What tripod head would you recommend for the RZ67 pro ii? Most ball heads look ridiculous with a camera of this size. Almost like it needs more of a video head as it's built more like a cinema camera
You r thinking too much. It doesn't need to be that expensive or bulky, but it does need to be a bit strong. I got mine from Silk, 150-200 dlls the whole thing and its been working fine. I mean is not really for movies so you don't need that smooth pan and tilt. Just something that will stand still and that can tight up the position well. Some cheap tripods will not hold the weight but you don't need something like 800 dlls manfroto or something like that. I show my tripod on many other videos and BTS is not that special.
@@RyuuzakiJulio With your full rig you showed in another video, what's that weigh roughly? Knowing weight capacity would be a good first step. Not a fan of manfrotto. More after something that could last a decade
@@RyuuzakiJulio For me it's less about the pan and tilt options and more about the size of the head base plate. It's quite a long camera, so seeing the camera base plate on a smaller head base plate just looks unstable to me regardless of strength
The camera with the large 180mm lens weights like 6kg. Right now I’m using Velbon Sherpa 645II if that helps. It was just what was on the store when I got it.
Hi Julio- I just received my RZ67 Winder (not version II) presumably for my RZ67 version 1 (the label on the winder just says 'Mamiya RZ67 Winder' only)- I put batteries in, attached it to my RZ67's base, switched the winder's power on and pressed the 'start' button but with the 'M R Lever ' in the 'M' position (with no film in the 120 film back) and even though I hear a winding sound it does not appear to cocking or advancing anything in order to test if the shutter will repeatedly and automatically cock for te next shot..manually hand cranking the cocking kever as per normal only cocks the RZ67 still.. is there something I'm doing wrong to get the winder to work/automatically cock and ready the camera to take continuous shots or do I need to set up a return to the ebay seller The gear on the winder does appear to be lined up with the gear on the base of the RZ67 (after sliding the door away to reveal it on the RZ67's base)..
The start button is basically for when you put new film on the back. It will wind and wind and wind until it reaches first frame. While on the RM lever put it on M mode and just shoot a frame while using the electronics. It should wind for you.
with no film in the 120 film back the lever is in the 'M" position with the power to the winder on but pressing the shutter just gives the orange warning light indicating it still needs cranking manually- the only way to remove the orange warning light is (as usual) to physically hand crank the cocking lever- on pressing the shutter release the shutter does then fire of course after which I hear a winding sound, but I do not think it's doing anything as the only way to fire the shutter again is to manually hand crank the cocking lever again.. are you saying the only way to test the winder is with actual film in the film back (it won't automatically cock the shutter etc without film etc)? Thank you for the DIY mask video- I'll check it out now!
+justinspirational sorry for asking an obvious question. But you did open the Winder Coupler Cover in the bottom of your RZ? Is a little sliding door that when opens shows a gear on the inside? The winder works as soon as you take a shoot.
+Julio Ryuuzaki yes the sliding door to the coupler cover is open...I notice the winding gear on the winder is retracted when unattached to the rz67 though pressing the start button on the winder the gear then protrudes out but isn't fixed there (just the pressure of finger pushing on it can make it retract again so not sure how or if it still engages with the RZ67 ' gear..
