DH-132B Shell to FAST SF Helmet Tutorial

- Turn a DH-132B CVC shell into a FAST SF Helmet.
You can usually find these shells on eBay for around $50 and sometimes in old military surplus stores for even cheaper.
Use a the fma-sf-super-high-cut-helmet-type-b helmet for parts:

The M/L FMA insert fits perfectly in the S/M shell.
Transfer everything over to the shell and now you have an awesome ballistic helmet. Congrats you just saved yourself over $2,000.

Really clean conversion dude, you convinced me to do my own. One question regarding the rail placement, though: did you experience any fitment issues with the earpro, or do they fit relatively well?
Where did you get that helmet liner from? Is that also FMA?
Yeah on eBay ,it had specialty plastic prod of PA it looked like they took off the gentex sticker and replaced it with theirs
Actually the gentex shells are the older contract, while specialty plastics is the newer one, same quality, same specs, just a new maker for the army.

Most FAST covers *should* work, Ur Tactical has one that I've been told works pretty good.
Dose anyone know if these are these bulletproof ?
We tested it at the range. Video in the works. It stopped both 9mm FMJ rounds from about 10 ft away. 5.56 and .308 went right through it. So it’s basically IIIA rated.

@@Skankhunt556 Depending on which shell you get, this is because some are built with kevlar, and some are built with fiberglass.

Question: Are you stating that either the MED or LG FMA helmet will work as a parts donor to the DH-132B S/M shell? FMA doesn't have a M/L option, they seem to only a M or L option. So its one or the other, not a combination...
what ever size YOU use, will fit in there. i measured my head and fell into the L option. fits like a charm
basically, the M and L are the same shape outwardly...the shape changes inward, if that makes any sense.

I wear com helmets like these at work they are only to stop fragmentation and like small pistol rounds MAYBEEE IF THAT
