If you make a Part 2 it would be a good idea talking about the Embedded Tower that's in HGSS that contains Groudon/Kyogre but still after capturing both of the Legendaries in HGSS we have to show Professor Oak the Groudon and Kyogre we capture to get the jade orb so we can capture Rayquaza in the Embedded Tower.

I remember 9 year old me just wandering around post pearl game, exploring a random cave I just found, finding Giratina sitting there and freaking out really bad. Called my older brother to come look lol

Lol I needed my friend to tell me where to go to find giratina in platinum as I was kinda confused of where to go in general found it more or less on my own in pearl/diamond though
After cathing it u would get some type of ball which can change giratina's form

I still have my level 1 modest Dialga, no level ups until we get DP remakes. That way I can have a grand adventure with my baby dialga exploring the remakes together
edit: I KNOW ABOUT THE REMAKES EVERYONE. Im going in with my nuzlocke playthrough first, picking shining pearl (Piplup starter) and then on an alternative file I will do a solo run with baby dialga AFTER my 3DS is fixed if it hasn't by the time the remake came out.

Gen 4 was my favourite. I didn’t have a computer and had no access to serebii, so once I got the national dex, I see a place called spring path open up, go in and have no idea what’s going on. Run around for a while then all of a sudden this wall of a monster is just there... no mention of it or anything, not knowing what it is. It actually felt legendary.
I had the exact same feeling. I didn't expect to find something like that out of nowhere

I had a friend with a modded R4 card so I got 2 Arceus that way
to bad nintendo/gamefreak doesn't actually make cool events like these anymore . hopefully they will actually put more effort in the next games but it doesn't seem likely cause they like cash grabbing more than fans nowadays

@Steven Turner Dang. I've started to buy some of the cheaper new games (Ultra Sun, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Moon) and I'm feeling somewhat grateful they weren't included. Missing an entire event from a decade ago is an experience that's locked behind time unless you cheat, which is a huge struggle for me with the Gen 4 games. Now, I'm just missing some slightly different Pokemon that aren't necessary to feel complete in my experience.
@Steven Turner You know what? I absolutely LOVED being able to explore the world and find these legendary Pokemon. Now, there's hardly anything that you need to actually do to get them. I didn't mind the Ultraspace thing, because you did have to do just a little bit of work to get the Pokemon. But yes, it's not anywhere near as special now.
I know some people complain about legendaries even existing, but I think each one of them has the potential to have a really cool story or a quest to get them. Add a bit more lore to the games, people would LOVE that!

I think the Regi's underwater caverns were an interesting "secret" zone that could have been in the video
I remember finding Giratina in Pearl after going through the cave and seeing it standing menacingly freaked me out.

N Pokemon diamond there is a place you can glitch to and it's called "mystery zone"
In pokemon black/ white you could go to some cave and when it's winter you could find kyurem i believe

@@nightmareflux4564 yes the cave close to victory road. You can also catch deoxys if u run around abit u may be able to get to the cave inside the other cave then go forward then u wil see kyurem :^)
I miss the side quests that you unlocked to find and catch the Pokémon as opposed to simply receiving it as a gift
One small detail you missed for the Nameless Cavern. You have to have 3 pokemon with max friendship in order to access it while soaring.
I actually went to Mirage island in Ruby. I was randomly surfing and I was pretty sure an island shouldn't have been there
Going to be honest. Finding Giratina in Pearl for the first time freaked me out. I wasn't even looking for it ( I got lost!)

When x came out I explored a random cave/ mine and found Zygarde ( I thought I was one of the first people to find him) I was really excited cause every game had the mystery 3rd legendary Pokémon and he was in the shape of a z so I got extra excited cause I unknowingly found the basis for Pokémon Z

Actually caught geratina randomly in the cave after not catching geratina back in the destortion world. Was so happy back then when I found it randomly
I remember when my friends and I found giratina and when we found out that it had another form and for some reason we thought if we caught it at midnight it would be in origin form lol edit: this was before platinum was even a thing

Will never forget the day I accidentally found Giratina!! Was just doing my thing when i suddenly noticed that little tree and was like??? How could I not seen this before? really got spooked when I finally saw Giratina in the cave
I honestly though the Sinjoh Ruins event was a dream I had when I was little. Then I found a video of it a few years ago.
I went to mirage island as a kid . Never knew it was that rare to witness.
I wouldn’t really call event area secret areas, they were pretty well known, you just couldn’t get to them without going to the event or in some mixing records
Except the hall of origin since it was supposed to be an event but it was never distributed making it an actual secret area

I always wished they did more with some of the secret places. Or hopefully they do eventually because they have so much potential for legendaries and lore
I think once i did come upon to mirage island on my saphire when i was trying to go from sootopolis to pacifilog town, but i ignored it,thinking i would come later, i thought for the story i needed to go the pacifilog town. Well i was young back then and didnt know much about all this. And i think got pokerus once, but resetted, because the nurse at the pokemon league showed a text different than then the usual, and tried to speak again but then it showed the regular text. I thought maybe it was something important and had something to do with my "battery run dry" thing of the cartridges and resetted without saving to see if could see the same text, but nope.

