Well ZT sucks 😞 no longer worth paying attention to any more. So much money to be had in the old overbuilt ZT knives but yet they're too stupid to do anything about making any . As far as I'm concerned they don't care what their customers want anymore they're just going to continue to make knives that very few people want compared to the majority of people . All you have to do is look at the comments of every ZT advertisement ZT on TH-cam anywhere and you'll see the same thing people are fed up with the direction that ZT is going but they're just going to double down on the path of stupidity . I agree with you on why they can't do both. Give us the overbuilt and then do the little EDC stuff. Let the Kershaw part of the company take care of the small stuff and ZT just needs to keep building the big boys. Thanks for sharing brother 🤙
WELL SAID! DAMN I'M PISSED! I buy a lot of knives and I really make an effort to buy blades that are "MADE IN AMERICA" (except for LionSteel's and Spyderco's from Taichung & Seki City - those are cool). Historically, ZT has been one of my go-to company's, because I like BIG, OVER-BUILT KNIVES like the Benchmade Adamas, LionSteel SR-11; ZT 0562; etc. If I want a little toy knife like the piece of shit Benchmade Bugout - I'll go to Toys-R-Us! What the hell man! Enough of these little knives ZT!!
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they just killed the ZT line and made some higher end kershaws to fill the gap. Seems to be the direction KAI is going
@@chucknunface yeah they're definitely not doing anything to help themselves that's for sure . I don't understand having a market where you can make money but not wanting to make the money I don't know what their deal is 😂
@@ExtraCrispy357 yeah they should change their name from ZT to cunts are us 😂come one come all and buy your little toy knives from a company that no one can count on 😂
@@piperkennard1039 literally every post on Instagram they make of a classic design, 90% of the community comments are in the vein of "Bring these back!" #makeztgoboldagain
WTH!! Why did they discontinue the 0308! I completely agree with you! I have been TOTALLY WAITING for a FULL-TITANIUM (on both scales - like the 0562Ti)! I love the chevron milling on the scales and the size of this blade. I really dislike the 1/2 & 1/2 Titanium & G10/Micarta; I really don't get why people like this - especially in that ugly 'Tan Coyote' G10. The one you have looks much better with the black G10, but WHY NOT JUST MAKE BOTH SCALES IN TITANIUM!?! I can understand the 1/2 & 1/2 (a little bit more) for Hinderer folders - it brings the cost down, BUT they sell every type/color of scale you want to upgrade your knife later to spread out the cost. Shit man! I think I'm going to have to buy one of those ugly Tan Coyote ones if I want this! (The country I live in I cannot get the special release of that newer one with bluish black scale). YOU ARE RIGHT - this is such an awesome blade - why discontinue? I also agree - ZT has WAY TO MANY skinny, slim knives. I think the Benchmade Bugout toy knife has negatively impacted the knife community into accepting/desiring these little flimsy knives. YES, YOU ARE RIGHT - DO BOTH! I'm REALLY PISSED! i WAS SO WAITING FOR THE FULL TI!!!!
I have a 0308 and I like it better than my old 0303, but I wish the show side scale was the same thickness as the l/s. It bothers me for some reason lol
@wrjames38 fair enough, most people don't watch the whole thing. I definitely didn't discuss that in depth but I mention it. Merry Christmas to you also.
They've been doubling down on the exclusive/sprint Spyderco approach, lately. If they disco it, then maybe the exclusives will prove more successful in the future. I accept that Spyderco has to crank out 50 different pm2 versions with mass appeal to be able to make the weirdo knives that i love, so i can't really fault zt if their considering a similar route.
This was the best zt still in production. Its so sad. Really sad people wont be able to get one anymore. Zt just keeps making the wrong moves. All the zt knives i own now are discontinued.
What they put out now must be selling because they keep doing it. I really wouldn't be surprised if they just shut ZT down altogether and made some more premium kershaws.
If it's the same bit used to unscrew the 0620 pivot, it's a 3/8 socket. Would make sense since they like to make as many parts interchangeable as possible. I respect it, but I was never a big fan of the 300 series so I'm not sad about this one being discontinued. I am sad about them moving further away from tank knives, though. But it does make good business sense to do such a thing. Apart from it being important to keep things fresh with new options, a bunch of dainty sissy boys have flooded the knife community and you gotta cater to them or risk losing all your business to China I guess 🤷♂🥲
No hope left for the brand personally. Long live the ZT of old
The 0308 gave us hope, but that was 4 years ago and nothing else really happened. So that's that
@chucknunface so sad to see it go, i judt bought 2 extras when i heard the news.
That’s why I always buy my favorite knives in pairs 😅
Smart lol

Honestly I hadn't noticed...now I'm going to look 🤣
@ once you realize, you can’t unsee it lol
I have the BLKTS and the original and really like both.
They're good for sure.
KAI only know how to make bad business decisions
Seems that way at least
love um
These are both good models
Simple economics.. low sales=discontinued!
I speak to that in the video

But where's the beef? Zt doesn't really deliver cool sprints. They'll drop a 640 then discontinue the line.

It is a 3/8ths. Sissy bois. That's funny.
