This is exactly what I have been looking for since I lost my hair to chemotherapy. It's beautiful. It's chic. It's easy. Thank you so much! I definitely appreciated your voice instructions while you were filming. Your instructions were very understandable. You shouldn't be hesitant to let us hear your voice. You have a very approachable way about you, which is very endearing.

I ditto the other commenters. This is a great video. Your voice is just fine and music is not needed. As to the content, I needed this. I have fine hair and I love wearing headwraps. I've layered in the past but the way you tied them was new to me. I plan to watch this video several times. Thank you.

I love this video. my hair started thinning several years ago due to chronic health issues, and now I have very little left, so I shaved it down. I miss my long hair I had when I was a young woman. now I can wear my scarves and nobody will know that I am bald underneath! ♡ Bless you and your family, and may your life be full of love and peace. ♡

I cannot thank you enough for this video!!! I had a brain tumour and had to have radiotherapy to my whole brain. That zapped the hair off my head and over two years on, my hair hasn't grown back. My doctors say it never will. I've been wearing scarves for the past couple of years and looking like an obvious cancer patient. This video has literally changed my life!!! I can now give the impression I have hair without the discomfort of a wig! You, my lovely, are a genius!! Anouska from London xx

You are SO right! I really should do both. I was really surprised by how long it turned out, but I guess that's the nature of talking! I think I'll leave the creative wraps to be with music... but ones that discuss basic technique, tips etc., I'll talk. So glad you're enjoying the videos!

Andrea, I have learned so much from you videos and how to tie a head scarf. I love wearing them and as a Christian woman I wear one every day. I went to a gathering last night and the women there (average age 75) loved my scarf so much they asked me to show them how and why I wrap my head. Your videos taught me so well that I was able to show them how to wrap my head without a mirror. Thank you.

I love your wraps especially showing me how I can make it look like I have more hair. I just got a job which I start tomorrow and I am driving medicaid recipients for medical transport and I am Muslim. I usually wear my simple long fully covered one piece hijab....saves time of wrapping and I am not too good at it since I am a convert for only a year. I was looking for ways to modestly cover my hair without having the other one on and I am still wearing long sleeves but I have to wear the company t-shirt. I just don't want to offend anyone, what I mean is if someone has mental health issues I need to think about my safety. I will be wearing a cardigan and wide legged pants. I just want u to know I love your many styles. JazakAllah Khair!

Andrea thank you for the vdo. You were precise and clear and surely taught me a few more things about tying a tichel. Yes, I have very short hair and am encouraged to go for this method as the others suggest to tie old socks stuffed in a lufa, etc. Thank you, it is nice hearing you. Please don't stop.

I think the majority of people forget that the blind in the visually impaired use TH-cam as well. So by you verbally describing what you were doing I was able to follow along. I thank you for this. Please continue describing in detail. It may annoy you a little, it may annoy some of your watchers what is vitally, impaired and important for those who are visually impaired. 8:29

Since school starting for my soon I was so worried on how I am going to do my hijab ( since I am Muslim) I mean, I personally don't care what people think of me but there was that voice just whispering what are you going to do! But thank god! I have found you and you have saved me 😩✨ thank soo much

    Hi Andrea,
thank you for the video. it was nice to hear you talking:) but I still prefer the videos with music, your music choice and your charming way just make the video special. and yes, I LOVE the music:) anyway, if you give tips or some details on technique, it is good to hear it explained from you. because even the "small" things (like which side of a tichel to place underneath the other) make the difference!

I have thin hair and what you said really spoke to me emotionally as well as being practical and informative.

  • @ElianaTali
    @ElianaTali 12 ปีที่แล้ว

I live in Texas and have to deal with major heat index; so there aren't many places that carry light weight 3/4 sleeve shirts. What I have used in a pinch, that has proven "cooler" as well, are basic footless leggings. At first I experimented around with an old pair, so that I could figure out where best to cut them. It is different for everyone, but they come in very handy for layering just my arms - which isn't as hot on the body. I hope that helps some.

I love this little trick by Andrea and more so I'm happy that it gave ideas to cancer patients - all my best wishes for a quick and complete recovery!! There's just this little voice inside me which asks: isn't this little cute trick defying the purpose of covering our hair? After all it is a sign of modesty and not to attract the gaze and desire of men ... yet we still do everything to achieve just that ...?? This is not in line with Halacha and the teachings of our sages ... or is it? LOL - but you look really nice, Andrea!

