i love rats so much and ive owned rats for around 3 years now, they are definitely one of the best pets! i will be showing all of my rats in this video! rats love to live in groups as they are extremely social, which is why i have a lot :-)

when you were talking about Coffee and Bean and how nice it was to see them warm up to you after having not that much human interaction before, i can relate to you on such a big level. my first two rats, gunther and alex, had no human interaction before me and were terrified when i brought them home. its been a few months and they’ve gotten so much better with handling and interactions with people. they’ve even learned some tricks! its so rewarding to see them warm up to you, one of the best feelings ever :)
its so nice to see them gain confidence and know that they are loved!!!🥺 peach and pepper were the exact same too, they were so scared when we first got them to the point where they’d bite and draw blood but they love cuddles now!! it’s the most rewarding thing to gain their trust💕

Rats are the most precious animals! I have 4 and I love them with all my heart, they changed my life and make so me happy. Your rat family is adorable and u take such good care of them, they are lucky 🖤🐀

I had about 20 rats till about a year ago. Never knew their were albinos(red eyes) white coloured fur. Taking care of such lots of rats takes a lot of time and attention but was worth it.✌
I ment to say "never knew" about coloured fur rats with white eyes. I thought all albinos had white fur. Did you ever hear rats making a purring sound somewhat like cats make.?

One of my rats has a little slit in her ear! I love it so muchhhh
They are sooo cutee!! My rats have tons of energy so when it's play time they are running through bed there's no sanse that they are going to sleep in my hand or sleep there at all they are now half years oldd!! ❤❤❤🐀🐀🐀

What beautiful girls! 😍. Do you let them all out at once during playtime? I have only ever had 2 rats at one time but I have recently come across 5 rats that need rehomed and was wondering if you found it a lot more chaotic with 5 ha.
thank you! yeah i let them all out at once! it was a lot to get used to and very hectic at first haha but as long as your room is fully rat proof they’ll be fine to all come out together 💕

I'm planning on getting rats soon and have been researching for a while but I'm still kind of confused about their free play time when they leave their cage and play outside of it do you have a video about that.
i dont have a video on this as im not sure how i would film it! i personally just let mine out in my room! you definitely need to rat-proof your room first, so hide/cover any wires, make sure there are no places that they could escape from, nothing that could be dangerous for them etc. it helps if your rats are recall-trained or at least comfortable with you picking them up so i'd suggest with new rats working up to letting them fully free-roam. start with picking them up and getting them used to being held, then let them into an enclosed space with you like a bathtub and continue to pick them up and give them treats. slowly you can increase the space you let them out in! if youre not comfortable letting them roam your whole room, c&c grids are useful for setting up a playpen - but keep in mind this will need to be quite tall as rats can jump high! good luck and hope this helps :)

awww how exciting! i’d suggest that they always have access to dry food, but i would suggest scatter feeding them instead of using a bowl so it gives them more enrichment x

please help, i’m super scared of putting my fingers in front of my rat because they have big teeth and i’m afraid they will really hurt me (not on purpose) i have ferrets and mice and guinea pigs etc but only the rats scare me
aw i’m sure you’ll be fine! rats don’t usually bite, but if they are skittish when you first get them and they do bite, it’s really easy to train them not to! i only had biting issues with a few of my rats, and they learned super quickly not to bite me and i’ve never been bitten since! i’d suggest to not put your fingers through the cage bars in case they mistake you for a treat and you should be fine x

I really want females but since it is a big chance they get tumors I am really overthinking it. Any tips?
it is super common for them to develop tumours as they get older unfortunately :-( a lot of the times the tumours can be removed with surgery though! if you're serious abt getting them try and find a vet that specialises in rats beforehand so you have somewhere to take them, and try and save up some money as surgeries can be expensive! female rats are super sweet though, i love my girls and although it is horrible to go through, i def think the risk is worth it
@@MaddieLeonczek I think the biggest problem is money in this case honestly. My parents are the ones paying and I don't think they would like to spend so much money on surgeries just because I like female rats more. Maybe I should get male ones anyway, it is really sad tho since I already have name ideas for females :(
