  • Today we check out another house for sale in North Thailand (Kamphaeng Phet). This is the cheapest 3 bedroom we’ve viewed, so we’ll see if it can take the trophy for best 3 bedroom of 2021. I also take a look at a banana market and pick up a couple of shrubs for the garden. Useful links below.

Right choice - wasn’t keen on today’s 3 bed, it was basically 3 bedrooms off a hallway. Good plant shop. Yeah, not looking good, although we wish it was only 70k a day here been touching 120k per day - and likely to jump after Xmas takes its toll. Take care man 😎👍🏻🙏

So far I understand as a foreigner not allowed to buy a house in Thailand, is that right? How about apartment? or any kind of property can not buy as a foreigner?

Comparing this to a house that is being built for me on my wife's property in Issaan, the actual cost of this house would be around 700,000 to 800,000 baht or less. My worker fees per day is 300 to 400 baht. I do not know what the cost of the land is that this house is sitting on, but it looks to be a little bit too expensive for me. I wanted my wall outlets to be near the ground but they installed them high anyway. During the last flood here, I can understand why.

    • @jamesabroad8589

It's funny that about the plug sockets. When we built on the farm, I specifically asked for them all to be about 1.40 metres above the floor as I find they are often difficult to reach and often end up behind furniture otherwise. I have definitely NOT regretted that decision. Hope the festive season has been good so far 👍🎅🙏

Looks like the kitchen may have water problems along the floor before it's even done.
House doesn't look like it's sitting square within the boundary/property walls. The walk looks like it gets narrower towards the back of the house....could have been camera making it look that way but I tried to find that in the rest of the vid but it doesn't show so it's has me thinking it's just not sitting square....it's only a few inches (5-10cm) but whats off,the house or the boundary wall,if it's the house is the rest of the house out of square?
I used to help my stepfather that has done tile, marble, granite, work 40+ yrs and some of them the materials alone were over $1,000,000...the floor is ok.It could have been better,I see high and low corners on the marble tiles, couldn't tell if the grout lines were uniform or if the tiles were squared to the room....which is sometimes very hard if the room is out of square....done a good many homes where the builders must been drunk when building and they're a PITA to do anything, not just tile,marble,etc..
What was with the 2nd story, didn't see (unless I missed it) a way up to it even if it's only used as an attic.

From the outside, you would believe we are talking about a 2 storey house. The layout, on the other side, is not to write home about. Finally, you would believe you get 3 bedrooms on a corridor. One of the walls (and of the bedrooms) should go, in order to have a real living quarter.

2 for the price of 1, a house and a market walk 😁. Plugs and space are important but knowing how near you are to a 7 is a selling point too😂 Can't live without a 7 (old Thai proverb). I think you're right about the "Nordic" house but this one's not yet finished and maybe the developer or agent might see this vid and incorporate your suggestions somehow. Mate that snake looks well hard, best keep well away from that thing unless you're real hungry for a snake curry (lots of good eating on a snake). Thanks for your work in 2021 and here's wishing you a fantastic 2022 and may your channel(s) continue to grow and become all that you have wished for.

It seems at first sight to be a great deal however you will have to live with those horrendous exterior colours. Looks like something which was knocked up over the weekend. Cheap isn’t always good. You would need a good lawyer to scrutinise things.
