Goliath's upgraded blue rocket flame is among the most beautiful things in this game. This whole game had a feel of Flash saying: "How many times do I have to teach you this lesson old man??" about hydras and mutas not scaling well against upgraded tanks and goliaths.
The bit about rushes being generally weaker in 2 player makes is very interesting. One of those unintuitive things that I'd have a hard time believing otherwise
Yeah, Flash didn't need to rebuild the armory that was destroyed, he barely took advantage of it anyway. Could of just waited until +3 attack finished then start +3 armor on the same remaining single armory, a minor optimization he could have done. This year, I completely finished Starcraft campaign and got interested in this channel (even if I don't wanna go into multiplayed due to the skill requirement). Flyer Carapace against Goliaths is the same as Carapace vs Zealots. Goliaths shoot 2 missiles, so it's (2x(10-1))/2, which rounds down to 2x4. Instead of (2x10)/2, which rounds up to 2x5. In this case, Flash had +1 Vehicle Weapons before the Flyer Carapace, so it would be (2x(10+2-1))/2, rounds down to 2x5 again.
It doesn't round at all. Goliaths normally deal 10 explosive damage per missile. If they have no upgrades, but the flying target has 1 armor, they deal 9 explosive damage per missile. If the target is small, that is multiplied by 0.5 to get 4.5 damage per missile. After both missiles have hit, that's a total of 9 damage. No rounding. Values are only rounded to the nearest 1/256 point, not the nearest whole point. The exception is that if the damage would be reduced below 0.5, it is set to 0.5 damage instead.
I wonder what his transition / game plan is if he does see queens. Maybe his timing attack is still so st ong he can tempo them out or maybe he has time to build enough valks to kill the queens during a followup attack before they get energy for a second go
It's probably maximum pressure. Just attack and do as much damage as possible before queens become relevant. You should have a few minutes from queen build (timer starts when resources are spent) until energy is built-up. Queens start to get value after spawn broodlings but it's a wife and predictable weakness. 10 queens could be 10 Mutalisks or 8 lurkers. It's a substantial investment. Science vessels and EMP also do well to negate Queen energy. It's micro heavy but it certainly changes the calculus. Wiping out 100 energy is another ~100 seconds of Queen charging.
I think Artosis is wrong on the muta hydra counter against terran mech. Mutalisks are small units while hydralisks are medium. Mutalisks soak damage from goliaths much better than hydralisks. What is more, hydralisks deal explosive damage while mutalisks deal normal. That means unless terran is active, mutalisks are going to aggro the terran while hydralisks are going to clear terran mech much more effectively than mutalisks alone.

Starcraft damage rule is: "how much damage the attacking unit does, subtracts the armor of the receiving unit, then multiplies by the size vs. damage type modifier" This means getting armor for Mutalisks are great against Goliaths since the armor is counted TWICE due to it being two separate attacks. Also Goliath's Air Attack is Explosive Damage, that damage is already cut in half. So if Mutalisks get +3 Armor, that means Goliath with base damage of 10 (x2) will only do 7 damage total for both missiles hitting together. If Goliaths get +6 Damage, then it will do 13 instead of 7. The extra range helps it get the first hits from afar. But in a big enough Mutalisk ball, it doesn't matter.
I was hoping flash would bust out that quick 3 fac gol build he did on stream the one time. Cant remeber exact order but it was CC first then when the first fac finished he build an armory and 2 more fac then spammed gols. It was awesome

Gols are also HP Chads not so much DPS Chads. For there price I think they have the highest HP to Min/Gas Ratio of any terrian unit by MILES. The fact they come with 1 armor just makes it worse. Its why they EAT Zerglings alive... to much HP and armor.
Because someone at Blizzard used to love these bugs too much. Although to be fair, air units stacking needs to go for everyone and not just for Zerg. :)

2 player maps and all walls are always sergling tight so we lose a lot of early game to walls.
Fair to say ForGG still has a long way to go to get back to his former glory compared to FlaSh :D