This tutorial was simply wonderful; very well organized and explained. Although nice music is wonderful, it could be distracting for some people trying to focus and concentrate while trying to learn something new. We must, therefore, infer this is why music is not allowed in classrooms, lol!! So, my opinion is to keep the music out, or at a very low volume in the distant background. Your voice should be the main sound. Thank you for sharing your great talent and good taste dear.

Thank you for the videos, they are so informative. I especially enjoyed the one when you spoke how covering your hair is so important to you as a married woman. I can relate although I am not Jewish but Christian :) I have been widowed 10 years and have come to the place where I want to radically change my wardrobe and covering my hair is included ... I believe this desire comes from my intent to be more real in living out my faith. I believe you are teaching women something very important for an understanding of our dignity as creatures of our Loving Creator!

I believe it is not being showy. on the contrary it shows your being humble and obedient. showing your hair the beauty of a woman would be showy. for me as a Christian it keeps me humble and not so show off exposing my hair in public.

Norma C.S. But isn't't the woman's hair her glory........I am just asking because ive read the bible in Corinthians 11 an it does say when a women prays or prophesys she's to cover her head...That seems to be a commandment which i am praying about as we should all things when truth is revealed.I have seen some women say they have went fulltime.I think that's lovely. But don't see where its commanded by the most high but if a women feels closer or humble i guess it wouldnt matter...What are your thoughts sister?

Great video! I personally think you should do both types of videos! I loved this talking one because I learned SO much hearing you explain things. But I also love the music ones because they are much shorter videos and are great to watch quickly right before I tie my scarf as a refresher on what to do. You know how there are "sing-along" videos? Well, your musical videos are like "scarf-along" videos! Perhaps you should make two series of videos, Scarf-Alongs and Instructionals with voice!

Thanks for this video!!! I've been covering since last year November and I'm always looking for new styles. Thanks for all the ideas and for having such a sweet spirit about it. BTW, do you have suggestions for specific places to find 3/4 sleeve shirts or long sleeve shirts for layering? Be blessed!

Hi again. I live in South FL and I've been mostly checking thrift stores. I've had a hard time finding below-elbow length sleeves in regular stores. Do you know of any online stores? Todah!!!

I have a question. Do the volumizer comes in sizes. I cannot leave my head in the volumizer the whole day without a bad headache. Any suggestions? Ellen Hope

I love your voice Andrea, because your Holy Spirit shines through. Isn’t THAT really what we are all attracted to? God makes YOU beautiful with a quiet and gentle spirit and we think a scarf will help us, but it is YOU who helps us WANT to get closer to Hashem. His Spirit calls out to ours through you. You are blessed and “His Banner over you is LOVE.” (Song of Solomon or Songs)

You do not have to feel weird about your voice. Your voice sounds good and you have no reason to feel ashamed of it . Perhaps someone shamed your voice in the past that has made you feel subconsciously about it.( Someone did that to me and I thought that was very cruel of that person .) I took a sign language class in the Fall of 2015. Somehow it worked a little miracle for me. When I worked at a Walmart, I spoke little and I was always excited to speak with the customers who were deaf or hearing impaired. This made me feel good about myself because afterwards the customers who came next told me “ That was amazing that you could speak to that person with your hands.” I said.” Thank you, it’s Sign language and it’s very easy to learn.” No one paid any attention to the sound of my voice . So, sister, we can all make a joyful noise unto the Lord and feel good about ourselves because we have a voice. ... In Gods 💗

I enjoy your tutorials very much :) I grew up in New York and always thought the women in their scarves so elegant and beautiful...My hair is falling out due to an illness my doctors can't figure out and I am wearing scarves to make myself feel pretty again...I do have a question: Is it acceptable to show bangs in a tichel? I want to make sure when I do these wraps that I don't inadvertently cause insult to women who do them for cultural reasons :)

Thank you for showing this. I'm in chemotherapy now and have lost all my hair. I've used some of your tying techniques but they looked so flat....until now that is. I'm going to try this in the morning. Thank you again!!
