Thank you for all the nice videos about 4xe. Very informative!! I Have been watching your video since I got my 4XE less than 2 years ago. It is my 1st Jeep, and I have to give up because of this recall. My HV battery literally died in the middle of the highway. Although I got the battery replaced but the recall remains. Stellantis customer service is awful. I have been calling them >5 times since last week to get rental car reimbursement and gas compensation. The representative promised every time that 95B case manager would call me in 24 hours, NONE happened. I had to call them back over and over again. If a company tends to give customers hope then destroying it, it is a BIG issue. I really love my Jeep, but now I have to give up.

I had a 2021 4xe, and I loved it, it was my dream car. Always got compliments, people would take pictures by my Jeep… It was so pretty, I forgave all the flaws… But enough was enough, I traded it in for a Kia EV9 and I have had it for 6 months without any issues. My jeep had been recalled twice in my first six months. It was tough trading it in, but I forgot how nice it was to drive a vehicle without having to worry about my Jeep shutting off on the highway, or worse catching fire while charging in my driveway.

Good video! I got out of my ’23 Willys 4xe after 11 months because I could see the writing on the walls. I could see continuous issues and recalls coming just from the overwhelming recalls already. When you pay upwards of $60k and more, you expect the product to perform as advertised. I can’t imagine how this is going to be in 5, 8, 10 years. I went to a full ICE Willys, and I am so happy I changed when I did. Not to mention the extra $200 for license plates to cover gas tax, that now owners are now buying a lot more of. Jeep should at least be reimbursing people for that.

100% agreed! The silence is killing brand loyalty. In the 3 years I've had the 4XE I had never considered another vehicle. Now... I'm looking daily for an alternative. Simple communication or what Ford did 250 dollar gift card would go a long long way.

As much as I love my 4xe it is disappointing how Jeep is handling this. But how they handled my warranty situation last year was foreshadowing and was an insight of how stelantis is running their ship. Jeeps have been in our family for 20 years. How they are handling (or lack there of) the situation doesn't make me want to jump in their EV's next. I had a feeling that Jeep probably didn't work out the bugs, which was why I waited 3 years before getting my 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe.... but after 3 years model years into the build process (now 4th) that they still didn't work out all of the issues is very disappointing, I've owned a lot of cars & brands, but Jeeps was my favorite brand, I've owned 4 Grand Cherokees prior to this 4xe.... But in my humble opinion, the Jeep brand has gone downhill since Stellantis took it over; quality is down and prices are way up... The MSRP of my current 2023 Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition was almost $15K more than my 2019 Grand Cherokee Summit with a HEMI V8 fully loaded. Getting a Wrangler Rubicon was always a bucket list car, but I so glad I leased this one because, I can't wait to return it.... It's kind of unfair to not be able use what you purchased it for. This is probably going to drive down resale values of 4xe's until this situation is resolved. This will probably be my last Jeep if Stellantis still owns the brand in the future.
Unfortunately, I see a Class Action Lawsuit in the horizon soon against Stellantis for this issue, so if they don't extend the warranty on their own, it'll be ordered upon them.
Good luck Chris & Thanks for putting out this content!

I asked what recourse I have if a fix is not available by years end 2024, and I was told I could file a complaint, and today if I wanted he could provide a reference number for my call, if I wanted to wait until years end. I grew up in Idaho respecting the Jeep brand as a tough and capable vehicle that was the epitome of off-road prowess. I have owned several Jeep products over the years, but never the ultimate symbol of pure Jeep capability; the Jeep Wrangler. I have a Toyota Tundra for towing needs. For daily commuting, I went from a 4Runner, to a Volvo XC60, and finally to a Wrangler UL 4xe a month ago.
I bought the 4xe because it was heavily discounted and promised increased efficiency. I traded in a 2013 Volvo XC60 R-Design with 335hp and averaged 22 mpg on my daily commute.
So far, I am averaging 20.6 mpg with the Jeep. The power is there when I punch it, so am happy with the performance. But the daily commute driving has been disappointing. I commute 14 miles to work on a rural 2-lane highway with a 55mph limit. With a 100% charge and set on hybrid mode, by the time I get to work 14 mile later, I am at 30% charge or less. Getting off work and headed home, I am at -1% charge before I get home. That is in hybrid mode.
From a real world perspective, the 4xe makes no sense in terms of efficiency or cost savings.
But I bought a Jeep Wrangler UL for more than the daily driving practicality. I bought it because it looks cool, conveys the ruggedness and outdoorsy lifestyle I live, and is a throwback to when vehicles were more capable and rugged.
I love that aspect of my Jeep. The cramped driving area, the loud hardtop, bouncy ride, and constant steering input is what makes driving it a rewarding experience. It keeps me alive. It makes me alert and in tune with my vehicle.
Driving my Jeep Wrangler with a 2.5" lift and on 35" tires keeps me alert and alive. A boring commute in a crossover is easier, but is not challenging or engaging.