@@RuffledRowlit I'm not sure but what i remember is that it was like before i battled Kyogre and before i accessed to Pacifilog town (whatever it is called xD). Well now we can access to the mirage island with rng manipulation if we begin a new game with the battery dry in RSE. I saw people on youtube how they do, but its insane the way that these information got unfold with time.
I got Mirage Island a few separate times on the same Ruby cartridge but now that cartridge has now dried out and the internal clock settings don’t work😥

I caught Pokerus in Gold, Ruby, and Diamond. I actually believed that Pokerus was just something you run into at some point in the game, not a one in whatever chance. I remember Gold's like it was yesterday (and this was back when it was the latest game): I was hunting the Legendary Beasts, specifically Entei at the time. I just caught him so I thought he did it (he could have but there was also the period of time before I caught him, up until I took them to the Pokemon Center to heal them) that and along with my sister getting it and my friends, I had no reason to believe that it was random.
In Pokemon diamond there is a glitch to get to the mystery zone (yes that exists)
Also I have about 22 giratinas in diamond

Playing platinum for the first time as a kid and reaching distortion world was crazy because that storyline wasn’t in d&p, definitely the best of the 3
When I openend up my (in 2015 or 2016) 7 or 8 year old diamodn save file, I just wanted to walk around in the region again. After a few moments I somehow found the cave with Giratina, I was very surprised because I didn‘t know that I never caught it even tho I know that you always get to catch the special edition legendary in the base games. I didn‘t even know this cave existed and I even got the correct way the first time.
I always thought the weirdest thing was the IRL Photos in Sinjoh

I remember me going to the mirage island on a random start up. I was on my way to get rayquaza and notice the island. Got the berry and made a block with the lichi berry and never knew how rare it was until years later.
When I was a kid playing diamond at night I accidentally solved the puzzle and ran into giratina. His sprite really scared me lol
In Heartgold and Soulsilversome people missed some of the Hoenn pokemons:
Hoenn music wild pokemons, Hoenn starter pokemons, Latias, Latios, Groudon, Kyogar, Ryquazia and Hoenn pokemons in the safari zone.
Which started the whole hoenn confirmed memes
I got to mirage island about three years ago when I was replaying ruby and I thought "damn what are the chances I d find this??""
If you missed out on the arceus event look up: Pokemon void glitch, it lets you get where the event lets you go without the event. This means you can get darkri, shamin, cresselia, and some other stuff but they are the only events you have to use the void glitch for if you missed the event.
When I found Giratina in this ruins was amazing - missed this in the new games... story played but nothing to explore after that :/
I have a little theory that the sign in the faraway island was also created by a cinnabar island scientist.
Anyone else go to mirage island without realising how rare it was xD when I was a kid I think I asked him everyday then like after 2 weeks he could see it :,)

The still could do so much more with mew. Like a complete new region geared to an aztec lore, volcarona making a return, having new legendaries, including a "evil" legendary, flying dragons, having a jungle with exotic plants, lay lines and what not. It also taps in the lore of mew and having priest pokemon that are involved in the mew story. I mean, in the first movie they went to the jungle of guyana and it was never fully extended on as they actually could. And what about the donphan trainer, where was that located?
Maybe ash could crash like the series lost and dial back to oak at some point lololol.
I was thinking of something similar, like a reboot to Gen 1 with Mew and Mewtwo being the focus. You are hired to catch Mew only to discover it was really Team Rocket and they steal Mew from you and try to clone it, with Mewtwo wreaking havoc and being the ultimate bad guy until you catch and win him over.

With an old Action Replay for DS it’s easy to access.
The thing is, it’s hard to find or buy the materials to hack old gba games and access things like Mew on faraway island.
Every single pokemon game i have poured countless hours into exploring everything. Thank you for the recap, i forgot about a couple of these places. Makes me want to start a new adventure on the older games again

Mew is catchable in OG red and blue. They also had an event for Mew back in the silver / gold days. I went to Toys R Us and got one.
Secret zones actually don’t exist at all anymore… they’ve gotten so lazy that the post game consists of filling your Pokédex… that is all
I remember that "Turn Back Cave" fondly. I remember that feeling of seeing Giratina for the first time before Platinum was revealed. The "Sinjoh Ruins" were awsome too! I remember that lvl 1 Giratina I get from that place well!

All these mysteries and hidden points are the "jewels" of pokemon games. Where in the newest Pokemon Scarlet and Violet... We're missing all of that :/ . The only 4 legendaries in there are just hunting for check points (items on the ground).

I remember playing my old Black. I never considered looking online for information about the game, so I was completely blind throughout the whole game and post-game. Good o'l curiosity from your pre-teens.
I found that little piece of geometry that you were able to slip through in the post-game, while I was just aimlessly wandering around, which led me to Kyurem. It freaked me out, I just assumed it was some random static dragon. But the music indicated it was some rare legendary, like Giratina from Diamond/Pearl.
I ran into mirage island once when I was a teenager but frustrated about the wynauts and I was asking, “Why are these guys here??” I’m glad I visited there but wish I took the time to explore a little and get my liechi berry
I remember finding Giratina in Pokemon Diamond. It became a mainstay in my party for the rest of that game.

Yes we did you had to have the event arceus from platinum and just trade it over we weren’t given the Pokémon during the lifespan of the remakes that is why most people didn’t know

Newer Pokemon games are lacking stuffs like this. Mysterious, side quest, hidden secrets and places, which makes this games more special and fun in some cases
Wow I got the Mirage Island just about every time i played Ruby and Emerald. I didn't realize how lucky I was when I was a kid.
There were several legit ways to get the arceus for the sinjoh ruins, I got it as a kid in an nintendo summer event tour called moviplaya.
