I remember back in 2015-2016 when this card came out, everyone was saying that it was the best budget card to get. And of course, I got it. But it really just shows how far budget GPUs have come. Back then, you need to spend at least $150 for a decent budget card, maybe lower if you're fine with buying used. But now the selection for $150 cards are amazing. You can play triple A games with a new $150 card today, 7 years ago it was only a dream.
Honestly the GT710 is an amazing device for one feature in particular: It is the single best troubleshooting device I own. I have only ever plugged it into 1 PC that refused to boot afterwards, and that PC had had its CPU dropped and the PCIe lanes weren't connecting properly in the socket due to the damaged substrate (this was an 8700F, so no iGPU to be found). The GT710 may not be a good graphics card, and its hard to even call it a display adapter, but I always keep an old passively cooled GT710 in my troubleshooting box just in case - its got me out of enough issues to be worth keeping.
It's the cheapest way to add multiple ports for displays for a multi-monitor setup to servers and many OEM PCs, so it's not useless, it's very useful in business and sysadmin contexts.
Every GT#10 should be looked at as a premium "Video Adapter" rather than a "Graphics Card" You actually can add it to a system that already has an existing good card and use it only to add more displays if your current card happens to be full. If you must have that many displays, that's the way to do it. You can still do all the rendering on the main GPU. I actually learned that from a colleague that happens to professionally stream on Twitch. Granted this was years ago. For all I now, you can use the ports on the motherboard on more modern systems now. (I always felt like that should be a thing anyway)
The 710 *IS* the 210 relabelled! Its a superb card for playing back movies although, as a 3D animation professional, the Quadros do have better colour ;)

Had a gt720 in my old pc threw that card in the bin
I will never forget when I got my first PC... The seller nearly convinced my dad that a 4GB GT 730 (the same card as the 710, basically) was BETTER than a 2GB GTX 650 TI, because it had more VRAM. Luckily, i convinced him otherwise and got the GTX 650 TI at another store, for cheaper than what the first seller was trying to sell me for.
