Lyrics:
Ah, ah, ah, na, na, na, na, na, na, na, na
Ohhh, oh, oooh, oh, oh, oooh, oh, oh, oh
Get it on, get it on
Get it on, get it on, get it on
Get it on, yeah
Ohhh, oh, oooh, oh, oh, oooh, oh, oh, oh
I love music
Any kind of music
I love music
Just as long as it's grooving
Makes me laugh, makes me smile all the while
Whenever I'm with you, girl
While we dance, make romance
I'm enchanted by the things that you do
Oooh, oooh, oooh. Aw, aw, aw, aw, aw
Ohhh, oh, oooh, oh, oh, oooh, oh, oh, oh
The choreography and the sangin'! 🙌🏾
Legends!
These cats are legendary, the mighty mighty Ojays

Written by Gamble and Huff, very great underrated producers. My all time favorite song by the Ojays. Had forgot about it years ago but watching Carlitos Way got me back listening to it again.
Ojays

Played this constantly in 76, one day my mother came home from shopping and told me she accidentally stepped on the 45 whilst cleaning my bedroom and broke the single, she went out and bought me another copy, and I still have it (we are now in August 2023) ❤️
Wow,,,yeah,,,I heard it in the 70s as a teenager...at the MCC GROUNDS here in Belize city...watching football !!
Thank you for sharing a wonderful story!
Why didnt you just download it online? Lol
Awesome mamma!!
Still leave my records on the ground
thanks for those days "soul Day" !!!!!
Man these were some sangin' and dancing men. They are currently doing their retirement tour!!! Don't leave us guys!! At least we have TH-cam to help us to continue to reminisce for the rest of our days!! I Love you!!!
Saturdays in the seventies watching Soul Train was everything.
Yes!! Exactly~
Yep...me too. Me and my 3 siblings ages 7, 10 , and 12 all dancing in front of the TV trying to mimic the dancers. My parents got a kick out of it too. I miss the 70's :(
Dick Clark also! Soul train was on fire! In 74 I saw Temptations, the Spinners,Ricky Nelson perform in Florida. They were fantastic! Never forget there colorful outfits that matched each other. These guys have the soul and the dance moves.Love the O'Jays! 70-80s music was great!
Saturdays in the 70s, Soul Train and Bandstand!!! Dancin' around the family room amd didn't leave the house until they over. Great shows, great times!!!! ✌❤
Amen, Bro. 😎🤌✊✌️ class of: 79' "R" 🙏

One ot the world greatest 💪glad to know they are still alive ,so many have passed on...
oh yeah!,,,, the 70”s were the bomb
Bomb 💣 AF! I’m soooo lucky!
A big thank you to Tony Cornelius, Philadelphia International and everybody behind the scenes who are restoring these classic performances!
NO modern day artist or group can even reach the ankles of the 70s Soul Singers. I am glad I witnessed those days. Hop on the Soul Train!
Such a talented group of musicians..
I'm 69 now. Young, single and free back then. Can't beat it. No cares, no worries, and no problems!
you got that right
Great time ! breaks my heart how screwed up America has become 😢
I was born in 1988 and I listen to this kind of music. There’s a nostalgia to it … kinda feel like things used to be so much better and now everything sucks
I'm loving it at 69
I saw nothing this spectacular at the Grammys 2024.
If you really listen, this is an exceptionally good song. Nothing raunchy, vulgar or anything even remotely offensive. Thanks, fellas!
I Love 💕 Music
True professionals
Age is indeed a number
I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Otis Williams, Ron Tyson, and Terry Weeks, Harry McGilberry Jr (rest in peace) and Bo Henderson a few times. So kind and gracious. I’ll never forget the privilege I had. 😊
it never gets old philly soul
Brilliant trio love the o,jays love soul train don Cornelius thank you also the 6:40 soul train uk superb thanks for the memories 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇬🇧🇺🇸🙏♥️♥️
Holy shit. I don't ever find music this good anymore
but great music was everywhere in the 60's, 70's n 80s
Can we please give it up to the great choreographer Cholly Atkins! He had The Ojay’s on point with the steps! Eddie, Walter & Sammy always make it do what it do! Respect kings!🤴🏽🤴🏽🤴🏽👏🎶❤️💯
A live performance without lipsyncing on Soul Train was EXTREMELY unusual happening! And they sound excellent.
Forever a classic 🎉
The fact they weren't singing over the track like usual on soul train. You can hear those raw vocals!!! Real talent❤️
The fashion was 💯
Today is Walter Williams 80rh birthday!!! He still killing this song today and still looking good doing it at 80 years old!!!Happy birthday sir you make 80 look good!!❤🎉🎶💃🏽😍🎼
A very rare live vocal on Soul Train singing over a backing track and prerecorded backing vocals. The O'Jays at their peak. For me this is one of the greatest dance records of the 70s- it was No1 on the Billboard Disco Chart longer than any other record in the history of the chart. ICONIC!
Right!!!?? Extremely rare!!
