I was searching for a bunch of videos on how to supplement formula and feed breastmilk at the same time, and you’re was the only one that actually answered the question! Thank you for everything!

Going out of town for work and will have to supplement BM with formula for a few bottles per day since I can’t produce extra BM to freeze. Do I need to ween my 4 mo old on to formula even if I plan to have at least 2 bottles of full BM per day? And how far in advance should I introduce formula to her? I only plan to supplement while I’m gone and plan to go back to full BM once I get home.

Thank you for this video! Question, why do we have to mix the formula first then add the breast milk? I usually heat up my breast milk then add in the formula all in one bottle. Also , we are switching formulas. From happy baby to kendamil. Is there a way to transition that meanwhile I still combo feed with breast milk? Hope that makes sense.

Hey if you make a batch of formula, i understand that it needs to be in boiling water , store in right and used within 24hrs but do you warm it up again to make a bottle? Is that still nutritious? Basically the milk has been heated up twice

You mentioned that once you make the formula bottle you need to use it within 2 hours but then you said you can make big batches and use it in 24 hours. Do you put this formula you made in a big batch in the fridge and use as needed? Then do you warm it under warm water? Just curious why there is a difference??

you can make a batch and immediately put it in the fridge but it has to be used within 24 hours, and if you make a bottle and you start feeding the baby you have to finish the bottle or toss within an hour and way before the 2 hour mark because bacteria from their mouths enter the bottle and ruin quality.

I'm wondering the same. if you make a batch of formula, i understand that it needs to be in boiling water , store in fridge and used within 24hrs but do you warm it up again to make a bottle? Is that still nutritious? Basically the milk has been heated up twice

I thought powder formula is not sterile and needs to be mixed with hot water?

What about nursing and then supplementing with formula right after?

You can definitely do that! If you wanted your supply to be in tune with what your baby needs, I'd recommend you pump anytime you're offering a supplement. Working 1:1 with a lactation consultant they can guide you more specific to you and your baby.

Video appreciated, but your are extremely repetitive and it was exhausting waiting for you to get to the point.
