I agree with dani lee / vago. I also can't hear any significant difference between the Helix Revv & the real Revv G20 that you have there. The similarities/closeness was best exemplified at about 11:58 with the within phrases, back & forth playing. Thanks, Richard
Great sounds from both, I can't really tell much of a difference and I have pretty good monitors. Line 6 has really stepped up and knocked it out of the park with the value packed into the Helix. I use an HX Stomp and a Powercab 112 plus and I will not be buying any more amps, for awhile anyway! I just love how easy it is to get a great tone I usually play a 3 to 4 block patch and I love it. The best part of it is that it sounds great at low volumes. I love being able to record anytime I want and not worry about waking others. If it wasn't for you and the hard work you put into these videos I wouldn't be half as good at getting great tones. Your "Dialing In" series has helped me countless times. Thank you for all you do for the Line 6 community, and just the music community in general.
oh wow well done i actually prefer the solo tone of the helix when you switched between those two at the end... helix sounded slightly fuller in low mids
Great comparison. I can't tell the difference. I sometimes struggle to get the harsh tones from some of the amp models in Helix from high gain settings, but with some tweaking on the cabs and eq-ing I can eliminate them. I am really digging your Revv videos even though I dont own one.
I use the Revv D20 as an amp/cab using a send/return block in my helix so all helix is doing is providing ODs in front and stereo wet effects in the back. I also have a 1x12 cab connected to the D20 so I have a true wet/dry/wet setup. It sounds much better than anything I was able to achieve with the helix alone. I love the D20. What I notice most about using the D20 is not so much a better tone (although I do think the harmonic distortion is more musical sounding) than I can get with the helix, but it's really more about the feel of the real amp especially when you turn up the volume a bit. I was never able to get quite the same thing with the helix models.
IMO its really good and close if it werent for the fact that you tell us what is what I might have guessed wrong. The revv sound a bit more open and airy thats it for what I heard.Good job as always sensei.Sorry I just finished 2 seasons of cobra kai
Those are incredibly close. What I’m hearing as you’re switching back and forth is a tad more wooffy low mid on the helix model which could probably be dialled out easily with an eq post amp. The G20 has a touch more presence and “sizzle” . I wonder how close you could dial the helix in versus the G20 mic’d up with a real speaker cab ??? Great video as always.
What I found just today is the Helix Revv Ultimate preset I have from you is certainly at least close if not equal to the G20. Maybe I gotta work it better but I did backflips to get it midi controlled in 4CM and honestly I think it’s not worth the trouble.
"I'm thinking of selling my Revv G20 I wonder if anyone's compared the Helix stuff with....oh my GOD...." Haha, thank you, also thanks for the setup and signal neutrality. As I typically play the G20 through IRs/Powercab+, it gives me confidence I'm probably making a good choice. (don't worry folks there's plenty of analog amps in my basement too, I just don't really need all the high gain the G20 offers)
I can't hear the difference between them using decent headphones. I have a Helix and was contemplating buying a Revv G20 or D20 but having heard that I can't see the point.
Jason can I y split the output of my hx effects so that it goes into two differnt sources? Im just paranoid but will the output be screwed somehow Im just checking.I just got a powerstage 170 again but I want to still use my katana mk11 50 watt amp into the power amp in,the right output is going into a headrush 112.
Awesome comparison as usual. If I can give you one suggestion is, if you wouldnt mind also including if there is any difference in feel?......Feel is equally if not more important to me, than the actual output sound. Poor feel and you will play like crap, even with a great tone.

Great job as always Jason demonstrating the enduring value of the helix as a platform 👍

That was fun,,,!!! Your playing is so good,,,love all the help with the Helix,,,!!! I learned so much,,,!!!
Hey man, I love your videos and you give a lot of useful information about the helix. I love that shirt too
I really can't hear an important difference .... Helix is really impresive!
(And Jason too)
I realize it is quite randomly asking but do anybody know of a good site to stream newly released series online ?
@Warren Harley Flixportal xD
@Dwayne Phoenix thank you, I went there and it seems to work :) I appreciate it !!
@Warren Harley Happy to help :)
Can you please do a dialing in on the uni vibe?

The Stomp and Pod GO are worth their money just for the Revv models
Pod Go isn’t getting anything from the new 3.0 update just FYI for anyone looking into those options
@@LochNessAnthony Now it has :)
@@berndkiltz did it really? That’s a nice surprise
Helix totally sounds legit. Excellent work as always sir 👏 👍 👌 🙌 🙏

Carlos, that is hilarious! As I am typing this I literally just finished the last episode of season 2 🤣🤣

I can't tell a difference through my phone. Pretty impressive!
I honestly thought the helix sounded better! A little fuller abs less fizzy.

Hi Jason another great video. I love your chair where you can lift the arm rests to play. What is it???
I cannot hear the difference. Excellent companion. I own both as well.
Pretty close. Helix just needed a little low mid out to sound like the Revv.
Very close. I will have to try this.
Brilliant sounds nice 👌

the G20 sounds a bit thinner which is surprising
Where did you throw your hat?
In the virtual "ring" 😂
@@JasonSadites That's your home! ;)

Is the G20 works as an interface
Oh you need another interface to connect to the computer
...I can't hear any difference (Class A amplifier, Usher speakers), but I would like that you should compare Helix with Fractal :-)
G20 felt a little more lively to me, I dont know how to explain it, just more of something, more organic maybe?
no meaningful difference! Very impressive... Love my Helix and both Revv models. Can't wait for 3.0...