I had a Wrangler Rubicon 4XE and sold it just before all this recall nightmare happened. I loved the Wrangler, ended up buying a Tesla Model Y, which is a very different kind of fun, and the leadership (or at least leader) of Tesla certainly has its controversies, but the ownership experience of the Tesla has been flawless. The leadership is definitely an issue, ownership experience is a huge deal, and you can have bad ownership of a company, but the vehicle and ownership experience is a big big deal. I don’t trust the Wrangler 4XE or the company anymore, and that’s an issue.
Chris, you have been a tremendous asset to the company with the Facebook group and this channel, but that was part of the issue. This is excellent analysis of what is wrong with jeep. But it's only touching the surface. Take a look at the Jeep Wranglers by stellantis and the corrosion issue and the recalls on the manual transmission. It is a company that literally is driving Chrysler Jeep into the ground. The Stellantis CEO solution to everything is the push even more electric vehicles even on the ram muscle cars. They are completely clueless about the auto market and our intent on driving Jeep into the ground in the Dustbin of History. I looked and strongly considered a stellantis jeep, but ended up buying a 2017 Jeep Wrangler because I didn't want to deal with all of the unresolved issues.

This is different, of course, but this is not new to the Jeep brand. Generally speaking, Jeep is not for everyone. I've said that for years before the 4xe came along. It's not a practical vehicle - at all. Compared to the average vehicle, the Jeep is not fuel efficient, not family friendly, not comfortable, noisy, rough, etc. The 4xe is even more specific if you look at it as the type of hybrid that it is. The difference is, to me, this one could be out to get you and/or your property. This one, at this time, isn't what was advertised or was sold to the driver.

reality of it is - it is jeep owners who needs to make tough decision, not Stelantis. Stelantis is doing fine according to their numbers and this is only thing they care about. Jeep owners need to realize that 4xe is not same kind of wrangler as TJ or JK that would nor depreciate as fast as other cars and will be easy to maintain and fix. Introduction of hybrid tech and price range of 50K+ moved jeep to same category as luxury vehicles that depreciates a lot and expensive to maintain and fix. So when warranty runs out - trade it in for your next ride (whatever it is) and eat depreciation cost. This is my plan - I am going to keep my 4xe till end of warranty and then switch to next (jeep or toyota). And I am sure my old JK will still be running :)

Europeans do not understand the American market. They are severely out of touch. Just look at Dodge. The only Jeep I am sticking with is our LJ. These fiats can’t go back fast enough. This illustrates where globalization is bad. The fact that a foreign company and foreign bank can force an American consumer to pay for a car that doesn’t work and our govt shows no teeth, illustrates where we are as consumers. Legally speaking every single unit can be submitted for lemon law given no response. Santander is Chrysler financial. The only thing American in this are the people getting ripped off by a foreign company. Too expensive, unreliable, and dealerships where the mechanics can’t fix new cars because the technology is beyond their skills. I wouldn’t recommend Jeep to North Korea. They have it bad enough. I am going to do the paper work myself in NJ. Don’t need a lawyer for the judge to demand they buy it back. In fact the campaign should be called. buy it back.

Jeep started to take itself way too seriously since the JK. Jeep needs to go backwards in order to go foreward and have a future. The environmental wokism is killing EVERYTHING that our (grand)parents build, including the companies. The CO2 problem has long be debunked as is the cl^mate change narrative yet we stay on that path WHY!? Even the Jeep 4.0 straight six is less tolling on the environment due to the energy it takes to build an EV. Not to mention the cobalt mining and disposal of old battery packs and all the issues these cars have that need companies and energy to fix them. A 4.0 runs 250K without any issues only maintanence, an EV is the shop (that runs on the energy grid) for repairs every few months.
