I personally want the flip because of the aux input as I want it to also be used with my PC for a speaker that way. and apparently there is no cable input on the charge.
I'm not sure why they're being compared. One is clearly bigger, so the box can produce more bass, and the speakers are bigger in the Charge, which can produced more bass and highs. There is no comparison. A bigger box and speakers wins every damn time.
The rubber is a very bad concept because it peels in a short time. They will have to come back to the old concept for the Charge 6 because the speaker doesn't even hold in place anymore.
I have watched countless video comparisons on these two speakers and I’m yet not satisfied.. I know the flip is easy to carry around but size is not the criteria here it’s.. Is it worth buying the charge 5? Is the difference Day and Night? Closing your eyes or sitting away from them can you spontaneously tell them apart.. That’s what I wanna know if it’s not hugely different from each other then I think slightly is not enough to buy the charge
@@adobad5361 Wifi version cuts down on bass for battery life (cuz WiFi uses way more battery). On the OG Charge 5 you can set the equalizer to have more bass but even without it still has more bass than the WiFi version.

The Flip 6 is half the price of the C5 now. Two of them will have better bass, which pulls them closer to the C5, while providing true stereo and being more flexible (you can take out 1 or 2 speakers). OR, for room use, a Flip 6 plus a JBL subwoofer for the price difference will likely sound better than the C5. Not that either of them would be that great, but for the price they are good.
No it is not. The flip 6 is still 130$ everywhere but the Charge 5 is 119 at macys right now. Who would want to spend more on the Flip 6 when its all treble and no bass? I don't understand how anybody thinks that is balanced. The Charge 5 clearly sounds better and I have both.
Markets are different. Flip 6 is 69 to 79 now in the EU, Charge 5 is 139. The latter has more bass indeed, but also a bit more disconnected mids. Depends on what one prefers. Treble is not great on either of them, nor have they any high fidelity to speak of, but they are practical in a lot of situations, the Flip 6 being smaller to carry, the F6 + subwoofer is better in static use than a C5, 2 pcs of F6 have better stereo than C5 and better bass than a single F6, a C5 in turn is a pretty good single package at a good price on your side.
No. If you have the charge 5 in stock firmware. You've noticed that it is way brighter than you thought. Maybe get slightly upgrade to the second update. But out of that Third update to it's latest firmware version with EQ, the highs get nearf alot. Make enough headroom for the EQ.

Guys after 6 years my sony srs xb 30 dead and i immediately bought a jbl flip 6. I can tell you that the sony was way better, the jbl flip 6 has absolutely no bass compared to the sony but if you looking for high hights it sounds good

No 1 is mentioning the most important thing, the jbl equalizer app ! My charge 5 sounds way better with the treble and bass all the way up and midrange in the middle.
I bought the charge 5 from Best Buy not even a week ago and the next day only the Tweeter Work so I have to change it for a new one And now not even a week later Now the mid range doesn't work if anybody knows how to fix it please tell me

The Boombox 3 should definitely be a jump in sound performance. I like the partyboxes but they really doint get me excited but I have to review them soon anyways hopefully my opinion will change 😅

I have multiple top tier Bluetooth speakers. Unfortunately non of them produce enough volume in a open space without draining the battery rapidly and creating distortion. One would have to pay a fortune to purchase a excellent Bluetooth speaker for open space use and that is not what I am willing to do. A couple of weeks ago I purchased the Charge 5 for use at work because my workplace is open space. I received the TT version which was a disappointment. I was pleasantly surprised at its performance. It doesn't have to be turned up to a high degree to get the level of sound desired and because of that the battery doesn't drain rapidly and the quality of sound is passable. The quality of sound is no where near the Flex which I have 2 of or the B&O A1 gen 2 which I also have but it serves its usefulness for which it is intended.
I've had 3 Aiwa Exos 9's.. The reason I've had 3 is because I've given them all away because people love it so much Lol. I'll probably buy another one for myself in the near future, right now I have an Exos 8 for bigger outdoor/party settings and these small JBL's for listening on the go.. In any case, I highly recommend the Exos 9, amazing sound and great battery life with the extended battery, not the standard. (Don't know why they even offer 2 capacities, should just eliminate the standard battery)

All jbl-s do that, pure reason why i can’t be bothered to buy them anymore, but nevertheless, distortion depends on the volume and frequencies being played, should be normal when you’re maxing out the music all the time, however if it’s already distorting at low volumes, get it checked

I retraded for a flip 6 . Charge five had not good treble .Just a little tiny bit more bass.

If you compare especially the last two sound samples, DEFINITELY the Charge 5. More punchier bass and fuller sound.

No, they need the same model, they can only partyboost each other, but not play in stereo mode, u need 2 of the same models to do it.

Usually happens the first few charges. Happened with mine when i got it sounded horrible bit hot better as i broke it in or something
