Deepwater District Layout Visit

My friend Mark was invited to join in an operating session on the spectacular Virginian Deepwater District layout owned and built by Gerry Albers. Mark invited me to join him as a "plus one", and I jumped at the chance! Turns out this layout is located within a five-minute drive from my home.
In terms of scope and flavor, the VGN and the V&O are both primary influences for my fictional WP&P. So even though this is an HO layout, not N, I greatly enjoyed the chance for the first-hand experience.
