This game most accurately captures the power of wielding the 40k arsenal. The bolter kills normal humans in 1-2 shots and the meltagun is just as powerful as it is in lore or tabletop.
Only if you ignore the fact that these weapons are shown to be capable of killing Greater Unclean Ones and fucking Changers of Ways. I love it but it ain’t lore-friendly
@@N0TYALCI mean Daemons die to standard Astartes bolt rounds. Now Greater Daemons may not like the ones you said, but sustained weapons fire has been shown in lore to weaken, wound or kill any kind of Daemon. Sustained being the important word there, and when you encounter these things it is rare that you won’t be shooting till you’re out of ammo 😵💫
First shot gives enough shock to kill a human but since they were possessed, only the failure of the bodily structure would take one down so yeah, two bullets.

Holy shit. That Volkite cavalier is gorgeous. It all is but whoa. If that's what that thing sounds like, games of 40k are gonna feel a lot different.
Never thought I’d see a grav gun or volkite gun in any game. Happy it’s here.
2:13-I've got to say, I was not expecting a Volkite weapon to be on the list of weapons, considering their rarity in the 41st millennium. But I'm not complaining; far from it, in fact. I'm happy that these things are receiving the attention they deserve, and I hope the new Sternguard Veteran squad that's going to be released with 10th Edition has the option for the Neo-Volkite weapons introduced in 9th.
Not to mention that I always wanted to see how actually worked in action.

Volkite weapons are continuous beam weapons that act like a combination of a Melta Gun and a Flamer. It melts on contact and sets the target alight with a kind of sticky flame that can spread to the surrounding area. It’s a devastating weapon.
From what I understand Warhammer fans rarely get good videogames ( I tried Fire Warrior back in the day and it was weak at best) so they must be pretty keen for this one, it looks awesome

I wish the game told you what the enhancements did
Some are obvious while some are unclear, Boltgun gains more STR and +20 more ammo, Shotgun ricochets, plasma gun also gains more ammo plus better rate of fire, the heavy bolter i think it removes the slowness when firing, never figured out what the vengeance launcher did and havent seen what the others do.

There’s something oddly ironic about using vortex grenades against Chaos Daemons. It must be like an extremely abrupt deportation.
Then we'll send them...to the SUPER WARP!!
Can't tell what is changed with the enhanced versions of the Meltagun and the volkite caliver. Grav cannon is harder to see here, but it turns the gun into a mini blackhole device that pulls enemies in with aoe damage rather than just aoe damage.

I expect all of them can be used in Space Marine 2... For logical reasons, we will be Ultramarines in both, it is natural we get the same arsenal.
The Vengeance grenade launcher, was in fact first introduced in Space Marine 1 and they made it canon afterwards.

What do the unique weapon powerups do? The only one I can figure out from this video is the shotgun getting bouncy bullets.

Bolter power up(ingame its called a Machine Spirit) gives it more damage and a higher mag capacity.
Shotgun power up gives its projectiles ricocheting properties and tightens the spread.
Plasma Gun power up gives it a higher mag capacity and eliminates the self-damage you receive from overheating.
Heavy Bolter power up removes the movement speed penalty you get while firing, which turns it into an ungodly purging machine.
Vengeance Launcher power up increases its power.
Meltagun power up... I actually dont know because I can't find anything on the internet as to what it does. Your guess is as good as mine.
Volkite Caliver power up causes enemies to explode when they get damaged by it.
Grav-Cannon power up... again, I have no idea, since there's nothing on the internet that says what the power up does.

Meltagun looks to fire 5 shots at once instead of three, and I think the grav-cannon pulls in enemies.
I'm surprised they actually put in the volkite. Volkite are rare as hell in current 40k.
What is a volkite you know the Pyro weapon from team fortress 2 the Phlogistinator? Except its got much more power
The volkite is so satisfying.
To those wondering what the enhancements do heres a basic rundown:
Boltgun: gets bigger mags for standard and special ammo as well as a damage buff
Shotgun: more pellets and has the ability to ricochet should the pellets hit a wall
Plasma gun: faster firing rate and no self damage when over charging
Heavy bolter: removes the speed penalty
Vengeance launcher: increases explosive radius
Melta: more spread more damage
Volkite: adds damage over time so when you keep your laser on a high HP target you’ll be doing more damage
Grav cannon: adds black hole effect by pulling targets in the beam
For the boltgun ammo:
Vengeance rounds: armor piercing for power armor targets
Dragon fire: incendiary explosive rounds
Kraken: faster fire rate better accuracy

I didn't even know there was a way to overcharge your plasma rifle shots. I've just been using it as a fire-and-forget solution for one-shotting low-tier fodder from long range.

I think I read in a review that this game is in canon with that game. So not sure about the main canon status but probably at least the two games are in canon with each other.
One of the taunts mentioned Captain Titus so yes it's canon with Space Marine

What does the enhanced melta, volkite, and grav cannon do? I know the rest of the machine spirit bonuses but I'm curious about those.
Meltas are basically giant short range heat ray weapons meant for armor punching the volkite is the same thing as the meltas but more concentrated and meant for space Marine armor and the grav cannon appears to launch a concentrated beam of energy that probably makes the targets gravity so heavy that they get crushed under there own weight

@@Skuttlems in game terms probably just more damage because last I checked in the lore I haven't seen anything like that so it's probably just a game mechanic that gives the weapon more damage
Enhanced volkite makes the enemies continuously explode while the beam is on them. No idea about the rest

A grav cannon....weapon type almost forgotten in marines arsenal on tabletop.

If I remember correctly I found it in one of the first levels but you will also find it in further levels.

Yes they do. They are most often used by scout patrols and boarding teams. They even use heavy "manstopper" shells to do damage to even the toughest armored foes.
Its basically the signature weapon of the deathwatch chapter. Space marines use a much higher caliber than the arbites, who in turn use a much higher caliber than guardsmen use.
I'm guessing that this game will have many expansions, filter cloth.

Not gonna lie, the idea of a Space Marine with a shotgun feels…weird. I always thought they’d prefer a sword or hammer.
Yea Shotguns are quite common weaponry for scout marines not for fully armoured space marine
this shotgun is deathwatch variant, it is for space hulk cleaning for hitting multipple soft targets
one thing i don't like, is the shotgun. 40k shotguns are automatic

Blue armor with red guns was simply the standard color scheme for the Ultramarines in 3rd edition and earlier. Starting with 4th edition they are mostly depicted with black weapons but you still occasionally see depictions with the old color schemes like red, checkerboard patterns, or hazard stripes.
