Haha, maybe because many of your viewers already have 703s? You made a good comparison. The 2C23T seems less wobbly, more functional construction and a more developed waveform generator. The 703s is more efficient and has stronger oscilloscope with X-Y mode, which I believe is more important. Both are good, and I hope both can learn from each other and improve in the future. Thank you
I am assuming that Oscilloscopes are more sensitive and advanced than EKG machines, yet I can not detect whatever EKG machines are detecting, or maybe I couldn't figure it out. You are more experienced than I am, can you please tell out how to do it and what I am doing wrong? Thanks for your videos.
As a technician I have always wanted a portable oscilloscope available in a multimeter format. From your description the Zoyi-703S seems to be the far superior option. The accuracy and ease of use is better than the other unit. XY mode and fast capture will be of more use than the temperature capability Thank you Tim for your review, it has helped me choose the better one. I want the Zoyi-703S !!🤞😊
Thanks for the video, it helped me to realize Zoyi is the option that best suits my needs. Actually it was in good timing as I did already placed the order for the Fnirsi tester, which obviously cancelled just in time after watching this video. Two main dealbreakers: X-Y mode and higher bandwith
I bought a FNIRST and it was bad from the start. They (FNIRST) would only message via their support webpage/window, basically they told me send pictures (I did), they said it was working fine (I told them I did not want it). They stopped responding and I have to eat the lose (throw it away). After many email and the insults I just gave up. SO "their support" is very bad. Going to get the 703S after this video. Thanks sir. FYI: BSEE since 1979, I have 4 other scopes (2 analog scopes). Yea, pretty sure it was NOT me. Never bought from them again and I always direct people to the "OTHER option" if there is one.
Either is attractive, but I prefer the ZOYI ZT-703s, because better bandwidth and XY mode. It was easy to decide because your review is very concise and you showed exactly what I needed to know. Now if they performed the same, I would prefer the smaller flatter form factor of the FNIRSI.
On balance I think I prefer the ZOYI ZT-703s. The interface seems to be more user friendly and the button layout less cluttered. Thanks for the comparison, it really helps in making a decision.
I will choose the ZOYI-703S ZOYI 703S seems more suitable for my requirements. It has a better bandwidth, is more accurate, and the display in multimeter mode is more conventional (the Fnirsi multimeter mode display is weird). To be honest the multimeter mode will be used more often, but the oscilloscope will be always there when needed.
UPDATE. With the new 1.4.2. firmware update we now have a third trace available in the form of "FFT" (FAST FOURIER TRANSFORM) availability in glorious RED colour. It replaces the FORMAT position in the fourth menu which was used to delete the stored screen shots. It changes the "X" axis from time to frequency and as such changes the display to that of a a spectrum analyser. Frequency is plotted along the x-axis and amplitude is plotted along the y-axis. FFTs often look like a series of mountain peaks. The horizontal location of peaks indicates which frequencies are strongly present in the W/F. The valleys show which frequencies are absent. I tried this with the built in calibration sig gen on all the available W/Fs and it shows the strongest frequency is the prime 1 KHz followed in the case of square waves by diminishing amplitude peaks at each successive square wave. Quite useful when checking audio problems etc. The second change in the menu is in the 2nd row, what used to be the trigger position, is now "SAMPLE" with two choices, HD & PEAK, peak.
I have tried both of these instruments and my final choice was the 703S. I wanted to resolve an analogue video wave form and the 703s was better at that. The sig gen was less of an incentive as I already have a very capable one and the scope was the most important element to me. Its unfortunate that the sig gen cannot be used at the same time as the scope, you need to connect another scope to the side connectors to view it and you have to press the mode button to clear the sig gen set up screen and this enables the scope again, but the output changes to the 1KHz probe set up sig gen, its not the same as the main one. Other than that with the latest firmware V1.4.2. its a very competent tool.
I need a temp sensor as i work on model trains and i need to be sure the smoke generator is hot enough. But I do not like the setup of the FNIRIS having to go back to home all the time. I am so used the dial but love the need bid screen. I guess I would want the ZOYI them find a temp reader separately. Dennis Thank You, Dennis
Based on my experience, after 9 Fnrisi products, I can say Zoyi. Fnirsi doesn't care about its customers, it releases a product, and then instead of fixing the errors, it releases another one, which might be even worse... You can see this with the 2C53P after the DPOX180H, which is a disaster... Zoyi, on the other hand, releases updates and even newer features faster. Now in 1.4.2 there is an FFT function. I'm not saying it's perfect, but it's better than Fnirsi. little off: I am now waiting for the Owon HDS120, which came out recently, I hope it arrives this week. It is not a full-fledged scope, but in some cases it is sufficient. You can quickly and easily check simpler waves, whether the measured voltage contains AC or DC components, etc. There is no need to struggle with the BNC probe for a simple check. Until now, I didn't buy such a device because I didn't trust its quality, but I am satisfied with Owon so far.
I like 703s, because of XY mode. Possible octopus or V-I curve tracer. But 2C23T is also good in other ways. Maybe I could make some modifications to 703s, to have microamp / nanoamp range or simple back hook also. Thank you
Id love to get my hands on the zoyi as its not available locally in ny country. This would go really well with the rig im building for trouble shooting pcb faults and verifying that all works as intended.
I got ZOYI S3, and I gotta say, after using it for a month, it has A LOT of bugs. Sometimes something as simple as wrong voltage reading, it has trouble if the DC voltage is variable. Voltmeter doesn't understand what's going on and even shows negative values and I have to turn it on and off for it to read properly, while osciollocope sometimes shows 50v when I have 5v going from power supply. There are many other bugs, but didn't expect bugs with reading values and even formatting.
Was very close for me, both seem to have good features but for scope use mainly the FNIRSI 2C23T tipped it for me. Would like both really the ZOYI for multi meter and FNIRSI for the scope but want a scope more as i have multi meters already. Been looking for a scope and the FNIRSI seems suitable. Good review. Thanks.. Keep up the good work .

If you need XY mode 25k resolution on multimeter and bigger size then choose Zoyi. If you want better wave gen more intuitive operation and smaller size then choose Fniris. Both for the price are amazing to me
Who care how its look? More interesting how its work, i know that for example 2c23T is not measuring a lot of time, looks like while it draw image, so if you want to catch short signal it miss it completely often.
hey bros, please tell me why, hha why would you like this model. thanks

I also compared the 2 and ended up buying the Zoyte thanks for the videos

Where can we find firmware update 1.4.2 for the 703S? I checked the ZOYI site but they only have the 1.3.9

Very helpful and informative, thanks. I think i will look to buy the ZOYI after seeing this video. Will have to look at the price here in Australia..

I have already reguested to place an order for fnirsi 2c23t, but with your comparison, I'm confused. What your advice?

@@juhaszpeter4796 Does the firmware version 1.4.2 applies to the Zoyi 703S?

I think the blue one is better for people that aren’t used to oscilloscopes. Red one is intimedating
