For those of you worried about oil dilution but still want a CR-V..here you go! Although it's not as efficient as the Escape or RAV4 hybrid models..it's very well rounded. Also..there are a few features that are standard on the CR-V hybrid at certain trims unlike the regular CR-V..like LED headlights on all trims. What do you think? *Thanks for watching and have an awesome day!*
I wish they updated the infotainment system or offered the cool seats or offered a 360 or front camera or a heads up display or panoramic sunroof or all of the above. The crv already looks great, those features would make it the ultimate
I have a 2013 Civic Hybrid which I got to replace a 2010 Dodge Caliber which was horrible. I absolutely love my Civic, and the hybrid nature is so helpful on my gas budget. That said I know within a few years I want to get a CUV for the higher ride height and all that jazz, so the CR-V was always somewhere in my mind, but since they've added the hybrid model I've almost assuredly settled on it. it may take a few years but hey, that's when I can either afford a new one at the time OR a highly spec'd model of the 2020 or 2021 model year. Either which way this car is very appealing and I can't wait to be able to genuinely consider it. That it appears to average ~4-5 miles per gallon more than even my Civic (I think something is wrong, my average over 17k miles is 34 mpg) is just the icing on top.
Haven’t driven a hybrid, but I’ve driven the gas model. I think it’s a good looking crossover, but the front bumper design leaves room for improvement. The fake wood has got to go though. It’s horribly cheap looking and ruins a decent looking interior. A brushed metal look would look much better. The mpg is a welcome improvement. The gas one I drove had a small tank, so you felt like you were always at the gas station. Great review man!
That new bumper is definitely different lol. Agreed on the fake wood. Our 2004 highlander has fake wood and it looks terrible lol especially as it ages. Small tanks really stink..and they keep getting smaller it seems like 😕. Thanks so much, I appreciate you!
Prime Autotainment I remember the wood in the first gen Highlander. They did offer a silver metallic trim as well I think. Those tanks do get smaller and smaller. We usually take a smaller SUV when we travel to Savannah for work from Charleston, and it seems like we go through at least a half of tank of gas to get there.
Thank you very much! No kidding that’s a real bummer...I should have investigated more if there was more space under the plastic in the cargo area but still!
I definitely will if I can get one! If not then maybe the dealer will let me hang out at night to do one 🤷🏻♂️. They’ve let me do videos there longer than anyone lol
@@MoNoK15 who provides Honda airbags? I prefer Hondas over all other luxury and non-luxury vehicles as well as Acura. I would get a Honda over a Acura as well🤗 #TeamHonda #HondaForLife. Imma MISER!!!!!!!!
Thank you. No, unfortunately I haven’t been able to have one for extended time or in the same surfaces I test others. Sorry! No clue when Honda would let me either 😬
Great review, as usual. As a 5th generation Honda CR-V owner myself, I have been looking forward to this hybrid model for a while. Actually thinking of trading up to one possibly in the near future. Added bonus...no oil dilution issue to deal with 😳LoL. Btw, Please stay safe during this horrible virus Nolan ❤️ Hugs Buddy.
Thank you sir! I really like what Honda did with this Hybrid..and it still has everything else to love about the CR-V minus a bit of cargo space but it’s still spacious! Same goes to you, take care!!
I live in the UK and had test drive a few weeks ago it’s one amazing SUV as I’m new to Honda as I have had Fords for years but this CR-V blew me away and will be placing my order in September as a motabiility customer. It’s a very smooth ride and your nut able to tell when the car toggles between EV & engine. As I could only tell by the graphic on the screen the boot size 497 Litres and plenty big enough for me and I can see why this car sells very well but don’t see that many in the Uk. I love this car it’s truly amazing and can’t wait to take delivery late 2021.
HI, Nolan. Long time no see. I can definitely see why these sell so well. Very handsome and easy to live with. I feel like I'm cheating on my rav by saying that, but I gotta give credit where credit is do. I have no real gripe with this vehicle, other than that push button gear selector. Just not a fan whatsoever. Good review as always.
Thanks for stopping by! Haha I know what you mean...it’s a respectable vehicle and with people concerned about oil dilution in the turbos, this may be a good option. Thank you very much!
I'm happy with mine (also White)! I have 560 miles on it already since last Friday. I have the EX. I think I told you that in a different video. So far I seem to be getting 35-38MPG. I live in the Pocono mountains. It's mostly highway style driving. Some city style, but not a lot where I live. All those features you mentioned, you can get in Europe and I think Canada. It sucks, but they save that stuff for Acura here in the US :(. I also found you can get a 6-speed manual for the regualr CRV. Not sure about the hybrid. My only hope will be that will make this a plug in hybrid next so I can drive more on electric. I will probably get the optional blacked out Touring wheels for mine next year. I did have a question, in your comparison vid on the 2019 and 2020 regular CRV, you said the Honda updated the LED headlights for 2020. What exactly did they do? The European models have these 2 extra round looking modules in the bottom part of the light. I was just curious what the USA got for an update. Excellent review!
Thank you very much! Glad to hear you’re happy with yours! You know what...I was actually wondering what they did to them, because I can’t figure it out. I mentioned it because in Honda’s US press release they said they were updated...but I still don’t know. Possibly better light output or projection beam patterns..not sure!
I was stoked about the hybrid because I was nervous about the oil dilution in the turbo, however I’m not sure I can handle the decreased space and no spare tire. I am stressed trying to pick my next car since I’ll be passing my Accord down to my Daughter this year.
I know what you mean about the spare and space..it’s a bummer. It’s possible you could buy a small spare and just keep it back there or maybe just have it if you’re going on out of town trips, just in case, but still it’s a bummer!
B.S. I bought and drove a 2021 CRV Hybrid and I got 28 mpg.... how is this possible? I paid extra not to get anything close to 40mpg.... Should have bought the gas model.... if you are looking for a hybrid- RAV 4 would be better. Please somebody tell me why I am getting 28 mpg while using my 2021 Hybrid.
Great review Nolan. The CRV hybrid looks fantastic in white. Love the relative quietness of the drive. The dash looks very upmarket too. I suspect that hybrids like this are the way to go and offer drivers real world savings, if not too expensive to buy! :-)
Thank you Andrew! I agree, it fits it well and Honda’s done a good job bringing this into the mix. It seems like Honda’s 1.5 in the CRV here continues to scare people so this is probably a good option, hopefully!
I would definitely rather have a mechanical AWD like the CR-V too, but the RAV4 rear motor is 54 HP/89 lb- ft. Chances of people even needed more than that are basically zero. Really only if they’re off road and have any wheels off the ground then maybe. CRV has 212 HP lol...not sure where you got those numbers
Leo the short guy lol he sure does! Nolan really seems like a good person who is kind and smart yet you’d enjoy a beer and a game with! He would sell tons of cars too I have no doubt!

