* Legendary Pokemon will not appear in this video. That will be another part.
* Pokemon that appear in this video are only ones that were new to generation 5 and are analyzed only by how they performed during this generation.

So let me get this straight:
Excadrill, Haxorus, Jellicent, Reuniclus, Chandelure and Bisharp are all some of the most powerful Unova Pokemon, and all of them can and will appear in the Battle Tree in Sun and Moon.

They still are pretty fucking powerful
Henry Tang But with every new generation, there seems be new Pokémon and new moves to tackle these threats.
Only Wally and Umbreon can stop me.
Because whoever made Wally's pokemon was a RAGING JACKASS.
Theo Chua battle tree is too easy. When i see bishop, brick break or mach punch. Everyone else is too easy. I see them as weakings compared to my own.

@@aizaolarita1656 Unova has great and beautiful music, an intresting story and good characters. And for the trubish argument: Kanto created a pokeball and pokeball upside down Pokémon, three peuple blobs and a magnet. I bet if theses pokémons were G5 they would be mocked too.

Gen 5 mons generally takes so long to evolve, but their sheer amount of stats makes up for it.
Remember when all of these Pokémon were high tier? How many of them are still ou again? Feels bad man

Kenneth Okubo .... They are the minorities. Therefore, the majority dropped down quite a bit.
+HollowChristmas426 actually three (volcorona) but yeah. It feels like the power creeping just gets bigger every day. And really once they fall it takes a miracle for them to come back.

Hydreigon is one of my favourite Pokemon names: a mix of hyrdra, drei (German for three) and dragon, so clever

Sheer heart attack has no weakness
At first, Chandelure seemed a little bit silly but it turned into one of my favourite all-time pokemon. With its high Special attack moves like Flamethrower, Fire Blast and Shadow Ball were super affective.
I think Eelektross should have been on the list because it has no weaknesses, is a great mixed attacker, and can be incorporated in a variety of different ways. I would put it at #8
It has pretty good move coverage too.

It's pretty frail though, and while it has decent Attack and Special Attack, it mostly has to rely on STAB-moves
It is pretty frail. However, to compensate for it being frail, I have a neat moveset for it. (The Moveset is from Black/White and X/Y). Thunderbolt, Flamethrower, Drain Punch, Giga Drain with a Big Root. The Big Root allows you to recover more from HP Drainage moves.

It's very slow too though, and its offensive stats are pretty mediocre compared to most sweepers
I just think it's better than Jellicent. While it has mediocre defenses, they are just as good as Arcanine, Mega Pidgeot, Crobat, Flygon, (Mega) Glalie, Salamence, Beartic, and Golurk. Rarely does it go down in one hit. Plus you can put an Assault Vest on it and it will be extra bulky. That also why I would teach it Giga Drain and Drain Punch, not only for coverage, but also to restore its health. Just my opinion.
Me remembering I had a Hydreigon in my very first Pokémon run: *PRIDE INTENSIFIES*

Oh, boy, it sure was. Better, it IS. I still play the game (Black 2). Ol' Doc Mercy is one of my strongest Pokémon to date.

One could argue that hydreigon is the reason that the fairy type was even considered
I still think fairy type is dumb. There are other type chat adjustments that could be made. Like make ice resistant to Dragon and steel attack strong against it. You'd also need to nerf some steel resistances like they did. Probably dark, ghost and psychic and then make bug resist psychic and dark then poison strong against fighting... There you go I guess. Dragon isn't strong against anything but dragon (at least on the type chart), so making something immune to it definitely seems overkill.

Did you forget that chandelure had shadow tag at the beginning of gen 5? It should have been WAAAAAYYYY higher. It was so damn strong even nintendo decided to nerf it mid gen 5 in black and white 2.
chandelure never had shadow tag, it was a leaked ability that got replaced during development, any chandelure that had shadow tag was 100% hacked in

@@darknessmage3617 yes search in the ruins in the sand after you finish the game and defeat ghetsis it’s also the same place on route where you are hunting down the team plasma advisors one of which is in the sand ruins

