    I immediately thought of Steve Vai’s “Greasy Kid’s Stuff” as soon as you started rattling off the amp settings at the beginning 😝
    This might also be a good setup for using the Crossover Split to allow the lower pitch stuff to be limited to the lower strings via the split’s frequency settings.

    That Revv Red is so usable without being harsh - well demonstrated, Dr. Cordy!

    Great video and great tone. Love these learning videos that open up the magic of the stomp. Loading multiple tweakable variations into one footswitch is a winner. Cracking versatile tone as well. Thanks as always.

    Assigning so many Parameters to a single Stomp button instead of using Snapshots is something I haven't explored much. Looks like a really useful approach, and the demonstration was very interesting and instructive. Thanks 👍

    Have had great results with the Revv red and purple models for rock tones. Appreciate this tutorial to try some new settings. Hope Line 6 add the blue and green channels in the future. Finding that the red channel can get moderately clean, but still more of like an edge of breakup/pushed tone with the drive at the minimum. Lucky to have it in the Helix, but if I had the $3k+ in my back pocket, I'd buy the real thing!

    Hey John, since you can't remember the name drop it in the folder.(being facetious in case anyone thinks I can't read...haha)..Thx....and by the way another interesting tone is the Robert Plant song Ship of Fools which would be interesting to see your idea of a build...very clean and sparkly....flangy or chorusy...similar to your NEO tone I suppose....It's getting to the point where the more esoteric guitar tones are all that are left to explore perhaps.......that's why I also mentioned the lead from Owner of a Lonely Heart since it's got that pitch effect in there etc....Cheers!

      I purchased a LT a few years ago. Looking back I wish I would of got the floor. It really is an impressive piece of kit! I use it mostly for my own messing around and recording. My tube amp pretty much sits around unused now. Just gotta understand it's not the same as an amp in the room, but it works great for recording and practicing. So many options the 1st year I was overwhelmed. JC has been a great help to get a handle on it and really inspired me to dive into it. No regrets on the purchase except not buying the full size unit.

      @@shawnmcginnis2508 What is it about the Floor unit that you wish you had? I just bought a Stomp and really could use a couple more switches but I don't think that's a problem with the LT

      @@Artec619 just the I/O . These day I wish I had the mic inputs. I can run a 1/4 adapter and still go into the helix, but having the actual mic input would of been nice. Thankfully because the versatility of it I can still make things work. 🙂

    Your play and channel are awsome and I'm really big fan of your helix tones tutorials and create the sounds based on the videos, but I have a problem that the sounds are not the same as yours. Even once I used the same guitar. I'm new in helix but familiar in use it, maybe any helpfull tipps?

    I like the Revv Purple but can’t help but keep leaning on the BE100 still. I don’t really use the models lately since getting my Origin 20 2204 modded.

    Hey John. I know you are a busy guy but I have a request...could you do this with the Pod Go and then drop it in the folder so I can see if the folder I am looking is updating. The last entry is from March of this year. I don't know if you haven't dropped anything in the Pod Go file for a bit and, this way, I can see if it updates. I picked up the Pod Go package a second time to make sure I had the current link and it had the same results. No big deal, though. Just whenever you can get the time and I will continue to check back.

    45 settings later... Its definately not plug and play. You definately achieved a great sound but getting there requires an awful lot of expertise and therein lies the problem🤔

    • @johnnathancordy
      @johnnathancordy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think it's possible to have a thing that is capable of so much variety to be totally plug and play to be honest?

    • @robertritchie2860
      @robertritchie2860 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnnathancordy I agree - however, to reach your (very high) level involves an awful lot of time and effort (and if course competence too). I find it hard enough to find time play never mind to fiddle around to get an acceptable sound... using traditional methods: pedal plus amp is certainly more plug and play...