i guess it is kinda randomly asking but do anyone know of a good place to watch new series online?
@Douglas Abdullah Flixportal :)
@Matias Ali thank you, I signed up and it seems to work :D I really appreciate it !
@Douglas Abdullah You are welcome xD
I wish they updated the infotainment system or offered the cool seats or offered a 360 or front camera or a heads up display or panoramic sunroof or all of the above. The crv already looks great, those features would make it the ultimate
And increase the price too
Don't understand why the CRV doesn't have heated rear seats, but the civic and accord does 🤷♂️
I think these Honda CR-Vs are much better looking in person. They always grab my attention on the road. Great review.
I agree. Thank you Joel!

Im waiting for Honda update the infotainment system and i will buy one
I doubt it will 2021 though. Other countries already came out with the 2021 and all we see is the black edition and a panoramic sunroof 🤷♂️
The problem I have with the hybrid is the absence of spare tyre
Our 2018 Honda CRV AWD easily gets 6.6 litres per 100km on the highway, thats over 42 mpg in imperial Gallons
Great review Nolan! I believe the CR-V shares the Civics chassis which may explain the similar nimble feel. Keep em coming!
Thank you Joshua! Yes for sure, that shared chassis really showed with its driving. I appreciate it!
White looks nice.

Tigerfan 82 yea I don’t get their designers desire to force that plastic wood into the cabin.

We are getting 44 mpg in our Rav 4 hybrid 2019 around town.
That’s great!
Does this crv have the oil dilution issue?
Awesome review. The Rav4 hybrid still edges out this vehicle via awesome options.
Great Review Nolan. I agree with you. This would be my pick for the CR-V.
I am not happy about the lack of a spare tire and no space to place one.
Thank you very much! No kidding that’s a real bummer...I should have investigated more if there was more space under the plastic in the cargo area but still!
Get a VW Tiguan like me!
canonlybeme4life RAV4 has a spare!
This is top in the class 💯
Do a night time video Nolan if you can.

Do you still prefer Honda over the rest vehicle brands?
That drivers seat seems to be already showing signs of wear on the bottom, and it's brand new!
Yikes I didn’t even notice lol. I guess some long term use would let us know for sure!
There aren’t any signs of wear shown in the video. Could it be the design of the seat?
An excellent review.
Brian Petersen thank you very much Brian!
Cool video dude... thank you for the whole information. Nice SUV for Boston....
I'd like to take him for a test drive, meow.
Cool video dude .. thanks
Honda quit with the fake wood in the CRV lol
Gr8 job Nolan
Haha I know it, oh well. Thank ya sir, have a great week 😁👍
Nice video - did you finally get the cabin noise decibel levels for the CRV?
Thank you. No, unfortunately I haven’t been able to have one for extended time or in the same surfaces I test others. Sorry! No clue when Honda would let me either 😬
I have one to test drive now. Didn't know it didn't have a spare tire. Not sure about that...

They saying 35 mpg hwy which is pretty crappy!! And the display is crap too but I still like the look in and out better than the RAV4... comments?!!!
Honda should really put some nice 20 inch rims on the touring.
The RAV4 AWD has a 7HP rear motor and Toyota calls it AWD. The CRV has mechanical AWD that puts 50% of that 250HP to the back. You can do the math.
I would definitely rather have a mechanical AWD like the CR-V too, but the RAV4 rear motor is 54 HP/89 lb- ft. Chances of people even needed more than that are basically zero.
