    Very nice layout. Nice use of audio effects. Well organized video work with short clips that don't get boring.

      Don't know much about the stock sorry about that. Unfortunately Bob moved just recently and this layout no longer exists. He has started a new layout at his new home. Once that gets a little further along I will post a video of that layout.

    I enjoyed your layout. Thank you for sharing.
    I do B&O 1944 at the Harper's Ferry crossing with Brunswick and POR at one end of my operations and the edge of Martinsburg at the other.
    I do have a lower shelf with Elliott City for the passenger and Baltimore empties to start from.

      @@fredeisen7401 I am friends with Ryan and was curious if you had more info on Robert's railroad. I mostly model B&O and C&O.

      @@markbailey7943 Mark, I work with Bob at M.B. Klein's. His layout is approximately 30'x20' (dont know exact size) it is a double deck railroad with i believe a 40" radii helix on each end. The upper deck includes a peninsula that has the Western Maryland Railway on it and interchanges with the B&O. Layout is set in the 1950's. The upper deck is mostly sceniced. It includes a large yard with a roundhouse and turntable. The lower deck is mainly a stagging yard which is located under the yard on the upper deck. A portion of the lower deck has scenery. Layout is DCC using Digitrax.

    Great viewing. Still hard to get used to seeing foreign roads "present even though they looked great. Thanks.

    Gorgeous, lush scenery - hills, tunnels, rock cuts. And, good camera angles. - especially when they wend around those curves, approaching the camera. I never could tell the difference between the GP7s and GP9s, though the GP7 makes 1500hp and, like the F9, the GP9 pumps out 1750hp.

      Bill's layout is something special. One of my model railroad groups scheduled the visit so I tagged along glad I did!!

    A very nice video and layout. I have plans to expand my own HO scale layout, though I don't believe mine will be quite as large (or detailed) as this. I also want to primarily have Pennsylvania Railroad locomotives on my layout, though I do have a spot in my heart for the B&O and have visited the museum.

    Wikipedia states that the Baldwin Sharknose diesel, "quickly gained a reputation as a reliable and rugged locomotive, with tough ''"lugging power.'" I'd always heard Baldwin diesels weren't that good. Not so.

    just a comment, not finding fault, isn't that a western type big boy with b and o livery rather than an alleghany?

    this is a really nice railroad but I have to admit I'm getting really confused when I see a lot of these from everything that I've read and model railroader in that they tell you not to mix the steam engines with the modern diesels because you wouldn't see them running together yet it seems like every railroad I practically see I see a combination about modern diesels and the old steamers together on the layouts so it really kind of confuses me.

    • @fredeisen7401
      @fredeisen7401  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bob had an open house that day and several people brought their locomotive over to run them which accounts for the modern diesel power. Bob usually operates steam and first generation diesels.