This song almost always played when the Disco doors opened and the dance floor filled up almost instantly! Times of best music and greatest artist'!
you cant beat thea sound of Philly
The vibe , The outfits , The AFROS 💯
Some of the baddest cats there ever was- The O’ Jays. I was lucky enough to catch them live one time
Music like this here, we will never have again.
@@juniorvazquez9000 ~Yes from the very, very best music in the world with the O’Jays, I Love Music . Then it all went down hill to low life total sh!t with diarrhea c’RAP’ trash talk chanting that is way, way over and over repeating with no heart & soul!
Truly. Great entertainers!
I would rather catch the guys on soul train
I SAW THEM TWICE BACK IN THE 70'S THEY LIT THE HOUSE ON FIRE......PURE TALENT !!!!!!!!!
Music Is The Healing Force Of The World. Well Said O'JAYS
❤❤ for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son whosoever believe in him should not parrish
But have ever lasting life ❣️
The Bible says
There is no life to the sinner
Jesus Christ said
The sinner is under the laws of sin and death
Someone please make a movie about one of the best soul trio of all time.
Listening to this on September 6th, 2024, it still hits on the same level as when it was released. The Choreography and singing are a complete package!
Loved this so much , went out and got the extended version ....twice the joy ❤
These guys jammed. We stocked groceries at night with them, the Spinners, Barry White, Marvin Gaye , on and on . Great era to be a high schooler anyway, but especially in Central Texas . We all got along better as nation back then. the music I believe was a large part of that. Sure we had our differences , but the country wasn't full of people with no regard for life , Gun toting cowards and thugs. Thanks for posting this.
Oh and that dancing..was so on serious Point!❤🎉❤❤❤❤ 💞 Love me some Ojays!!❤🎉❤❤❤
As a young kid in england i loved this song, still do in 2023😊
Ive always heard that American Soul was an extremely huge hit in the uk during the 60s and 70s
I love music music 🎵🎶 is my favorite and then come all the rest ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
There's something about this song, i cant pinpoint it the lead vocals, the harmonies, the musical arrangement, the energy, the smoothness, the happiness all superb.
Watch them on Darryl’s House! They are Amazing!
CHARLIE ATKINS IS A BAD MAN..........THEM STEPS HE PUT TOGETHER FOR THEM........AMAZING FOR THE TIME.
This is when you had to have the Talent and the Goods to make Records. This is magic before your very eyes. The legendary O'Jays. ❤️
Dancing and singing at the same time is really hard work.
This is a great example of both.
The professional O' Jay's xxxx
Thank God for TH-cam and the contributions!!!!!
Happy Birthday to Eddie Levert, longtime member and co-lead singer of the legendary O'Jays, born June 16th, 1942. On June 16, 2024 he celebrated his 82nd birthday. By any measure, the O'Jays are one of the most important Soul Music groups of all-time. Whether delivering funky dance music, romantic ballads, or thoughtful social commentary in song
Talk about doing it really "Live" on Soul Train. The true definition of Soul Music. As we continue on celebrating 50 years of Philadelphia International Records. Thank you Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. 🎶🎶💯💯 ❤🖤💚
Hey this is a good wk out song lose at lest 10 pds
Way better than the record version 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Masterpiece
💫✨ L🥰VE, L💜VE, L🖤VE, the chore, the raw vocals, the outfits . . . 💫✨
Great remastery of the "soft" sound from the original series. Woke stuff like Taylor Swift is louder than these disco classics, so I'm glad this and others have been restored to the same volume.
Sadly, I’m here today watching this on the day of the passing of Tito Jackson. I can’t believe that both Tito and Michael are gone now! However, The Jackson 5 will live forever in our hearts and minds! Thanks guys for the great memories! You all were amazing! J5❤🕊️🎸🎶🙏🏾
The O'Jays had the best fashion and dance steps. Not forgetting their music.
I know that’s right!!
MY UNCLE PLAYED THE O'JAYS ALL THE TIME. THIS IS MUSIC 🎶 THEY LOOKS GREAT AND THIS IS WHEN SINGERS COULD SANG . MUSIC 🎶 TODAY SUCKS TOTALLY .
They got it
Philadelphia International
at its best
They don’t make them like this anymore. After all these years they still sound good and even much better than what’s playing today. Top quality and not quantity. These type of music don’t just fade away. No matter how many decades pass and you play them they still live on.
Exactly
This is my wife’s favorite song concerning us. We’ll celebrate 50 years of marriage this year and this song has been with us throughout 💗💓💞💘💕❤️🩹
Congratulations on 50 years -more to come !!!!🎉
The Mighty Mighty O'Jays, singing live! I had to stop and restart this one. Turned the bass up and made it full screen. From the opening bongo drum, this song was top ten in my life. O'Jays are top three. I remember the first 45 I purchased was "Back Stabbers." Those voices, the musicians and the musical arrangement, too much. With "I Love Music" the O'Jays gave us a whole lot of R&B Soul to go with our disco, and MFSB was kicking it like love is the message or something. I could never sit down on this one. "I Love Music" always made me dance in happiness, so give me a little room on the floor. Such a clean and uplifting song to everyone. ♫♪ "Music is the healing force of the world. It's understood by every man, woman, boy and girl." ♪♫ And especially to my wife ♫♪ "Nothing can be better than a sweet love song. So sweet, so sweet, so mellow, mellow. When you got the girl that you love in your arms." ♪♫ PIR, always touching my life, much gratitude.
