Thank you. I have been looking all over for videos on how to properly use a sling. Now i will have to experiment with my rifle that i have a sling attached to and make sure i am using it properly
@@AmbGun Thanks for the reply. After using the M-1 for 8 years, I'll stick with the old fashion. At Parris Island a thin officer on the range held the M-1 with one hand against his shoulder. I could it 2 seconds. But I practice until I could hold the M-1, 9.5#'s for 20 seconds. I left PI with 4 points from a perfect score and never had less than Expert.
@@ideaman99 M1 exudes quality. Love them. 9.5 pounds and a lot of leverage to overcome doing that one handed thing. The old GI canvas sling works for me and is so affordable, all my rifles have one...plus spares for students who show up with crap nylon. I gather you were qualifying using a very similar course of fire.

Those ugly old GI cotton duck slings are key.
How to get the arm loop on a 1907 leather sling?
I haven't used one of those. Another option that I haven't tried is the Ching Sling.
