    The theory suggests that your throttle response should be better, as there is less inertia for the engine to overcome. A lightened flywheel works on the same principle. I ve heard that a lightened flywheel is a worthwhile upgrade for the zetec engines. So if you ever need to do a clutch on the car, you may as well get a lightened flywheel

      Thank you, this is good advice and I've heard the same... there is some talk that with the better throttle response also comes a reduction in torque, but I can't confirm that.

    Great video as per usual, do you if the crank underdrive pulley works for the 1.6 engine? I'm waiting for more videos for the project!!

      Thanks you mate, I appreciate you watching. I'm not sure if the pulley will fit a 1.6 but ask these guys, they will be able to tell you :)

    Great video!! Is this engine block the same as a focus st170?
    When you change the accessory belt, shouldn't you change the water pump? I think the wather pump is driven by the accessory belt..

    • @Horus_Works
      @Horus_Works  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate. Yeah the accessory belt is driven by the water pump, and your ST170 block is the same as mine. No need to change your water pump if it's fine though, the accessory belt is very easy to take off at any time anyway. But if you'd like to see how to change the water pump in these cars then just check out my other vid:

    What a treat to see two focus videos in one week. I'd like to ask you please:
    Why did you choose a Ford focus as a daily driver?

    • @Horus_Works
      @Horus_Works  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Muaad 😊 so glad that you are enjoying the vids. To answer your question, I chose a Mk1 Focus for a daily because they are great driver's cars. If you're into driving cars, these things cannot be beat. They aren't fast, but that's not the point to the Focus. I love how this car can put a smile on my face even in city traffic. As they say, it's better to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow.

    • @MuaadElSharif

    Did you curse Mazda/Ford off camera when you found out the bolt wouldn’t clear without jacking the engine?
    Better question: what rims do you have in the car?

    Ismét nagyon jó videót csináltál. Köszi szépen.
    Esetleg nem mérted mennyivel könnyebb a gyárihoz képest ez a szíjtárcs?
    Esetleg hengerenkénti leömlőt vagy gyári st170 leömlőt nem tervezel feltenni rá? Az dobna pár lóerőt rá😁

    • @Horus_Works
      @Horus_Works  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Szia, a súlykülönbség nagy. A gyári szíjtárcsa 1.5kg, az új szíjtárcsa pedig körülbelül 300g. Azt tervezem, hogy hamarosan további frissítéseket adok hozzá remélhetőleg :)

      @@Horus_Works Az tényleg jelentős különbség. Kb olyan hatása lehet akkor mint egy könnyített lendkeréknek.🤔

    Hi mate,
    Yeah there's not a lot to write home about lol, maybe 3bhp but you should invest in a decent header and system to get more gains..
    Are you going to try a 65mm throttle body soon?, those are fun to drive with. Mine will be off the road for another month as I'm doing the header, exhaust and intake mods , it's not my daily so I can take my time.. oh I'll let you know about the fiesta st brakes too later on..
    Have you an email I can send pics to ? Cheers

    • @Horus_Works
      @Horus_Works  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've looked for a 65mm TB a while back but no luck, I might try again... Exhaust and header are on the list! Send pics via Insta if you like :)

    • @marty3469
      @marty3469 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Horus_Works I had a 65mm in my last Focus 1.8 and it felt like the response doubled , bhp felt more but don't think so, just gave it loads of low down grunt . Trying to find them now is trying to find a piece of hay in a stack of needles ! Lucky I bought up on focus stuff 10-15 yrs ago so I may have a TB or two about spare .
      I'm not any social media except this one unfortunately, might see what antisocial media's the missus does lol, to contact you thru 👍
