I've been losing my hair to chemo (life sentence for my lupus) and recently gave in to the fact that my hair is going to be buzzed and so I have a few square silk scarves and then longer scarves like this. I honestly had no idea how to go about tying them properly into a head wrap and this really helped seeing as the last type is one I could see doing every day! Thank you so much!
I love watching your videos! I'm not religious but I think head covering is just so beautiful! And you pull it off great! Thank you so much for sharing!
This was the perfect video. I was recently given a collection of pashminas, and wasn't quite sure what to do with them besides standard scarves, and now I know how to wear them as a tichel! May G-d bless you for helping so many of us improve our abilities with covering our hair.
I very rarely wear this extra layer under my daily wraps - you are right; I wear them for the videos so I can demonstrate the whole wrap without showing my hair. I do, however, sometimes wear a cap with a padded back called a volumizer if I want some extra oomph in the bun part :)
This was very helpful, thank you! I tend to wear lighter, thinner scarbes because the pashminas are so bulky but I will be practicing these. I wore the "bun" style today (not withi a pashmina, but still!). Love the look and it will be one of my "go-to, super-quick" wraps. :)
I think I wore the shirt today that you are wearing in this video. I love your videos BTW! I'm not even Jewish but I still think the tichels are beautiful.
I am so happy to see this using a pashmina, I have many and just use them to cover my head and tuck under my coat for winter. And as a shawl when chilled at home or out. I have watched many how to's by wrapunzel. I am new to the idea of wearing a Tichel. my question you all are so young do older women wear this type of Tichel?
Your video was great. Now I need to try it. My questions are... what is the cap thingy called that you capture your hair in before wrapping the Pashmina? And where can I get it. Also, once your have the scarf on, is it cool or too hot in a hot climate. I would love my hair off my neck and out of my way in the hot months but am worried that having a scarf on my head might be too warm. Thank you! I'm going to go practice now 😄
What are the thin caps/scarves that you always have on for the base of your head scarves? In this episode you have a black one on and in another episode you have a white one on. Do you always wear this extra layer or is it just so you can show the entire scarf/tichel wrap?
Andrea will you please helpme. I have MS and cannot get my right arm up past my shoulder to get one part of the pashmina to the back. It there a way I can pre prepare it so I can just tighten the knot ? Thanks for any help you can give me. Grace

Thank you! I have many pashmina's that I don't get an opportunity to wear. I am seriously considering wearing a tichel not because I'm Jewish, I'm not even tho my ancestry is Ashkenazi but I'm a blonde and I'm really kind of tired of people assuming I'm stupid because of it. Besides that I'm going gray and I don't like having a stripe from not dying my hair every 6 weeks. Again, thank you.
It looks like you cover your ears with most styles. Doesn't that bother you? (I always have to push mine behind my ears, which I feel might be the reason most of my mitpachot fall off if they get too heavy. Thank goodness for velvet headbands!)
I am recovering from a very traumatic birth, please pray that I learn how to wrap fast. I really think I am on the verge of loosing my hair. Both me and my husband are terrified of the idea. We both loved my long thick hair! Now I have to cut it off because in the hospital nobody helped me with my hair and now, 12 days postpartum, I have to cut it. It seems completely impossible to bring it to the state it was before delivery. More than anything right now I need to feel BEAUTIFUL! Please, please pray that Hashem will help me and my husband deal with this!

Very helpful I love these videos because learning and feeling that G-d wants me to cover my hair its still makes me feel beautiful.
You look so pretty in your head scarves and the video is really helpful.

Of course. Deciding to wear one is not age restricted.

"...without looking like you have an extra head" That was so funny!!! Thanks for sharing these : )

It's a volumizer or shaper. Wrapunzel.com has them
Abiyah, you can get pashminas many places, believe it or not, I got two of mine at walgreens!
In the summer I let my ears out, but when it's colder I keep the top half covered. I don't find it bothers me as long as I don't tie it too tight!
