- My search for a new bike took me months, but the YT Decoy won the race as from my research, I believe it is the best bike to fit my needs, which is to go downhill fast whilst being playful.
I was also considering the the Whyte E180, Commencal Meta SX Signature, and Merida e-one sixty 9000. All of which are great bikes for sure!
We are disappointed and really confused why YT send out the bike separately from the charger, manual and tools, as I have an epic E-Bike sat in my garage with no E to power it.
Once the charger arrives I will take the bike on the local trails and give a full honest review for you guys.
Congratulations on the Decoy, I got the pro race about a year ago and it hasn't let me down at all, great choice and good luck.

Hey mate, Not always a great idea to support the E-bike by the dropper post on the work stand. Better to find a better support point to ensure that no damage is caused to the internal mechanism on the dropper. Cheers to you and YT!

Thank you for posting this. As I sit here in Canada, I patiently wait for my Decoy Pro race to arrive.... unfortunately not until the end of May as they are back ordered. This was exactly the video I was waiting for someone to post. I was wondering about the finish on the frame... I wasn't sure of it was Matte or gloss. Ordering a ride wrap for the bike and needed to know. Thanks dude ! look forward to the ride review. Cheers

Hi Meg and Luke I noticed you went for the size large on your Decoy. Do you normally go for the large frame or are you normally the medium. Also wondered what height you are I’m try to decide what size frame to order, I’m 5ft”9 Cheers Tim
Hi Tim, in the video I talk about my height, the frame size I run on my standard bike and the size of the Decoy etc.

Great Vlog 👍 I'm just about to pull the pin, and order one of these rigs 🙂 The sizing is one thing I'm toying with at the moment now I'm 6'3 the sizing chart puts me on a XL and I normally run a Large as I move around a lot on the bike and I worry with the 29 hoop on the front it'll feel too planted on a larger size. I noticed it was a concern also for yourself with going bigger in frame. Does it feel like your controlling the Titanic? Did the wheels come with tubes fitted or the juicy stuff? Lastly did they include proper pedals and not plastic specials 😬

How do you find the size Large? I'm 5ft 9in and thinking about buying one of these for my first ebike and was not sure what size to buy if i do. Cheers.
Hey Oscar FB I just had my first ride out this n some great local trails (steep tech, fast flowy line, jumps etc) and I can honestly say I was blown away. 100% the large was the right choice. The bike was playful but rolled over gnarly off camber roots so well. Will be posting my full feedback from today in the next few days or so 😀

Oscar FB 😀 I went for the mullet set-up as I sized up on the frame size, and it’s considerably heavier than a human powered bike, so thinking of it turning quicker in corners than the 29”, and wow did it turn well 😀
