CR10 V2 V3 X Axis - Pt 3: Reassembly & Shimming

How many times did I remove the stepper motor when the arm on the other side is designed to release tension on the belt? Seems I forgot that simple part.
Regardless, the third part where I put the X Gantry back together and we shim the belt. The idea is to keep the belt from drifting into the pulley. If it does not, when it travels, you don't need to shim the mechanics. If you find that you cannot adjust the cog so that there is no pulley rubbing you will have to shim.

Hi reali nice guide for CR 10 V2 I have question on you what you think about metal wheels specialy stainless steel i wont upgrade mine CR10V2 with thees. And sorry for mi english im from czech republic so i hope you undertan me.

Hello to the Czech Republic! I have a friend in Slovenia!
Metal wheels can work, but you do not get the play rubber wheels offer. Meaning, when you tighten the wheels against the V Grooves on the aluminum bar you can deform the aluminum by tightening too much. Aluminum wheels can still deform the V-Groove. If you cannot get polycarbonate wheels, you will need to replace the black ones yearly with frequent use.
