I was always advised when I had my RB to cover the lens before moving the winder arm to reset the shot. That way if you nudge the camera too hard you don't run the risk of any added blur. I always had a black cap on so would place it over the lens and then pull the arm. I do miss my RB
It's the quirks of old cameras like this that I love but if you’re shooting a long exposure I’m not sure that a little bump really makes a difference to the shot.
Great results. I've been meaning to try some long night exposures with my RB. I'm also a bit confused by the two cable release thing. Is there a reason you can't use the shutter button?
Basically it's because the RB doesn't have a bulb mode. This guy kind of explains it at about 3:40 - th-cam.com/video/5zBoEiMUSVM/w-d-xo.html At the beginning he talks (very briefly) about the double cable release as well. He moves the aperture ring but I found that just moving the shutter lever was easier. It's one of these you need - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Top-Mint-in-Box-Mamiya-Mirror-Up-Double-Cable-Release-RB67-RZ67-from-JAPAN/402299151115?hash=item5daae5e30b:g:1uQAAOSwh9de6uwK
@@AdjBrown Thanks. He fits the cable release to the body and I notice you're fitting it to the lens. It obviously works either way! I'll definitely give it a try.
Worked out pretty well.. I like your photographs
Thanks Carl 👍
Excellent video. ❤
Thank you!
Great video! More film vids like this, keep em coming! I enjoy how you explained your process.
Thanks jazzman, I do have a few more videos in the pipeline but life is just getting in the way at the moment.
I'll get there eventually.
Just saw your channel now, nice picture and composition, but i got confused to choose between your photo result and your very nice Cal.861 Speedy
Thank you, but I think you’ll find it’s a 1965 cal.321 😆
😳😳😳 wow !!
