YES! The Chicago Sound/artist too (Curtis Mayfield, Jerry Butler, The Impressions, Sam Cooke, Lou Rawls, Gene Chandler, Major Lance, The Staple Singers, Quincy Jones, Minnie Riperton, The Emotions, EWF (Maurice, Verdine & Fred White), The Chi-Lites, The Dells, The Five Stairsteps, Rufus & Chaka Khan and these are just some of the ones from the 60"s & 70"s; not to mention all the Blues singers. Detroit (Motown Sound), the Philly Sound and the Chicago Sound are all so unique but they ALL spun great artist. We are so blessed to have had all these great artist bestowed upon our ears, eyes and heart.

WORDS CANNOT BEGIN TO EXPRESS HOW LONG I'VE WAITED TO SEE THIS CLIP AGAIN. I saw it the day it aired and I never forgot that he wore hot pants. The only other male act that wore hot pants at the time - aside from the infamous pimped out early Soul Train Al Green clip, complete with buccaneer boots - was...you ready? SMOKEY ROBINSON & THE MIRACLES on their farewell tour with Smokey! But again..whatever happened to Johnny Williams? Does anyone know? One slice of funk and he fell off the face of the earth! Lord have mercy but what a slice he left behind! Somebody give me an update on this brother!

Johnny certainly knows how to capture an audience and he does so with such gusto.
This song lends itself fully to a jamming session. They’re all having a great time and he’s providing what they’re craving for a ‘Party Atmosphere.’

There are some wrong lyrics printed here. Trust me , believe me - I've been listening to this song since I first purchased the 45 and and I play it EVERY day on TH-cam. Aside from Bobby Rush's "DO THE DO" and Archie Bell and the Drells, "STRATEGY" - "Slow Motion" is the funkiest thing ever released by Philly In'tl. They usually had the Bobby Martin power glide approach to their music - but these three records just stank with pure funk!
CORRECT LYRICS: First verse:'" ...your good living is JUST too good to waste..."
CORRECT LYRICS: Second verse: "...baby when you out your lips on mine, don't JERK 'em back too fast..."
I LOVE Y'ALL! I used to fill out those cards that were in every Philly int'l album released and I'd mail them back in. They were about unity and community.
