I am a huge jd fan, I saw this October in Dublin and was crying so hard when they played dm songs. It feels like such a beautifully shared moment between the band and us, the fans through music appreciation, love for both bands and a shared sense of sorrow that Ian has been gone for so long. Joy division and new order forever
I can here the sorrow in Bernards voice, Every time N.O. play this song Live. They truly miss Ian, more than any of us. When they perform J.D. songs on stage, It's definitely an ode to there old friend Ian. 😢❤️🩹💔
Yeah, sure. Ian played the iconic bass notes that I always listen to. Sorry but if you think the vocalist is the only piece important of a band without considering the distinctive sound they make, then you have a limited perception about music.
@@MisterJonVox if you didn't want people to read it don't write it. It's called "spelling" for a reason. I totally understand your comment but the other guy made a perfectly valid point. It's not like they kept the name joy division after he died so yeah..
When both the people that wrote it aren't there playing it either i wouldn't say its a cover. I would say Hooky has more claim to playing it without being a cover as he wrote the main riff
He wanted to keep the rock part going after joy division with new order but Bernard and Stephen wanted to go more the 80s wave music. Listen to their 80s music and also berney didn't want to play joy division songs up until the last couple years. But peter wanted to keep playing them after joy division
No Ian. No Hooky. They're not Joy Division and never will be. Somewhat amused that Twatto does a worse job of the vocals than Ian ever did, given that Ian couldn't sing ...
No. Los 4 miembros eran Joy Division ya que cada uno aportaba su estilo que hacia que la banda tuviera un sonido distintivo. Que siempre digan que el vocalista es la banda me parece tan ignorante musicalmente hablando.

Cant believe this has become an anthem. Loveit❤

R.I,P. Ian Curtis
Yep
I think Bernard was the closest to Ian in the band
Keep resting well Ian❤
Love it!!
Фантастика!!!
Lindo demais
El himno de Joy Division.
Fantastic. I'm jealous of you.
Ian Curtis is Joy Division. Lets be honest. 👍🫡

@@gutsypath9 ok. And what happened to Joy Division. My comment wasn't text for the purpose you read into it.

@demo3456 you're in the judgment seat bcuz eye forgot an apostrophe? My comment wasn't personal.
@demo3456 and another thing, doufas, in my reply eye said if you are able to comprehend what you read, "for the purpose you read into it." Doufas.
Very good..
Brilliant! ...but not really a cover version as New Order are Joy Division.
As long as the original singer and writer isn't singing it well it's a cover.
True bro
A bit pedantic.

Only two members of Joy Division are in New Order now Barney and Stephen
Uma das principais canções dos anos oitenta......
Tribute
Wonderful Tribute
jest ok ze kilka ludzi na swiecie pamieta joy division
Why did Hooky bail out?
IDK doing his own thing playing in his own band with his son. I met Jack at Smashing Pumpkins. He was cool.
Mrs Merton prob told him to 😉😲😉
Haçienda money issues, alcoholism, band dynamics.
He wanted to give up the bass and introduce the glockenspiel to New Order's classics. That's when they told him to fuck off.

it's not a cover!!! they wrote it!!!
Why’s this have me choking up 😢
"Cover"?! It's their song, genius. They changed their name to New Order after Curtis died
