Thanks Polo, I’ve been seeing clovers start to come up. Wasn’t sure until this point what to hit it with and now I know. I have a cool season lawn and I’m hesitant to do anything until I see reviews and vids like this one. It’s been dry everywhere but I’m still maintaining a healthy deep dark green lawn and would like to continue that.
I am glad that I could help you and stir you in the right direction. We've been super dry here as well, but 99% of that clover is gone 🤣 I had to get it before it got TOO HOT.
@@PoloFieldsLawnService yeah we could use some as well. I'm in the western Piedmont here in NC pretty good chance of rain tomorrow. Hope y'all have some rain too.
Working through some clover as well. Mountain View/Johnathan Green Ultra fescue lawn. Haven’t turned my irrigation on the help with my fungicide applications, but I need to hit the box store Spectricide clover mix before we get hot in VA.
@@PoloFieldsLawnService I remember what you said about over watering I only have the weekends to water my lawn it was bone dry from not getting any water it's slowly coming back.👌✨
You do an excellent job. I just spread some fungicide (propoconazole) on my two really brown areas in the front. I'm hoping it's a fungus and this will take it out. I should do a video on this tomorrow.
Thank you, Magnum Videos. Check to see if any lesions (spots) or discoloration are on the grass blades. This will be a great indication that a fungus is present.
Dude, you are keeping my grass alive. I deeply appreciate you. I put Midnight KGB a few weeks a go. I have germination and cloves. Can I put something down now, or do I need to wait until spring? Thanks!!!
The main thing is for your grass to grow. I'm assuming you're overseeding? If so, let it grow in a little while longer, get at least a couple of mows on that new grass seed, and then put a herbicide on it to get rid of the clovers. If it's a total renovation, apply the same steps. Let it grow. Don't worry about those clovers. The main thing that you don't wanna do is spray too early. Then you will damage your new grass. By the way, your lawn is gonna be on fire in about a month and definitely next spring. I have Midnight Bluegrass in my front lawn as well. It's one of the tried and true, long-standing bluegrass cultivars that is naturally darker than any other grass. Just keep in mind and I speak from experience, IT LOVES WATER..👌🏾
Thank you! I don't have that many clovers, so I have been pulling them up by the roots. Using the chemicals make me a bit nervous, so I try to avoid when possible.
There is no need to be nervous, especially when you're using products from the big box stores. They are more DIY friendly than the professional products, but if you feel comfortable pulling them out and you don't want to use chemicals, I totally understand.

Yep, it's best to take care of it before it gets hot if you can 👌🏾
Short, sweet, and to the point!
That's how a lot of them are about to be now, Chris 👍🏾

When weed spots arent too bad , do the good old pull them from the rut
That could work as well if you don't want to spray anything. I prefer spraying, though