Some of my best dance moves on this tune right here! It had that beat, fills and licks that would bring a dying man back to life…
there is also a long version to this great song u tube
Got these GREAT LEGENDS OF MUSIC on repeat!!!!! 🎧🎵🎶😊 🔂
Always jiving to the O'Jays.
The O'Jays were the smoothest cats alive
@ 2:49-2:55 of this video, young lady in the pink at the bottom right corner of the screen is getting down on that dance floor. 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 She's in her own world. 🌎🌎🌎 She on her own planet. 🌍🌍🌍 Get it sista! 😁😁😁
This is real soul music 🎶 🎵
REAL MUSIC
❤️♥️🤩🥰😍
REAL REAL SOUL MUSIC 🎶 X
No doubt
I could listen to soul music all day
Dancing, singing and sounding just like they do digitally. They don’t make em like this anymore 🤦🏽♂️
I love the O’Jays, from Italy.
Omg. Everybody hit the floor when the dj played this song.
OJays had the complete package, moves, cloths and harmony, if this doesn't move you, get checked out, just kidding, 66 and still going strong
One of the most talented groups of the past era.
How smooth is that? Very.
William Powell had already left the group due to illness. He would pass away the following year. He probably did sing on the background vocal tracks that are heard on the playback.
Yes sir.
William did sing background on this,
and he was on the follow-up album
“Message In Our Music”.
Sammy just toured in his place.
After William’s death in 1977,
Sammy fully replaced him,and
debuted on the album
“Traveling At The Speed Of Thought”
released that same year.
The music…the vocals…the energy…nothing like it today! Pure entertainment!
This song invites dancing !
When the percussion comes on you know it's time to get on the floor 😅
You can tell by the sound of Their voices ain't no Lip syncing
I am 63 I remember this song it takes me back ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊
My favorite song for so many years and my daughter was born in 1976-- Happiness is The O'Jays I Love Music 🎶
This is 2024 and who out there is still listening to this im 69 years old and still listen to this now this is 2025 still listen to this
I'm listening in. Comic books introduced me to the O'Jays (Love Train was my first).
You bet its still the best
67...when this came on in clubs....whoa 🎹🎤💯👍🙂
I grew up on all these greats.
Still love this song, greatings from germany, i am 62 years old🤗
I've always loved the sounds and moves of the Mighty, Mighty O'Jays. Despite only three, they sound so rich, as if there were more voices. Their line-up, though, fascinates me for some reason in that Eddie LeVert and Walter Williams always alternate singing in a song (which works beautifully), while flanking the middle fellow who is never heard solo 🤔
Even live while dancing. The 70's had the best music
0:08 I love it!!!
The very best of times...Thx for the awesome memories..
1975, one of the greatest years in my life. This song added to the joy of the time.
Philly sound is the finest music on the planet and this song could well be the daddy of them all. Fabulous arrangement 👍
Not even close.
@@gordonlewis9377 I trust you have a phone? Well go and tell someone else your opinion cos I certainly couldn`t give a fkk about it 👍
@@andicampbell8621 nobody give eff about you either.
Legendary O'Jays! They definitely was a staple of that Era! And others to come. 🕺🏼🕺🏼🕺🏼🌼💚♥️💙👑🙏😎💯
WOW!! There is no way I could sing and execute those complex dance steps simultaneously. Go O'Jays !!!
I'm winded just looking at them
Sammy Strain told how their choreographer, Cholly Atkins, would make them practice for hours on end. That’s why their steps were flawless.
@@twistedtitan5485I would be so out of breath trying to dance like that and singing at the same time! No one could ever say that the O’Jays members, whomever was singing along with Walter and Eddie over the years, didn’t get enough exercise, that’s for sure!! ❤
Sammy Strain!!! Never led a song but could dance the best of all, and was SO fine!!!!!
1:42 you can almost * smell * that ocean air just hearing that part. Windows down, 1976...
Nobody could mess with these cats , they were in a league of their own..🎉❤
I dance and dance!! This is about renewing minds, leaving shit behind!! Come on, dance!! 🎉🎉🎉

I am 55 years old now in Los Angeles California and back in the day this was oid school
Choreography Charlie Atkins, I understand taught all those beautiful steps to the O’Jays, superb dancing. The O’Jays are masters of their craft.
Yes.
Cholly taught the choreography,
and he also taught the Motown acts
their choreography.
Thank God for old school music
This is probably one of the best performances I have ever seen
The way that they step to those piano keys is Gold.
I am surprized they pulled this song off without tripping on that stage given what they were standing on.
Oh God. How I wish we had wonderful music like this being produced today.
