one sprayed my brother in the face when he picked it up- resulting in a trip to the ER. So if frightened they definitely can, even when they're tiny!!
Oh my... Well we haven't been brave enough to actually pick one up! We read that you were more or less safe until they were about three months old. In any case, we won't take any chances! LOL
Another wonderful video ladies. Congratulations on 150 podcasts. You always make me want to do, to try something new. In addition to all the beautiful projects you talked about, the beaded earrings that Simone is wearing are lovely. Are they hand crafted? Thank you once again. ❤
Simone, I got a small EPP kit from a local sewing business. Falling down another rabbit hole. 😂 Where do you get your supplies? (Or do you cut out your own)
Yay! I think you will love EPP! I’ve been cutting my own and have a nice little bag of fabrics to work my way through. So many fun things to do and not enough hours in the day 😆
@@sandandskycreations6263 Not enough time for sure, haha! Stupid question, but when you sew them together, you are not sewing through the cardboard? Do you use glue?
Enjoyed watching you ladies as usual....but am wondering what happened to Simone's Rioux pattern by Jennifer Beale? I don't think I ever saw it finished? I was looking forward to see it finished....but no pressure Simone!! 😉😉
Oh dear. At least these guys are in an old shed. They aren't really destroying anything, but that did excavate a den under the dirt floor that is under the rabbit hutch. (Hutch is self contained, so no risk for the bunnies.)
Thanks Kim, Betsy and Simone. You are a delight. I sure enjoyed Ken's camera skills with the Harmony section. Those babies are cute.
Thank you so much!
What a fun episode. Hats off to Ken and his filming (brave man) and thumbs up for “procrastacrafting” a mainstay in my life!
Thanks, Dawn!

OMG, Ken-best video ever! And great music choice, Kim!
Thanks!
Great episode. Live the energy the 3 of you have together n share with all of us. 😊
Thank you. We are all great friends. It makes it a joy to work together.
That baby skunk!! oh my goodness! 😍
I know! Right?
Great podcast! Lots of fun! The stinklet was adorable. Thanks to Ken for crawling around to capture video of the cutie!!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks from all of us Kim!
Thanks for another lovely episode! I can't wait to see the next blanket square! Summer is going way too fast!
It is going crazy fast! Thanks for watching Cynthia!

🦨 cute! Love the blanket……..now to get back to crochet (it been a long time)……..so little time 😊
Isn't that the truth - so little time!
Awe, that was a wonderful harmony part, I love skunks. It was great when that baby came right up to the camera and said ut oh gotta go😂
I know! I couldn't believe that Ken could stay still to get that shot!
Awe, what cutie at the end. Thanks for sharing. Also, another lovely podcast. Thanks ladies.

That is Rowan Tweed Haze Fine in colour 001-Rise.
Always just love watching! Wonderful projects and great harmony part ;) Have a wonderful two weeks guys ;) Donna from Ontario
Thank you! You too!
I am knitting my first V Neck Tee, Rock It Tee by Tanis Lavallee and enjoying the process. I like I Cord Finishing.
I-cord finishing is great! It makes such a nice edge
I live in New Zealand and we don't have skunks. I think I'm glad about that but, oh boy, are they ever cute. Fantastic filming Ken.
They certainly are cute!
It was nice visiting again Fleece and Harmony last weekend and meet Simone and see her knit that sweater SOOOOOO fast ;-)
Yes - she is a crazy fast knitter!
We’re coming to visit you this coming week and I’d love to see and touch that cherry tee that Simone is working on. I think I need one of those!
It's a personal project, so it doesn't "live" in the shop, but we have lots of store samples to inspire you!

Betsy - that’s how I am about V-necks also 😊
V-necks for all! LOL
Do you have a skunk block yet? If not, you should. They are so cute!
Not that I am aware of... Good idea though!

It’s funny how our knitting group also branched out to other crafts (spinning, weaving, paper piercing, cross stitching etc)
That is awesome!
Betsy, I’m knitting the Harlow V neck by Caidree as I watch this and am loving this pattern so much. Highly recommend 😊
Thanks for the recommendation!

It's not for everyone, I guess. The fabrics that Simone is using do seem a bit more "crisp" (?)
Cute little stinkers. 😉
