    Once jars are sterilised, do i screw top on and leave in cupboard until required? Thank you 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 UK

    Hello Tracey, thank you for the explanation. I just wanted to ask… my lid is discoloured as you mentioned but it also smells of curry. I can’t get the smell out of the lid so if I cook something sweet (like custard) as I lift the lid the smell of curry custard emerges from the jug (the custard actually doesn’t smell of curry just the lid). What can I do about that please?

      Hi! Thanks for your message and for watching my videos.
      This is very common, and there is a simple answer which is good news.
      When this happens to my lid, I simply put the cleaned lid out into the sunshine for a few hours.
      The sunlight will fade both the colour and the smell from the lid....you can do this as many times as you want, as the lid is designed to withstand a lot of heat without any issues.
      Hopefully this will do the trick for you also!