I really liked the list, surprisenly as something like this always gets lots of commentary. I started battling competitvely in gen 5 so this one is close to me and I agree for most parts. The only two things I didnt agree with are Reuniclus at all, rather have Darmanitan, and Hydreigon at #1. Exca is too much a beast for that. Though fighting a random Hydreigon, like Ghetsis' one is much scarier then a random excadrill

Hey Mandals I seriously hope you start this series back up again, only 2 regions to go and the series is done. I feel like it's been ages since I've seen you post a vid.I hope to see you posting on YT more soon, I can't wait for an ACTUAL gen 5 remakes because gen 5 had a really good storyline to it. +Icing on the cake is, majority of my fave Pokemon are from Unova native 'dex... (Especially my favorite type which is Bug).
Hydregon is my favorite dragon
Magnezone is basically a legendary in my white 2
He walls almost everything and has 140 SP
access to toxic, flash cannon and volt switch pretty good mon and super underrated

I was a Gen1 kid through and through but Gen5/Unova was great.
Sawsbuck and Hydreigon were the first Pokemon since G1 that I would say I like just as much as my three favourites of Charizard, Nidoking, and Kangaskhan.
I even still use Hydreigon competitively. I have contingencies for Fairy types :P
Please do Gen 6. I imagine, due to the low level of legendaries, it would be just one video.
You can also put Leech Seed on Ferrothorn, making it pretty much invincible to everything except fire.

I love the nickname for Chandelure, Squidward: KRAKATOA
Personally I'm a pretty big fan of Golurk. It gets both No Guard and Dynamic Punch, so as long as you don't get hit too badly you have a base 100 power move and guaranteed confusion. The main issue with it though is that it has a base 55 speed and its defenses are kind of meh.
WHERE IS KROKODILE
One of the few pokemon of gen 5 that i like.
(gen 5, 6 and 7 are my least favourites)
Krookodile is UU and my favorite of 5th gen
Krokodile is nice, but you can roast him with a Mienshao with U turn or any bug type move.

Haxorus is one of my absolute favorite Gen 5 Pokemon, and one of the best designs Gamefreak has come up with IMO. Same with Hydreigon.
Also I ignored Excadrill for the longest time because I thought he was gonna be similar to Steelix? High Physical Defense, and terrible speed. BOY WAS I WRONG! Now I'm slapping myself for not using him sooner!

I remember getting angry at my Chandelure for always sweeping my opponent when I was specifically training a Pokemon other than Chandelure. And for it being over leveled from being overpowered. :P

About Haxorus, Jolly nature is the must go for me and hold it with Power Anklet while raising it. We don't need Special Attack for it, and additional Speed makes it fast and extremely strong as well. Pair it up with Dragon Dance and equipping Life Orb, it will be a sports car bulldozer. If for double tournament, either pair Haxorus with Pokémon that can use Tailwind, or a Pokémon that can use Thunder Wave or Stun Spore(provided that they're fast enough like Zebstrika or Whimsicott), Haxorus will be absolutely insane.

Chandelure is damn strong! I think, it has to be Higher than #9. Even though The Others being mentioned are Very damn strong...

I would have put Serperior in this list. If it has its hidden ability (contrary) and use leaf storm to boost your special attack, you're sorted. But if serperior doesn't have its hidden ability, it can still cause problems with coil

When I have to battle Ghetitis, he beat me three times until I evolved my mienfoo to Mienshao
It was like five times for me. I didn't know Mienshao was such a glass cannon until i evolved it.
He was so easy, my Haxorous Swept his whole team
Trainer SP Ghetsis was a surprise to say the least, but I was so over-leveled by the time I got to him that it wasn't too horrible of a challenge.

Gen 5 would probably be my favourite Gen if it was just one game with Black's story and black 2's after game and special features, although Golurk is my 3rd favourite Pokemon.

Chandelure is in my top 10 favorite bw okemon. he helped me out in my playthrough so much an to boot had a timid nature.
Finally, someone who appreciates Gen 5. it's nice to see a Gen 5 video that isn't satirical about it
You forgot Escavalier, as long as there's not a Fire type nearby with it's high attack and defense it can shred anything.
I had one with Swords dance, Iron defense, X-Scissor and Ironhead.
When I used this pokémon I wasn't disappointed.
