I always told people that with a CVT, having it “fake shift” makes it slower. It does feel more conventional and sporty in a way, but you’re exactly correct, the boost drops as well as the rpm and then the engine has to remake the boost. I thought with Hondas that if you left it in D mode, it would just stay at 6k-6.3k at WOT, and in S mode it would fake shift at WOT. That sounds weird because like you said without the fake shifts it is faster so why would Honda program it like that. I think it’s just for the effect so people think it’s shifting and seems quicker. It could be the opposite, but I know I drove a friends CVT 1.5T at WOT and it would hold the revs in one of the modes and I believe it was D, surprisingly. Anyways, love your car. Looks so fresh brother. Good luck with it. Change that CVT tranny fluid every 15k to keep it fresh.

Thinking of going flex fuel. I have a 2021 EX CVT tuned with phesrsble 1.5 and a prl race cai for about 6k miles. If i install the prl flex fuel can i run both 93 gas and e85? I can only put e85 on the edge of town and would only be down for it when i go out for races. Should I add more bolt ons? Or as long as i don’t consecutively hit it should i be fine?
Yeah you'll need a flex fuel custom tune to run both 93 octane and e85, honestly it'll be better to run flex fuel Ethanol only if you upgrade your turbo, the stock turbo is already max out with just 23ps on 93 octane with ktuner 21psi otsi, with Ethanol you'll pushing around 27psi.. and since your car is ex , that means you don't have the stronger rods, but it should be fine, I wouldn't go for more power unless you're gonna be racing like me and trying to get draggy record
So setting the TPS to 90% wont let the car “shift” even in sport mode just keeps the rpms near 6k? Is that what your sayin? And you keep the block there while you drive?
Yes that's what I'm saying but sometimes it'll still shift, yes I securely keep that block there, make sure that block doesn't fall off and go under your brakes pedal, but yes the point of the 90% is to keep the car from shift and keeping the rpm at 5500-6000 rpm however it still shifts sometimes, if it does shift alot with the tps at 90%, try tps at 85%

Hey man Saw your videos of you dragging this, fucking awesome. I wanna do this to my hatchback eventually. Any problems?
Hatchbacks have weaker rods than sedans and coupe, I haven't had any major problems, btw u a ufc fan?
@@the_batmobile0.4 Even with the hatchback sport? I'm thinking a total of 230 HP. It is also my daily so im not trying to go to the edge.
And ya lol dont mind my username i made that super quickly. Also fellow Ontarion here.
@@rigoeats3654 all 10thgen civic hatchbacks have weaker rods, 230 shouldn't do anything to them tho, you're good with around 250
@@the_batmobile0.4 should I do a k tuner or dyno?
@@rigoeats3654 you'll still need a custom map to achieve 250hp on ktuner, do u have a ktuner v2?
What rear diffuser do you have?
What year is your civic because how do you have a 1.5T when I have a 2019 civic sport and it has a dumb 2.0L smh
What? Mines 2018, civic from 2016 to 2023 all have 2 engines, the slow 2.0L and the 1.5T, u choose the wrong engine lol
lol thers a 2.0 l version with non turbo. I guess 1.5T faster
where i can get your rear diffuser?
Can the Rpm/Rev limiter be removed & I have a 21 stock 1.5L CVT civic what’s that full list of mod i should do for sound & speed while maintaining reliability @ZeusLightning
Why would u want to remove the limiter? Its there for a safety reason, cvt doesn't sound good at all IMO, one of the main reasons I got rid of mine, but I had a catless downpipe with a custom valvetronic exhaust set up. Start of with ots maps like ktuner 21 psi. You'll need a downpipe for it.
@@the_batmobile0.4 English 😅 I only know rice 🍚 Elaborate more please .
hey how are you doing
hope you can help me
i have a 2016 Honda civic 1.5 cvt and just installed the 27one W1 turbo but cant find anybody to tune it
do you know anybody in Toronto
thank you so much
I got mine Etune through ktuner by Derek Robinson
What size wheels and tyre width u running front and rear
245 all round, 19 inch 8.5 width
Hey man whats the top speed you hit in mph? I want my car to hit 160 you think that be a problem?
Good luck with that, unless you got a really long smooth stretch of road it's OK, but I went 142mph and the car was very shaky, I didn't go more because the car was unstable at such high speed, could've been because of the road though, wasn't smooth.
@@the_batmobile0.4 thanks for the reply man seen alot of your races on sam’s channel although I like the hatchback better you doin good work for all us cvt guys.
@@overlordtype25 thanks, but be careful with hatchbacks , they have weaker rods than the touring sedans, you can checkout civicx.com about it
@@the_batmobile0.4 yes ive heard about it and constantly check the forums lol. Im just going fbo while keeping stock turbo & run phearable race tune hoping for close to 240-250hp , nothing too crazy in power like yours 😂
@@overlordtype25 oh ok, then it should be OK then.
So what car do you have now?

do you believe the ctv will handle 350 hp? or even 300?
300hp easy, I was making around 320whp, 350 is pushing it, hp is not the problem so much it's the torque
@@the_batmobile0.4 thank you for answering me but how much torque can it handle

mpg?
Around 29.8 mpg with normal driving, 19.8 with aggressive driving
Any problems with the W1 turbo? I'm thinking of getting one, but recently heard they have a pretty high failure rate. And even though they have a 1 year warranty and 27won have great customer service, I'd rather just avoid it altogether if there's going to be any hassle and go for something else. Any feedback is appreciated 👍🏾
No problems on mine but there was unfortunately a good amount of people who had failures on their's.

What is the maximum torque of cvt ?
Idk, I made around 260wtq
@@the_batmobile0.4 I mean maximum withstand torque
@@carey1526 around 290wtq about 4000rpm
Holy shit, the silver Civic was your car?? It was definitely moving at the end of the 400m. My question is, how did you get around the torque limit in the computer?
Yes silver_surfer0.2 was me, and I didn't tune the car myself, I said in the video I had 3 different custom tune from 3 different tuners, the car weak point is too much low end torque, if u keep the torque above 4000rpm ,you should be OK with around 290 torque, but u will also suffer from terrible dig power
@@the_batmobile0.4 The combo that I would most likely go with is the KTuner 21psi off the shelf tune, Mish cold air intake, intercooler, and charge pipes (Phoenix heat), PRL catted downpipe, front pipe, and an ARK Performance exhaust (I like the beefier sound). Will that combo create too much torque with the stock turbo?
@@bryanhallman8183 nope, that combination won't be no where close to too much torque. Ots maps are conservative.
@@the_batmobile0.4 Sweet! I just found videos on how to change the CVT fluid and the filter on YT. Do you go just with the Honda stuff, or is there something you've found that works better?
