When it builds to a crescendo I see that final scene with everyone coming together at the airport. It doesn’t matter what nationality we are or wherever we live on this planet, we are all the same, we love, we miss, we long for each other. So heart warming ❤️
It's God, in a movie that received divine inspiration in line with its mission to help a shocked and traumatised world get over the evil of September 11th (as Hugh Grant's inroduction in the film make clear). The Heathrow Aiport scene plays out to "God only knows". He certainly does...
you all probably dont care at all but does anyone know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my password. I love any help you can give me.
Mine too. We watch it every Christmas. Came out 2003; same year my son was born. Went to the cinema on December 6th , in hospital next day !!! Best thing Richard Curtis ever did but l accept the movie is not to everyone's taste!!!
after 9/11 of course. It actually ends with the love that aircraft and being passengers on them can bring to us all, as played out to the accompaniment of "God only knows"...
@@sidpheasant7585 I believe they used the greetings at airports as an example of large numbers of people expressing their affection for one another in one place at the same time, rather than any particular fondness for aircraft beyond their convenience. The are flying, cigar-shaped coffins. But showing a large number of people in a sports stadium kissing, hugging, laughing would not have been the same message, because there the focus is on the achievements on the field and not focused on the person returned to one by the airplane that's just landed and discharged its passengers so that a family can be together again or a friendship renewed.
@@philippapay4352 quite agree, Philippa, but the antidote-to-9/11 aspect is still clear, and indeed Hugh Grant as British PM refers explicitly to the Twin Towers in his voiceover intro to the film and its topic of love...
@@sidpheasant7585 Yes, indeed. He speaks quite specifically of the final calls to loved ones being about love, not hatred or disgruntlements or chores left undone or settling scores. The writer made his point quite clear. I love this movie. The boy falling in love and the pain of it almost finished me off.
Wonderful stuff! I don't have an interest in the movie, but it's this particular score that captures my attention every time I hear it. I put it up there in a special place because of the way the instruments flow together and somehow it just feels so ethereal to experience.
Your first three words are the true ones ... and of course that is a source of wonder. You think the Holy Spirit would ignore a film about the truth of love (even a film that looks a bit crude on the surface)? And indeed a film SPECIFICALLY designed to go on the attack for righteousness following the evil of 9/11? This is the strength and power of the movie ... which of course surrounds a NATIVITY PLAY... See, my friend!
La mejor película y la mejor música como era introducido cada tema en cada situacion !!! Sincronizada a tiempo ...no me canso de escucharla y ver esta maravillosa película debió ser premiada !!! Llorabas ! Te reias! Te emosionabas !!! Te enamorabas! !!! No se que más decir ...!!! Lejos indiscutible !!! La mejor !!!! Soy alekey de Argentina ..
Two sides of the same coin ... founded upon love (actually). The film was made as a kind of antidote to 9/11, and the Holy Spirit was naturally "in on the project"...
El piano tiene una nota tan sencilla y melancólica que hace suspirar el alma, y la parte final con toda la orquesta querer ir adelante de cada segundo. 🎶🌌

All I see is Emma Thompson crying when I hear this piece of beautiful music 😢
One of the most fabulous films ❤
Oh yes, such a touching sad scene 😢❤
Me too, I could cry with her!
The film has many emotional moments and when I hear the crescendo I'm reminded of Jamie & Aurelia or Sam racing through the airport.
Such a beautiful piece of music makes me cry every time
Un capolavoro di film, un capolavoro questa Musica
This always makes me cry. I love it , it touches my heart
This piece just touches my heart in a way I can't quite describe ❤
