The B on the shutter speed dial stands for bulb. In the very old days, a photographer would squeeze a rubber bulb (much like a rocket blower) connected by a small air hose to the camera. This would open the shutter, and it would stay open as long as he kept the bulb squeezed. That's why the B stands for Bulb. Of course, nowadays the shutter release would be mechanical or electronic. But the name 'Bulb' stays the same.
Please with Mamiya RZ67 if he can do long exposures (example 4-5 minutes),if if you use the T mode procedure if it blocks the mirror there will be no vibration, it is not necessary to use the T mode and the mirror -p mode together, for 3,4,5 ..minutes if you must always use only the "T" procedure ,correct?Thank you very much!!!
do i have to dial both the shutter speeds on the side of the camera AND the prism finder or can it just work with the prism finder. does the prism finder take a battery?
+Andrew Cohill I haven't touched one so I'm not sure, but the contacts from the RZ do provide 6 volts and 3 volts on several pins. So maybe it will use the battery from the camera but to be honest I don't know. I'm planning to rent one and do a review later on.
Hi, that "shut-down" in B mode sounds like the camera is stopping it'self from over heating the electronics, AKA just like on your home vacuum cleaner or paper shredder, a GOOD thing (just think: do you really want this camera to catch fire??), also you don't mention the threaded hole on the lens, i.e. mirror lock up mode, could you use this feature as well for long exposures??- just like on the RB model.
Hi Andy, I do mention the TN lever in another video. According to the manual the 1 minute shut down is made to stop the camera for draining the battery, it won't really explode or catch fire. Is just part of the safety settings for a normal camera use.
Andrew Cohill 3 minutes exposure is super long. You are using the T-N lever on the lens? The camera can't handle more than 1 min in B mode. Are you using ND filters for that long exposure? How are you measuring your exposure for 3 mins?
I know im randomly asking but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Maxton Jaziel thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Andrew Cohill yeah. The AF Prism finder. There is several versions, yours have speed dials on top? If so all you need to do is put the camera on AEF mode and control the speed with the prism finder.
i don't know how u would like to do it. But if u want i could send u the prism finder for u to review instead of renting one. as long as u take care of it and I get it back. I have a traditional view finder anyway
Andrew Cohill oh I see AEF that setting only works if you have an Auto Exposure Finder (on this video I just have the waist lever finder) so if I do AEF I will get an error.

That sounds interesting.
This was the explanation I needed for long exposure!.thank you.
I'm very happy it helped
thanks so much! yes it does have the same dials for shutter speed. but there's one to the left of it.
+Andrew Cohill 👏🏻 awesome, I really can't wait to try one. Is it heavy?

@Maxton Jaziel it worked and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much you really help me out !
is that a prism finder? Cuz if so. I got one

AND i can't rotate the Polaroid from portrait to landscape with the prism finder on top
+Andrew Cohill Polaroids are square format so it's not meant to be rotated.
y do u not want to go age on ur shutter speed?
Andrew Cohill what do you mean "Go Age"?
what about blocking the mirror before long exposure? thanks!
You can also use that of course.
have you got a video with that function? i am new to this thanks
+Diego Palma the mirror lock up? Yes it's number 19 on this series:
