Tried doing it with TWRP 3.0.2-3 and with the same supersu version as you but it didn't work so i reflashed factory.img and then followed your video and used all files that you used and it worked great. I am also on NMF26F, just as you were on this video. thanks again! :)

+Poovaraghan R twrp has some issues with nougat. Igf u missed to reboot after OEM unlocking command or there may be some other reason too. If u can do a reset then install after this twrp. For my case it worked. Take backup before that.

No root now on my 5X, and on 7.1.1 I hardly get 3h of SOT, I'm really dissapointed because of that. On 6.0.1 it was 4h, sometimes 4,5 nearly. I'll root in some days, because I'm busy now, but thanks for the guide!
It updated to 7.1.1 thats how I knew it was unrooted, a pop up in the phone was asking to grant permission to usb debugging that i missed lol it is now rooted thanks.

mine Pixel XL 7.1.1 and I tried for fastboot oem unlock and keep me said Remote device is locked
+Felix O. Sierra Wyatt have u enabled that from settings ? Under developer option. Rooting pixel is different than usual. Check XDA developers forum.
