This was my father's favorite song. He lost his battle against covid and we played this song in his funeral. Today is Father's day in Brazil and I'm here listening to my father's favorite song and it's impossible not to remember of him now. I miss him more than I could ever explain. I love you dad always and forever

@@carlotaglia Anche io ho vissuto la stessa esperienza, dall'età di 3 anni vivo in Svizzera (ho 53 anni) e sono di origini campane, la mia lei è di origini siciliane. Qui in Svizzera non so per quale motivo ma i napoletani e i siciliani in passato si son mal sopportati. Puoi immaginare il casino che scoppiò quando i miei vennero a sapere che amavo una siciliana, la situazione a casa di lei non era molto diversa. A noi dispiaceva per quella situazione ma non ci facemmo condizionare e tirammo diritto per la nostra strada. Quello che a noi interessava era il nostro amore ed eravamo consapevoli che solo quello ci bastava per essere felici. Dei parenti (certo dispiace) non ci poteva fregar di meno! Comunque quando capirono che per noi il nostro amore veniva prima tutto soprattutto prima di loro, cambiarono atteggiamento (beh non ebbero scelta) e venimmo accettati dai rispettivi suoceri. Tieni duro e fate come noi, mettete il vostro amore prima di tutto, perché l'amore alimenterà la vostra felicità non certo i parenti.

This film Cinema Paradiso is about the beautiful art of letting go and a bittersweet pain in it. It's a story of leaving without shedding a teardrop but rather tucking it away in a secret place for memory to make it more worthy while reminiscing. The story flowed like a poem not having a sad or a happy ending but to watch it once more not letting you go. Legendary Ennio morricone's magical background score and Tornatore's direction made this a masterpiece.. This cinema is made with love for the love of cinema for those who love cinema.

The music of my favorite movie of all time, Cinema Paradiso. A couple of years ago I was fortunate to spend 9 glorious days in Sicily. I was able to visit the beautiful seaside town of Cefalù, where some of the scenes of the movie were filmed. As I walked around the town, I put on my headphones and listened to this music. Tears came rushing down my cheeks as I reminisced about the poignant scenes in that movie. I will never forget that exprerience. Once this coronavirus thing is over, I would love to go back to beloved Sicily.

It's true, Sicily it's the birthland of Mafia and a difficult place to live and to raise your children, but it is also the land of the bravest and purest Mafia's enemies you will ever heard of. Just look at the amazing life and atrocious death of two great sicilians like the Judge Giovanni Falcone and his best friend, Mr. Paolo Borsellino. They knew exactly what they weredoing, they had several warnings and even bombs placed right under their houses, but they've never quit or surrender; in fact, mr. Paolo Borsellino knew even exactly how much explosive was entering Palermo to kill him, but instead of hiding he just kept fighting on until the very last second. Their deaths brought millions of usually frightened and indifferent Sicilians out on the streets, finally protesting and demanding for a change and marked the biggest loss in Mafia's history.

I hope you watched the 173min original version - later released as the 'Director's Cut'/'New Version' in 2002, but it was actually the very first version shown. If you watch the 124min butchered version you lose the 49mins that shows the whole point of the film! The point of the film is that the projectionist wanted his assistant to have an unspoilt fairytale romance as seen in movies - that's completely removed in the edited version, and thus completely misses the whole point of the story!

Siempre vuelvo a Italia porque quiero seguir cerca de él aunque haya partido ( luego tuvo una gran vida en Argentina dónde fundó su fábrica) Ahora lo necesito más que nunca porque soy doctora, lo extraño y tengo mi vida en Buenos Aires pero la Pandemia me impide volver. Solo esto me hace estar un poco más cerca de él. Siento que al final de su vida, no se supo cuánto lo quería.

Esta es la música de mi vida, la música que hace que broten lágrimas de emoción cada vez que la escucho, la música que me rememora mi infancia la cual añoro y adoro a partes iguales, la música que me hace recordar a mis seres queridos, la música más bella que un ser humano puede escuchar.
