    Ford would never do an Ecoboost V6 mustang because they KNOW it would tick off all the stock Coyote boys when they get their butts handed to them by a V6.

      @@2KCamaroZ28SS To be fair, ford could also just throw a couple baby turbos on the Coyote, have it make like 700hp and charge an extra $20k. Maybe make that the new Raptor and GT engine, use the turbo v6 as the eco boost line, and keep the 4 banger for the regular cars.

Putting a few turbos, playing with the fuel map and timing. They absolutely could do it. Only reason they wont is because of the rnd it would take to get it to follow emissions wouldnt be seen as worth it to them with their new ev mustang line and all the time and money invested in that and their other eco boost engines.
      Edit: but slapping turbos on an older coyote and registering in a non emissions county is always an option 😁

      All the EcoBoost cars have 2 pumps, an electric pump in tank, plus the HPFP on the engine. The next gen EcoBoost (Raptor, etc.) will have auxiliary MPI in addition to the DI though which should be a cool combo. I'm certainly considering adding aux MPI to this one too down the road a little.

    Never seen many ecoboost f150 swaps in a mustang.Its the engine that doesn't sound nearly as mean as it performs.Great torque!I'm sure it's a headache for modern Coyote 5.0 stangs.Not the best sounding but definitely gets the job done.I'd remove the eco badge and make it a sleeper.

      Don't need a big turbo to make 600 hp out of em. The factory turbos are capable of pushing that engine over 700 hp with just tuning and simple bolt ons. Look up 700 hp f150 EcoBoost 5 star tuning. TFL Truck did a video on it.

    • @DCGarage
      @DCGarage 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not cheap, I definitely did it more for the uniqueness and just because this is the car that I wanted. I'd say about 12k for the swap itself and a couple grand more in supporting mods.

    • @Internet_Handles_Are_Dumb
      @Internet_Handles_Are_Dumb 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      DC Garage that figure seems to be the constant when anyone seems to transplant any other motor into a Mustang. I have an early S197 3 valve with full bolt ons that I would like to maybe do a coyote swap later. But it seems cost effective to just work my motor out to where I’d want it. But I’ll say it is cool to have what you want put in your car, especially if it’s unique.

And the re-tune of course. Fun fun fun.

      @Richard Skipper Well, you do know that the 2017 was built and released the end of 2016. That's how manuf. release cars. So yes, they said no more in 2016, but they had already built the first set of 2017's. There are changes between the 16 and 17. I cannot use the 15-16 coil on plugs. My clip is different. It uses the same one as the GT.
