- Bamiyan was once a place of Buddhist pilgrimage, now it is more closely associated with the destruction visited on Afghanistan's culture by war. Professor Aziz Ahamad Panjesheri , from Kabul University, brings us through the site where the two giant statues of the Buddha, that once dominated the valley, now lie in rubble, victims of the Taliban's iconoclastic rage. Despite this, the Bamiyan Valley remains one of the most beautiful (and stable) places in Afghanistan, and a must-see for any visitor. The valley was made a Unesco World Heritage site in 2003 but is also inscribed to the list of World Heritage in Danger. A project funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation aims at preserving the site and at the creation of an archeological park.

Land of the Hazara people
Our ancestors were Buddhists and they have lived their lives happily and peacefully, until their religions were forcibly removed from them. We should all change our religion back to the original Buddhism, as it was the religion of our forefathers, to give true respect to them. We can become Buddhists by practising the Teachings of The Buddha. Buddha has taught to do “no harm to ourselves and no harm to others” as his principal peaceful message. How can we become a Buddhist? By following the Buddha’s teachings of Love and kindness to oneself and to others by “not doing evil things, to purify one’s mind and to cultivate good”. No one can make you or unmake you a Buddhist. It is in your heart and you can practice it in your daily life. We don’t have to shout that we are Buddhists. By practicing the Buddha’s teachings, we become a Buddhist. We make ourselves a Buddhist from our hearts! Also, women and girls have total freedom when Buddhism was practiced by our forefathers. Buddha taught not to look at men or women but to concentrate on the minds. Buddha said that the mind is the fore runner and mind made are things and mind is the chief. To have a good and kind mind is the foremost in human quality, rather than a man or a woman. ازشما تشکر.

It's beautiful Land and afghan people. After 30 years of war , which led the Afghanistan to stone age and jeopardize trust to any outsiders. Awareness- raising campaign can make a difference to educate the afghan people and increase accountability medical professionals. This people are vulnerable due to a lack of financial stability.
But they know well about war crimes: torture or inhuman treatment, including biological expiriments,great suffering, taking of hostages, human organ trafficking.
Now afghan people facing a trust issue to the western people and culture.

I wonder if there isn't some ancient game that resembles volleyball there. I know sports are illegal there. So this place has some freedom in acceptance of this sport. I even thought I saw boys And girls playing, together!!! Wow!!

The Hazara ethnic group who lives in Bamian province and central Afghanistan is totally different from the rest of people of Afghanistan, they are really acceptable.

The only way Central Asia can hav peace restored is if the traditional rulers of this nation are restored, Tajiks/farsiwan/Hazara/Turkic people, Pashtuns need to be relegated to mercenary and military service only, they can only fit in warrior caste as they always served this role for the many dynasties in Central Asia and not fit to lead a nation of diverse people’s like the last 200 years.
