I would love to get my hands on this phone. At the beginning I was a bit skeptical about it not having google services but Huawei has evolved into some much better

3:03 the jump between 60 and 90 hz IS factually a bigger jump than the jump between 90 and 120 hz. The jump between 60 and 90 hz is a 50% increase in frames per second. The jump from 90 to 120 hz is only a 33% increase in frames per second 🤷
Yes, and the jump from 60 to 120hz is 100%. What's your point?
GJNA Is a point when you already have a 90hz display
Well yeah, 90hz is enough for gaming because higher refresh rate means higher power consumption

Talk about a practical battery. Just continues to show that high numbers in the specs does not equal “better”.
The s20 ultra on 120hz lasted longer than this on mrwhostheboss battery test

Good Vid Adam. Was that an IR blaster I think I saw on the top side. It looks pretty good. I would really have to feel it in the hand but the issue of not having google doesnt seem to be a problem any longer by the looks of things. I like that fast charge deal aswell. Spot on.

It's nice to know that there's some variety with the apps, they appear to be a somewhat convenient shortcut or workaround, however it's be interesting to see how many everyday apps, what's app, Costa (not that's much help right now) or TV streaming services like Now TV, Amazon prime etc could also be brought onto this model. Time will tell

The only thing that I'll say that good that came out of this pandemic is that most phone companies are not going to be selling most phones over $400 just as they did 6 years ago, but Apple I know is gonna feel it for sure which is better for us as consumers worldwide.
If I hear that Apple sells any phone under $400 US, then I might change my mind as a fanboy of Android lol

The same thing happend with Mate 30 Pro. Everybody loved it, the best camera, amazing specs, but did you see at least one youtuber keep it as their phone? They all went back to iPhone, Pixel, Samsung.
My new 3day P40 Pro has bad battery performance, it's very draining. Light usage as my secondary phone, only Telegram, light chatting, debloat all non huawei apps, disable ads and location, still, the sot it gave me was only 4hrs with 15% battery left. Does the phone needs to be use intensively so the AI can learn and optimize the battery ?

I think P40 Pro is a very good device, but I'm still hesitate to get one mainly is due to the lack of Google Services. Can you tell me those apps transfer over via Phone Clone or downloaded from dedicated website, can we still receive future updates like what we normally do?? This is very crucial to me in order to decide to give it a try for Huawei Devices. Thanks mate :)
1:10 can't you just adjust the settings for that? I'm using the older Huawei P20 on that you can hide the notch by reducing the screen size ever so slightly, (you wouldn't really notice the difference if you didn't know that it could be adjusted to begin with from an observer point of view, screen is a very good size without completely being overwhelming) I know I was never a fan of the notch, so when I found out that I could remove it, for the sake of losing what is essentially less than 1 cm of the screen it was a no-brainer.

I am a fan but not having google browser is an issue. Plus I want something to turn on and go but I’ve got to be a bit of a tech geek to get the apps and a browser. That puts me of. I’ve got a the mate 20 pro and it’s fantastic phone and I love the camera.

It works great, health app is better than one on the Samsung, only thing i would like from huawei watches is better touch smoothnes
Phones get bigger but the top and bottom bezels never disappear. Thats what disappoints.

I think the P40 pro @£899 is the better choice for so many people.
@@Rainyumz yes, it's a lot extra to pay for the Pro X model, but the camera is important to me.

@@Rainyumz well until it's released and tested we won't know, it has a 10X zoom where the P40 Pro is 5X, so if you're in to photography it's a big step up, and the P40 Pro X has a 100X zoom, not that most would use that. Ceramic back more premium finish. It's everyone's choice which they choose.
@@Lynn-zw7dr the 10x zoom must be optical one.. that's a huge steup for a phone's camera.

It's smaller than the notch and being to the side it's far less intrusive for gaming since your thumb will cover it anyway. I have the mate 30 pro 5G and can assure you the Male GPU works great for gaming sessions.
