Grouper, Stingray and Crab! Marina South Night Fishing

Headed down to Marina South and managed to land a beautiful Whitespotted Whipray! We released it as it was still rather small (we are looking for the bigger ones). We also got a juvenile Orange-Spotted Grouper which unfortunately was gut-hooked so we took it home to cook. In a separate trip, we caught a Large-Toothed Flounder as well as a good sized Flower Crab which we took home to steam!

We walked from msp before but its a little far. If I’m not wrong you can walk from Tanjong Pagar too.

Dead/live prawn would be good for daytime. In the day you can try dropping small hooks with cut prawn along the seawall, there are sicklefishes, bream, silver biddy etc. For night time we generally like to use sotong but prawn is good too.

What size hooks do you use?
Size 4 for smaller fish, size 1/0 or 2/0 for bigger fish.
Is that area very rocky?
Nope, the terrain is mostly sand there.

TS should be nearer to tanjong pagar. The place quite ulu, just follow google maps and walk towards the sea. Good luck! 😎

Wasted catching the stingray and let it go, if i was the 1 who caught it would have bring home n cook,
The reason why we let it go is because its still a juvenile (for this species it can grow much bigger) and we believe this is the way to go to ensure sustainable fishing. 👍🏻 We would have taken it home to cook if it was bigger! 😊

Lee Hanjie hmm never tried using net before. I saw some guy using a weird looking fish net but he mostly got small glassfishes only.
@@JivesFishing oic, but not bad, rather than catchin nothing, but seriously ive been seaching for a place to fishin, caused im workin in holland village,
