I suspect the fan is quiet- until it's under significant load? Probably plenty of passive cooling behind that hefty weight. No fan running keeps the inside clean as well as keep the user sane 🐸
Multiple power supplies in one! When in series, I suppose you can easily supply +12V and -12V to an Op Amp, which is convenient. Makes a lot of sense to have the capability to double the output too. This one definitely requires reviewing the owner's manual. Loving panel buttons which light up, classy!
Indeed Paul! I'll be doing a follow-up Teardown next month. I really appreciate the low noise. Even the other UNI-T PS I put beside it (UTP3315TFL-II (Regulated DC Power Supply) is incredibly noisy without any load. So this is a real treat.

This PSU looks very user friendly when comparing it to my Siglent SPD3303X.
Siglent is solid, but UNI-T really made the 3305S a dream to operate. 👍
Nice product presentation. For a review I´m missing some measurements, e.g. are there overshoots, how fast the control circuits react and so on. And I´m missing the usual teardown. What happened? No screwdriver? For 570 € (not really a cheapie) I would have pretty high expectations. BTW: How good and reliable is the software for the PC connection working? Nothing seen regarding the software at all...

This is not the UDP3305S-E so your $499 suggested price is wrong! I purchase the UDP3305S you review here for $662ca+Taxes from ITM. The difference between them is the résolution the cheaper "E" version resolution is 10 mV/10 mA instead of 1 mV/1 mA but they are both amazing.
What a beefy boy. And with its innovative patented silent cooling system, it can even suck all the pesky dB right out of the air in a 3-meter radius, making your workshop even quieter.🤩
In all seriousness, this does seem like a really good PSU. I don't even need it, yet I want it. It would be nice for a change to not have to listen to a jet turbine every time you need to use your PSU. 👍

Looks to be intuitive to use, does it stack physically with their other units or is is a bit of a bespoke size? Is all the cooling passive or is there a fan when it gets a load on it and will then become noisier?
Yes completely stackable, fits the other UNI-T range of bench equipment like a glove. Also no issues with non UNI-T gear either, even legacy.
I'll be doing a full Teardown next month with thel the juicy details including the PC Software functionality 👍

Hi. Why did you keep the PSU in serial coupling the whole time? The basic screen normally displays the values of the three outputs.
Great question, alot people haven't seen the dual output display hence the reason why that mode was demonstrated.
What would the supply need to be 5 stars?
Dang near perfect me thinks 🤔 👍 seriously though, little things like that obnoxiously loud carry handle twang, include a set of basic test leads or clips..the little niggles like that, keep it from being perfect!
